THEY DON'T ANSWER THEIR SUPPORT NUMBER
This company is now Pay360 by Capita.
Their system has a glitch whereby they ask you to change your password and then he system goes into some sort of weird loop and you can not get in to your account until you actually speak to somebody.
Problem is that they do not answer the phone - been holding for more than 30 minutes on the number they call Support.
Review of Paypoint
Used Paypoint for around 9 years. They did the job hence 3 stars. However due to mis communication (this could have been down to them or me) my account was not closed and was left to run 12 months.
When I called and said I was clearly not using my account and asked to have some of the fees refunded (not all but most) they did not answer the question (ie 'I need to ask my manager first'). And then after 3 further e-mails (which were ignored) and a phone call finally got an answer 'no' but we will waive the termination period.
Poor, arrogant and lack lustre customer service and would never give them my business again.
Great service
Never had any downtime in the 4 years I used them. Much more helpful than other companies. I would consider using them again should I need ecommerce services in the future.
Always helpful
Great company always helpful and so helpful for a non techy like me.
Highly recommend.
Worst Company in the World
If you can avoid this arrogant team please do so. otherwise good luck to you. Customer support next to nothing. if there was a -10 in scoring they would achieve that with eyes closed.

Pleasure to do buiness with
In agreement with the prior review, I don't think that most of the bad reviews understand the role of Paypoint and their grievances are with the merchant.
We have used Paypoint to facilitate online payments at my current and previous company, both gambling operators, and I have enjoyed a good working relationship with them for over 6 years.
The Paypoint account management team is excellent, Joanna and Trish have been particularly pro-active in offering solutions to improve our payment process and optimise our revenue. They are backed up by a customer services team that offer quick and professional support.
Look elsewhere. These are next to useless as soon as a problem arises
CAN SOMEONE JUST RESOLVE THIS PLEASE. I AM FED UP WITH GETTING FOBBED OFF ON THE PHONE.
A week ago Tuesday I am told it should be done the following day
Monday when I called back it was like listening to the same call, ie nothing had been done. Talk about de ja vu.
Yesterday I was told that the expiry date doesn’t need updating the refund just needs pushing through.
Today I was told that yesterdays information was wrong, and has been in a queue, but is now being done with high priority . This was an hour ago, and I have had no call back, I cannot get through to you without sitting in a queue for 10 plus minutes. Just how long is this queue? Nearly two weeks and nothing?
Just WTx is going on? Does it normally take TWO WEEKS to sort out an issue like this?
I have raised a compliant, why has no one contacted me about it?
Can some please just pull their finger out of their back side, and get this sorted, as I have an abusive customer wanting their £180 back, and after nearly 2 weeks of Paypoint dragging their knuckles, who can blame them?
When everything runs well, Paypoint is the perfect service. When theres and issue like this, they are a complete waste of time.

Rubbish
Kept declining a perfectly valid bank card, have checked with my bank......businesses beware! paypoint will decline valid sales, not inform you, and drive business away.
Update: 10/July Paypoint have complained about this review, so I am adding a little detail to it. Briefly - I used paypoint to buy some beauty products from a small British company. On checkout my visa debit card was declined.... no reason given, no error message about the card number entry, or incorrect form filling, no 'please enter your details again'..... just declined and then locked out of re-entering the payment portal. Worried, I contacted my bank who checked my account and my card. They assured me that all was ok with both the account and that the card was working. I contacted the company by phone to explain what had happened........a very helpful woman said that they had no knowledge of a declined card/failed payment/failed transaction. So she offered to complete the transaction by phone. As I am a small business owner myself I asked if they had received similar phone calls from people like myself who had tried to buy through the website and had failed... She admitted that this did happen. I flagged up that the payment portal was inflexible and arbitrary and this might have an impact on sales. I suggested that they might look at other companies who provide a much better service. Paypoint need to spend more time working on a usable interface and less time trying to silence legitimate and truthful complaints about their awful service.
And it's not just me....just look up paypoint complaints into a search engine. The National Federation of Retail Newsagents, one of the largest retail organisations in Europe has started a formal proceedings against Paypoint with the Regulator.

