It is sad. I have used PayPal since I first heard of it. I've appreciated being a valued client and benefitted from their customer care, a real advocate for the consumer. No longer true. I was den... See more

I was covered by customer insurance but…
I was covered by customer insurance but I never got the full amount back from a package which I never received.
I have written emails to PayPal and to trendynewlook several times regarding this order .. no response??
PayPal have closed the case after only refunding me half the amount after I have called them 3 times and they tell me to write to the shop who doesn’t reply back
Order No. TNL00011274
I never received my package I asked PayPal for a refund but I only got refunds for one item not both of them. Please refund me for the other item still pending, thank you!
Disputed charges
I am extremely frustrated with my recent experience with PayPal, and after years of use, this may be the final straw.
I discovered three unauthorized recurring charges of $24.99 from my garage door service (MyQ). I never knowingly authorized these charges through my PayPal account, nor did I provide PayPal or credit card information to this vendor. Yet somehow, the charges were established and continue to hit my account monthly.
I called myIQ to resolve the issue but could never reach them no matter how I tried to contact them.
PayPal’s dispute process is deeply flawed. The interface is rigid and does not allow customers to clearly explain nuanced problems like unauthorized recurring billing. Because I selected what appeared to be the closest option, the system instantly categorized the charge as “authorized” and denied my claim in under a minute—without any meaningful review. That is not a dispute resolution process; it is an automated rejection system.
I then called the PayPal support telephone # trying to fix what should have been a straightforward issue. That time was completely wasted. The representative was unable to understand the situation or take effective action.
The experience got worse. The representative showed no real grasp of the issue, no urgency, and no ownership. I had to repeat myself multiple times, and it became clear that there was no capability to resolve even a basic unauthorized recurring charge. For a financial services company, that is unacceptable.
Let me be clear: this is not a minor inconvenience. Unauthorized recurring billing is a serious matter. The fact that PayPal’s system both allowed it and then failed to properly investigate or resolve it raises significant red flags about their controls and customer protections.
I have used PayPal for many years, but this experience has completely undermined my confidence in their platform. A company handling financial transactions should be more savvy on resolving serious issues. I noticed 1000s of negative comments on Trustpilot pertaining to PayPal. They need to get their act together or they will lose much business and possible bankruptcy.
Paypal needs a dispute system that actually evaluates claims. It looks to me that their IT staff sucks in capability. They need to hire a new competent IT staff. How hard can it be to write a code to review and process disputed transactions.
They also need to hire customer service representatives who understand basic billing issues who have the ability to stop unauthorized recurring charges promptly.
As a result, I will be withdrawing my remaining rewards and closing my account permanently. I have multiple alternatives that provide far better service and reliability, including Chase, Citi, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo. Based on this experience, I see no reason to continue using PayPal.
If PayPal does not significantly improve both its dispute resolution process and live customer support quality, I suspect many long-time customers will reach the same conclusion.
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever, slow issue long refunds, customer service reps are trained to be useless
AWFUL OVERSEAS CUSTOMER SERVICE!
AWFUL OVERSEAS CUSTOMER SERVICE!! They do not advocate for their customers at all for fradulent transactions. Filed an appeal numerous times and they keep closing it without even looking into it, Im getting my refund come hell or high water and then will be closing my account!!
DO NOT OPEN A PAYPAL ACCOUNT THEY ARE SCAMMERS
PAYPAL ROBBED ME OVER$800 IN AUTHORIZED CHARGES AND REFUSED TO HELP ME
THIS IS HAPPENING TO A LOT OF PEOPLE IF YOU DO BUSINESS WITH PAYPAL YOU JUST ASKING TO HAVE YOUR LIFE RUINED
Worthless in Disputes
Their Resolution Center is a joke. Based on the other reviews, Paypal supporting China scam companies is common. I opened 2 cases from same scam company. Companies from China are purposely hiding that they are a Chinese company & when the cheap, misrepresented products are received, THEN the China company rears its head. They totally disregard their return/refund policy & what follows is the same game of these scam companies...the offer to keep the product & accept a measly % refund or return the product to Hong Kong or China, in which shipping costs are more than the product. So the next step is Paypal, a bigger curse. My complaint had to do with 2 higher charges than the confirmation, & a missing product. Ironod, claimed it was their system error. They held my partial refund hostage unless I closed ny case. Paypal finds in their favor. Try to appeal on-line. There is no appeal "button," so I try to contact a human at Paypal bcz the AI response does not have my "reason for call" option. There is no human option. Ridiculous! There is no protection of the consumer. Paypal is worthless.
