I appreciate the flexibility of the software to accommodate multiple categories across multiple bank accounts. I find the printout procedures rather cumbersome and I would like the ability to store backup data on my own computer (e.g. memory stick).

Other than the standard accounting things, they have various useful features for charities. Such as automatically calculating gift aid, and letting you download the comleted gift day form for HMRC.
Unfortunatly, there are various things which make it harder to use. So after you input an invoice+payment, you can't just change it. What you need to do is to delete the payment, then modify the invoice, then remake the payment. Or not being able to copy and paste directly from excel.

This is the best software out there for charities it is easy to use and you don't need a degree in accountancy to master it. It is backed by five star telephone support.

Highly recommend Paxton Software Ltd. This company has been extremely helpful to me in managing charity accounts, as a non accountant. The software is straightforward to use and the team are very helpful and supportive. We also use them to do our independent examination which is completed efficiently.

As a small church, Paxton Accounting software provides all the features I need to record income by source and fund; prepare reports; and quickly and easily search the data. I particularly like the straightforward system for producing the Gift Aid file for HMRC and the corresponding GASD totals for claims.

The software works very well to meet Accounting & reporting requirements for Church finances. Trustees with little Accounting background are able to quickly learn to use the software effectively.

Paxton Software is easy to input financial data, the reports clearly show information over any given period of time. Paxton enables the organisation to record finances against each grant or donation. Reports can be produced for each grant. A full set of accounts for audit can also be produced. We have been using this software for 8 years and have had no problems.

I guess the most important part is the availability of telephone support.

I can never remember from one quarter to the next how to complete the submission of the VAT. The support lady is always ready to help and criticises that I forgotten again.

We have been using Paxton for several years and the team have supported us all the way, at setup, when we upgraded, and whenever we need some help. We use Fund and Project codes and Donations. The Gift Aid report function is very useful.

Paxton software does just what it says.
I have no bookkeeping experience and look after the finances of my church. I have been using Paxton software for many years now.
The user support is excellent. I have never been made to feel foolish and have always received exactly the help I needed.
Detailed information can be obtained by downloading and manipulating information in Excel.
I particularly appreciate being able to generate Gift Aid schedules with a few mouse clicks.

Great Support staff, super responsive and user friendly.
Keyboard moves can be a little awkward to use (tabs don't work for moving across some fields so more mouse clicks involved) but apart from the interface, it performs exactly as it needs to with no downtime that I have noticed.

The accounting programme is very user friendly and is easy to pick up and run with.
The telephone support is excellent if you have any queries.