Poor customer service
Waiting for a refund as yet. Numerous emails sent but no reply. Bank say payment is still with Paypoint. They need an online chat function or something. Very poor customer service.

Good payment service and online support
Customer support that goes the extra mile
I use PayPoint.net with a client of mine on a magento site and found them very helpful in the setup process. However beyond this is where I was really impressed with their support.
I had various issues with our site following a server upgrade. Our PayPoint.net point of contact was extremely helpful in identifying and rectifying the problems we were having even though the problems were not caused by their module.
All in all it has been really easy to integrate PayPoint.net on magento and I would use them again in future with other clients.
Brilliant Customer Support
We had a bit of a problem integrating a zencart site with PayPoint/SECPay. Upon contacting a member of their customer support staff (Robin). They were able to quickly help me figure out the problem and get it working. I'd recommend their online payment gateway for the main reason that if you were to encounter any problems, i'd be confident they would be able to help you out.
Terrible
Don't go near this company, totally incompetent when it comes to business......Our medium sized company is still waiting to have the ability to see our account balance, this is over 12 months now.....Avoid

useless company with systems that do not work
I have set up a paypoint account and have been useing for around a year. I have to say that my initial dealings with them were quite good. However this all ended once the account was set up and i started takeing payments.
Initial i was informed that payments would hit my account within 2 weeks of payment being taken. Some of you may think what a long time to wait however we knew we could work with this timescale as a short term measure and paypoint was never intended to be on our site long term. Anyway we started takeing payments and soon realised that paypoints online transaction system did not work you can not see what you are getting paid or when the only thing that is shown is each days individual transaction. So we were getting paid out but not knowing how much was coming. There were no statements at all to say what we would be paid in any way shape or form for the first 6 months. IF you ring paypoint there advisors are clueless and can only say they will speak to the merchant bank in germany and get back to you. On top of this chargebacks were taken from our account without any warning or chance to defend them. These were then taken twice as informed by paypoints staff. It then turns out after 6 months of chaseing this money that paypoints staff had got it wrong and the money never actually left my account. I have had refunds done twice. The staff are more than helpful on the phone but they do not have the ability to do anything it seems paypoint is just a front for a german company who do all the work and paypoint get paid for doing nothing.
I would stay away from paypoint at all costs we no longer use paypoint and would never recommend them to anyone

Truly Horrendous - AVOID!!
I have never received worse customer service from any other company. I signed up for a website payment solution having been recommended to PayPoint by a colleague, and after seeing the advertising on their website that I would be able to "start trading within 24 hours".
After submitting my application I heard nothing for 4 days, not even an automated acknowledgement of my application. I then rang PayPoint customer services to find out what was going on, and waited on hold for 25 minutes before I got to speak to a single person. After that I received an email requesting information from me for their 'compliance procedures', and informing me that once submitted my application would be completed within 5-7 days. The representative I spoke to admitted that the 24 hour claim on the website is essentially untrue, and is never achieved in practice.
I submitted the required information, despite my annoyance at the large amount of additional information requested (to my knowledge no mention of any of this was made at the application stage), and heard nothing for 14 days, again not even an acknowledgement that my email had been received. After 14 days I once again contacted PayPoint, and have received numerous apologies by email, but have not received any actual service from them (none of the details I need to set up my website and payment solution).
Even since I contacted them after 14 days they have continued to fail again and again to provide any level of customer support. I have been left with no information again and again, and had to take the initiative myself to ask what is going on. Promises have been broken again and again. I asked them to phone me and they could not even manage that - they sent another apologetic email instead. They really could not have done anything worse.
Just to be clear, they took my payment (£180) at the start of the process, and still have it. I have not been offered any refund, or any other tangible recompense.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. There are plenty of other payment solutions providers available, and none of them could possibly be worse.