PayPal sucks
PayPal sucks! Period. They have no issues holding onto your money for their own shady purposes while limiting your access to it for no reason. So many better sites. As much as I despise Square app, they are far more trustworthy and reliable than PayPal. Always a f**##*g problem with them. Always!
DO NOT USE THIS INDIAN SCAM SITE.
DO NOT USE THIS INDIAN SCAM SITE.
PAYPAL IS A HORRIBLE PLATFORM.
PAYGENIES.COM IS WAY BETTER.
Really it should be minus 5 stars and…

Paypal Buyer Protection enabled scammer Chinese Marketer
Unknowingly bought fraudulant items from stealth Chinese company that represented itself as Wildvoy.com ostensibly doing business in the US, Offered refund if not satisfied. Paid using Paypal for Resin type figurine Christmas ornaments. Received fraudulent picture cutouts of the ornaments shipped from China. Complained to Paypal for buyer protection against the obvious fraud. Paypal protected the deceptive company who required returning the cutout pictures to China instead of shipping them to their US shipper address. Of course it would cost nearly what I paid for the fraudulent items to return them plus a hassle. Paypal buyer protection was always good for it in my past transactions over the last 23 years or so. I always trusted the pay with paypal button when buying online. Never again. They could improve their buyer protection by making sure the business they are giving credence to by giving them a paypal button are honest businesses that are not hiding their Chinese address to use as protection against dissatified customers ever being able to return items for a refund, which is fraud.
CLOSE YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT NOW
CLOSE YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT NOW! Disturbing things are going on with PayPal. Based on my experience, and their one star rating looks to be accurate. I went to cancel my account and was caught in an endless repeating loop of not bring able to do ANYTHING. This was so disturbing that I contacted my bank, three times, to see how I could get their fingers out of my bank account. They told me they couldn’t unlink my account, but to monitor it and they would reverse the charges. I finally got through to a customer service representative, only to have my call “dropped” a total of 8 times. I told the 4th rep I would file a complaint with the FCC if my call got “dropped” again. This smacks of employees being penalized if a customer is lost: ie, CUSTOMER RETENTION SPECIALISTS. Apparently they not penalized for “dropped” calls. These are signs of a company in serious trouble. If they don’t close my account by tomorrow, my next stop is the BBB, their state Attorney General, then the FCC, and I think I’ll do some FaceBooks posts too. This lack of customer service is completely unacceptable. Tell your friends!
This the second time I opened a refund…
This the second time I opened a refund claim against Yolo Brothers who took out $49.99 from my paypal account!! Which NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALLOWED! That site Yolo Brothers A.K.A ask Nubula never had PERMISSION *the auto payment was CANCELED back on November 28th 2025 the same day I canceled that site that I did sign up for only 1 day!!! Well on December 31st Yolo Brothers A.K.A ask Nubula took out $49.99. A MONTH AFTER ALL WAS CANCELED!
The first dispute I filed (paypal decided in their favor?!? Even after all the emails and canceled date I gave??
I opened another dispute...we shall see what happens.
Never use PayPal for any merchant…
Never use PayPal for any merchant service let alone any transaction over $20. They will let you use their services for several months but when you use it to make large transactions, they will keep your money and ask you for paperwork. Even when you send proper paperwork, they still limit your account And block you from access. I lose Customer and reputation because PayPal held my money for no reason even after submitting my drivers license identification and business license. I call for over a week and get the runaround. Do not use PayPal ever.
