Bad customer service

Curry's PC customer service is so bad, called service line several times and the told me I had come through the wrong line I had to contact the Irish line, ok but the service line is an Ireland number, I called again and they told me several times that a 🚚 courier will come collect it but they lie, up till today no courier has come, they are waiting for my warranty to expire so they can close the case.
Update I called again and was told I had to take it to the store for repair and no courier was gonna come collect it, meanwhile I have waited 3 weeks for collection.
I took it to store and the store attendant informed me to call customer service to have it exchanged because it cannot be repaired.

Home computer repair

My home computer suddenly stopped working which contained a load of work which had been saved only on to my computer. I took the computer into PC World in Enfield, and spoke to Stephen in the repair counter. I was upset at the thought of losing months worth of work. Stephen was sympathetic, helpful and extremely professional. He listen to my story, told me that it would be sent away for at least a week, but there was hope that it would be back within seven days, but prepared me for the worst. He even went to my car to collect the computer. I was kept up to date with texts showing progress. I received a message after six days to say that my computer had been fixed and was ready for collection. Stephen was there when I arrived and again I received the same outstanding service. After explaining what had happened, and me signing the form, he picked up the computer and returned it to my car. Thank you, Stephen, for your exemplary care and support.

I was originally wrong in my opinion of the store, and cannot fault them at all.

After posting a not too perfect review that Curry's sent to me following the purchase of a new laptop. I was called by the gentleman who set up my computer called Gordon. On returning to the shop with my computer he explained that everything I had previously been told, was technically correct. However, having been brought up with computers he was technically able to recover photos from my corrupted old laptop, without transferring the virus etc. He was most helpful and understanding and it completely changed my view of the store and I regret my earlier comments. I would always have confidence to recommend them.

Currys Appalling Customer Service

I ordered a washing machine online in late 2019. Currys delivered and installed it. Unknown to me it was severely damaged prior to installation. This would have been obvious to the fitters who failed to tell me and prevented my examining the item prior to fitting. Severe damage only came to light when machine moved from under worktop to deal with leak a few days ago. Clearly, it had sustained severe impact damage to the top, and left hand rear corner prior to installation. Machine out of 2 yr warranty. Damage present but not notified to me at time of fitting. Currys only offered half cost of original machine despite it being "beyond economical repair." Reliable Domestic Repair firm unable to source vital part anyway, and further internal damage may come to light. Now a dispute with Consumer Arbitration. If you as a customer encounter a problem with Currys, obtain Legal Advice and never do business with them again.

After my last experience with Currys - NEVER AGAIN!

After my last experience with Currys (trying to return a faulty/dangerous Decent One Max eScooter), I reckoned we're all entitled to a 2nd. chance - so I purchased a Lemotion A1F eScooter. After delivery, I removed it from the box and ran all the functional/safety checks (after propping it up on 2 axle stands). No issues/problems with the battery/motor/speed tests - all good. So I started customising it (numerous high-viz reflective strips etc.). However, it wouldn't lock with the stem folded (a nuisance at best, possible safety issue at worst). It's then I discovered the locking hook had actually broken/snapped (possibly in transit?) & found the broken bit in the box. So I duly reported same and requested a replacement. Result - "It's up to the manufacturer. Besides. we don't carry spare parts but we may consider replacing the entire scooter...". I'd already recycled the box so can't return it! IMHO a simple answer would be to remove the hook from the display model in the local branch & use that as the replacement. Apparently not possible! Once again, Currys have proven to be the Ryanair of Retail - "We're all besties until we get your money". Never again. AVOID THESE CLOWNS!

Disappointed with curry’s dundalk…

Disappointed with curry’s dundalk today. Salesman Kiitan was very nice to deal with but I was annoyed that the laptop I could have ordered last night online for 639 was 719 when I got to the store before 10am this morning and there was absolutely no budging on the price when salesman spoke to the manager. I deliberately didn’t order online as I work in a similar industry and believe in going back to your salesperson and giving them the sale and the figures for the store targets. I know how hard salespeople work to keep on target and I was really disappointed that my loyalty was not appreciated as I would have honoured the price if this situation occurred in the store I manage. Had to spend over my budget on laptop and forego buying extras like warranty and a bag. Will shop elsewhere next time.