Old, Tired and Now Completely Useless PayPig
Out of the blue, a refund through paypal was taken out of one of my accounts that paypal was no longer drawing from, nor depositing into, for years. Out of the blue. Now the bank charged me an overdraft fee. Thanks paypig.
This company is too big and it needs to go. It's not a good company to work with anymore. It's tired and useless. Just go over the TON of negative reviews on here. Incredible. Don't use it if you don't have to.
PayPal US is not set up to protect your money!!
I've been a member of PayPal US for 17 years & have had reason to use their service a lot in the past year. Recently I was charged an Unauthorized Charge - presented proof in a timely fashion - & was denied a refund. NOT GOOD. Now, I know to ONLY use PayPal if I can afford to lose that specific amount of money because they DO NOT protect OUR money as they should. Their trust level has descended greatly.
Pay pal is the scammiest payment…
Pay pal is the scammiest payment platform there is...I was shopping on belk.com for clothes and when I went to checkout there was a pay in 4 option through PayPal I was hesitant but did it anyways I clicked on it but the payment never went through it kept rolling around in circles saying processing that went on for 10 minutes so I backed out and used my debit card to buy the order well a few days later I'm going through my emails and find an email from PayPal thanking me for my purchase to belk so I go to my bank account and sure enough there's a charge in my account to belk so I call PayPal to cancel the order and they say wait till I receive the order and take it back for a refund needless to say I received 2 orders for the exact same thing but it ended up not fitting so I take both orders back to my local belk for a refund and first of all belk had the hardest time refunding the PayPal order but after 30 minutes was able to get it done but the money didn't go back to my bank account it went to PayPal so I call them and they say it was charged from my PayPal credit account well I'm not aware of any credit account I have with PayPal but to shorten this story up I don't get my money back and when I try to dispute the charge with wells Fargo they sided with PayPal so I'm out $54.79 and this isn't the first time I've been screwed using pay pal that's why I was hesitant to use them but they were the only option belk uses for pay in 4 option...I am so livid over this and am done with PayPal they've stolen the last dollar from me and done with Wells Fargo too I advise anybody never to use PayPal
Hate PayPal!!!
Hate PayPal!!!! Have tried numerous times to close my account with paypal and they make it almost impossible to do so! PayPal sucks!!!
Unrelenting email harassment
I asked a question on Paypal's site and got an incorrect answer, so I found the solution with zero help from them.
In past 7 days, Paypal has pounded me with useless & repetitive emails, no matter how much I told them to stop. I think that's harassment, don't you?
They say I should change my notification settings, (which were successfully set years ago). Why is it MY job to make THEM stop harassing me? And their settings don't work anyway.
There is no justification for Paypal's outrageous conduct.
Here's a tip for you. The only way I have found to stop the flood of unsolicited emails is to tell them I will write a 1-star review every time they contact me unnecessarily. Eventually, a human takes notice and stops it.
Avoid them if you value your time, money, or sanity
PayPal has shown me the most pathetic customer service I’ve ever experienced on any online platform. I was charged on Oct 8 for an auto renewal for a membership, contacted both the seller and PayPal immediately, and the seller confirmed the refund within weeks. Meanwhile, I shared the seller’s email confirmation and the online chat screenshots with PayPal, along with the case ID provided by the seller.
For over a month, PayPal did absolutely nothing except change dates and pretend they were “updating” the case. When I finally called, the excuses were unbelievable: first the agent blamed the bank, claiming the funds were blocked (false — the money had already been debited from my account), then claimed the seller didn’t issue a refund (also false), then said I didn’t provide a case ID (I did), and finally told me the seller supposedly provided a “fake case ID.” One agent, four different stories — all to justify putting a hold on the funds.
When I asked for a supervisor, I was told supervisors don’t take calls and that I’d have to wait 24–48 hours for some mystery callback. After all the evidence, all the communication, and all the back and forth, PayPal still hasn’t returned a single cent and is now sending me back to the seller again.
This company is a complete joke. The incompetence, the lies, the runaround, and the total lack of accountability are shocking. For a global payment platform, PayPal operates like a chaotic, unprofessional mess.