DO NOT BUY FROM CURRYS ONLINE

I ordered a fridge online on 12 Jan 2021 and did not receive it or any communication. So I cancelleded the order and received an email saying that I have a refund and a refund receipt. However, that is all, I still have not received the refund 22 days later. I went to Limerick as the telephone line was not working and they were rude and unhelpful. I said nobody has apologised and they just shrugged their shoulders and said there was nothing they could do. DO NOT BUY FROM CURRYS ONLINE

MUST READ!!

MUST READ!!
MUST READ!!! I had to update from previous review, They replied to my bad review And told me to contact them which I did.

This is the first bad review I did and later after this you will see the second part !

Where do I even begin really! grab a coffee as this is diabolical. I have given Pc World every chance for it not to get to this point. I would give minus 100 if I could that's how bad PC World is. I'm 38 and I once before had a problem with PC World when I was in my 20s but I thought they surly cant still be bad but omg they are even worse that I could possibly imagine. Hoped they improved!

Anyone reading this I'm not one for complaining and I even work in retail and deal with complaints and situations so I'm fully aware that public can go a bit far but this is too much I have to write on here to warn anyone to NOT buy from pc world ever unless you want endless hassle.

Here is my story! So the build up to xmas 2021 I wanted to buy a brand new HP Omen pc worth £1500 and I went into store to place this order as I wanted it for xmas day as it was a present. I paid £10 delivery for special delivery to get it on xmas eve all ready to wrap up for xmas! while I was working on xmas eve I get a nice message from Pc World saying as requested your delivery date has changed to the 29th!! I was shocked!! called DPD and had argument with them as they said I changed the delivery date!! what idiot would pay £10 for xmas delivery to then change it after xmas when the pc was a xmas present but the low educated person on the phone couldn't understand that.

So off I went to the store to find out what was going on, to find my item was now being sent to me on the 29th and as you could imagine I was fuming as it was a xmas present, ruining my whole xmas. I asked for a refund of my £10 special delivery I never got!! I got told I should be able to get you the £10 refund Should!!! I think not!! like you will refund me that £10. I got no decent apology or anything and the lady even said this happened to her!

After this I waited until the 29th to finally get my pc to open it and see they sent me a complete wrong pc!!!

Next min the computer I did order online changed and it was updated to this pc I got sent so they advertised something online which I paid for and they must of known they didn't have it or had the details wrong so they sent me a different pc. They miss sold me and false advertised.

After this I returned the computer to the shop and again no decent apology and I got refunded the pc money but no compensation when I asked. They said I can get compensation online after saying how disgusting this was.

From there I went back and fourth with online chats and over the phone and giving them chance after chance as I will go to the ombudsman if not fixed. Pc world does not care and this went on so many times I've actually lost count, I've been hung up on and told they can give me £10 compensation!!! £10!!! that's my original special delivery money I paid for. in the end they said they will give me £50 and I just accepted even though I should have more as they were doing my head in.

But!!! this money never arrived even after getting a ref code for it and I'm still waiting after more multiple calls and being told it will arrive in a few days and then a few weeks go by and still nothing!! Then I got hung up on again and I have been so patient and not raised my voice at them once. not my style to do that. so its now Feb the second and I went into the store and asked to speak to the store manager to fix or just give me £50.

No can do they said I have to wait a further week!! to get a reply to an email he has now sent! I doubt I will hear anything.

ADDED TO MY PREVIOUS BAD REVIEW!
Above this is what I left in Google reviews and trust reviews so I will carry on with my on going situation as it’s now madness. So I never heard from anyone after the store manager left a email to important people he told me that will contact me. I had zero contact!!

So I left left bad reviews and I had curry’s, pc world send messages on here to make out they care. I called this number they left and I get through to an automated system where eventually I spoke to a lady and I had to explain my situation for the 10th millionth time.

Thought I would get somewhere and was promised I would get a call on Monday! 3 went past and past the day she said she would call. Never got this call so I called up and again I was promised to be called the next day and booked the day off so I don’t miss. They never called!!

I called again every time I have to repeat my situation and I asked to spk to a manager. I was told I will see if I can find one. 20 mins I was on hold for the same person to tell me “my manager said I’m right” you can’t get a £50 gift cards. I’ve got photo evidence of pc world saying they will pay in my bank. I don’t want a gift card! Plus they broke the law FCA! I’m creating a Facebook page for customers like me to protest outside their shops

Went into store to buy a dishwasher and one I liked was not in stock so man said I could take away one in store and give discount but needed to see another man to see how much. He came back and said can’t give me that one but can give me the older model which looked the same done the same etc but was selling me it for £50 more and it was marked on front. Why would I pay £50 more for one which was a older model and marked. No thanks I’ll go else were.

Bought a laptop on Sunday from curry's…

Bought a laptop on Sunday from curry's St John's retailpark wolverhampton on 21/11/21 was informed that it will be ready for collection on Tuesday 23,/11 and I would get a email to confirm it was at the shop, no email was sent by the 25/11 so I visited the shop to make enquiry. Had a very unpleasant unprofessional and abusive experience with Sale assistant at the till called MOLLY Firstly she said I must have recieve an email asked me to check my spam inbox which was empty.. even then she won't satisfy and asked to view MY PHONE witch was declined. I asked to speak to a manager and a female came over stated that she was one of the managers trying to explain why i was there was hard as MOLLY kept butting in when asked to let her deal with it she ignored the manager who then asked for my email to check her system and said an email was sent out to me that the product was delivered to the store since Tuesday and asked MOLLY to go and get it. I NO FOR AFACT I WILL NOT BE SHOPPING AT CURYS AGAIN AS I felt humiliated because there was people behind me just tried and avoid this very unpleasant person if you go to that shop.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I literally don't even know where to start with these CRIMINALS!

I ordered two rather expensive items from them on the 26th of October. Why? Because the website assured me that they were in stock, and I'd have them in 3 to 5 working days. Grand, I thought.

But that wasn't to be. Fast forward to today, exactly a month on from my purchase date, and I have received an email saying that they won't have stock of what I ordered until the 8th of November - 1.5 months after I ordered them!!!

If I hadn't already been promised two previous delivery dates by the "customer service" team (who require a strange amount of personal info other than an order number when making an inquiry with them), I wouldn't feel so bad.

Also, I have now requested a refund on 3 separate occasions, all to no avail. I simply get ignored.

What they are doing constitutes fraud, so I would recommend EVERYONE who is considering buying from them to look elsewhere.

A month later, and I still don't have the products I ordered, or the refund I have requested 3 separate times.

I ordered a cooker for my grandparents…

I ordered a cooker for my grandparents as there’s had broken and we got told on the day of delivery (5th September). We had a message the day before saying everything was okay and it was being delivered, the morning of delivery we got a message saying we have no fitters available and the earliest date we can do it is 1st October. I was extremely disappointed as my grandparents can’t make any hot food for themselves until the 1st of October and it was ordered on august the 9th. I wouldn’t recommend curry’s pc world at all to anybody and I will definitely not be using them again !

Delivery service very poor

Bought an American fridge freezer to be delivered Friday afternoon before the even go to the door they were saying it won't fit through (experience must have told them this) so after measuring the door and a bit of head scratching and no offer of a solution they put the fridge in the conservatory one of the guys stood on my wife's ankle (later went to a&e to check it was not broken) then they left, after reading the instructions the first instruction says doors to be removed to fit through doors why wasn't this suggested I think we were last delivery so wanted to get home instead of providing a sevice. Took the doors off but unfortunately when moving the fridge my son dropped his end putting a dint in the fridge enough said wont be getting the rest of my kitchen alliances from them
