Terrible customer service

We are very loyal customers of Paul and love the Marylebone branch. The king’s Road branch however has rude customer service, I was told “ if you listened” like I was a 5 year old, no froth on macchiato and when I complained she sullenly responded that she put milk in. Terrible!

Even no star.

Even no star.
They have a terrible customer service in the Kensington Area. I had one more similar bad experience in the same area last year.
We asked to clean a table as we would like to sit. After getting our order we asked to clean the table as it was still dirty and a member of the staff came with some tissues and asked me to clean their dirty table because she did not have time.I was speechless. Paul finished from my side.

Paul UK has gone downhill drastically

Paul UK has gone downhill drastically, very little choice in-store for cakes and online orders they've got rid of some of the best French cakes. Very disappointing as they used to be the go to place in London for French cakes and pastries. The cakes now are just like crap English cakes nothing exciting at all.

UNSKILL MANAGER & STAFF @ Tottenham Court Road London

The service provided by this establishment was utterly despicable, and the attitude of its manager and staff was completely disturbing. Not only did they fail to meet the ethical standards of the Code of trade business act, but they were also extremely rude and aggressive. The manager and staff member in question were unable to demonstrate proper and civilized manners when handling complaints, and the manager even attempted to cover up the attitudes of the staff. What was even more concerning was that the manager threatened to call the police when confronted with the issue. Such an attitude and lack of professionalism is simply unacceptable and needs to be addressed immediately: HR has serious questions to answer to qualify unskilled managers.
The so-called manager refused to provide me with the complaints procedure All companies are duty-bound to provide this is a clear Breach of the code of practice: I have now lodged a formal complaint to the trading standard and will inform not only the local authority but also the local MP.

Always rude staff at airports

Always rude staff at airports. Is there any special training in Paul bakeries to threat badly customers? We were waiting our sandwich and really surprised how badly staff in Orly airport spoke to all of us. The staff in Charles de Gaulle exactly equal few time ago.

The worst barista coffee I have ever experienced

Paid 3 pounds 70 pence for the worst coffee in my experience at Paul's near the Tower of London. It seemed to lack the actual ingredient I had actually paid for - coffee! A half full cup of frothy milk. The barista (if you could call him that ) was rude as well. The only expenditure regret of my entire trip to England and the Netherlands.

PAUL Coffee extortion

PAUL Coffee Hammersmith
BEWARE! If you want your small coffee order to be 'up sold' to £3.70, go here. If you do buy a 'small' coffee, they'll charge you £3.40 for a miniscule 50 cl. Latte. DAYLIGHT ROBBERS. Avoid like the plague.

Very odd shop-great bread-but getting it!

Ive been in quite a few times mid morning to this Bakers and each time they had they told me no bread
as in baguettes or much else.
No explanation offered.Advice?Come back some other time.
Not sold out just not made.
Finally I did suceed in scoring a loaf.
Next problem. No change or money in their till.
They dont seem to 'do'till floats.
Once I was paid out customers tip basket.
Quite a few nationalities on the staff here by looks of it even Indians Italians and unknown but BIG language problems.V embarrasing
Everything I said seemed 'wrong'quizzical frowns,no replies, dont open that bag by blowing!
Please dont stick your hand in and grope around inside to open it!
Can I have the one in the middle?
You cant bend it in half it has to be sawn?
Phew.
Great Bread but you have to jumpo all these hoops to score.
I put it down to cuisine temperament after all as Raymond Le Blanc says in his book a proper steam heated bread oven and the expertise to use it doesnt come cheap.
In fact its probably the only one in our County.
Finally we got there I got home and enjoyed a lovely soft
crusty baguette buttered with melted salted guerend French butter
Bliss!

We got a lemon tart from Paul Patesserie, Oxford Circus yesterday. It was discoloured, smelt weird and just because it was from a trusted brand - Paul's Patesserie, we ate it and got food poisoning. Disgusting food provided by this bakery- a complete ruin of a once popular and respected brand in London. Avoid like a plague!!!

AVERAGE AND OVERPRICED

Really dissappinted that Patisserie Paul have stopped accepting cash which is legal tender. They have lost my business as there are plenty of good patisseries in London that welcome my custom, no matter how I pay!

Sitting outside a Paul’s on a high…

Sitting outside a Paul’s on a high street with noisy cars passing by and a view of a newsagent, having paid an extortionate £8 for a coffee and pastry. I miss living in Italy, £3 for a better coffee and pastry, at an independent coffee shop on an ancient square surrounded by historical monuments. How did England get this so wrong? 😂

Franchisees not honouring lunchtime voucher app claiming they are not part of Paul UK???

I was in Oxford on Saturday 10 September and was trying to use the lunchtime deal £1 off voucher. I read the T&Cs carefully which said all day, 7 days a week and amongst the "available at selected stores" were both Paul Oxford and Paul Oxford Westgate. Unfortunately, at both places, the girls at the till told me that they could not honour the voucher as they were not part of Paul UK. Apparently they were franchisees that had split off from Paul UK. I did not understand the sense of this explanation but I knew better than to embarass myself arguing with them. Needless to say I walked away and did not purchase anything but it was a waste of my time that Paul UK sent me these vouchers into my app, encouraging me to visit a Paul UK store to use them but to then find out they are not intent on honouring it. They have now lost me as a customer. Paul UK is not exactly cheap but to have that kind of treatment on the few customers that can afford to visit their shop does not make business sense at all.

Not fresh Fraisier cake

I bought a Fraisier cake last week from Upper street branch. We loves this cake and buy regularly. Unfortunately it taste did not tasty last 3 times. It falls apart as soon as you start cutting the cake with a knife. You can't take the cake, strawberry and cream together and put it in your mouth and enjoy it. Because they are separated from each other immediately. The cream inside is very hard and of extremely poor quality. Because it`s not FRESH!!! Congratulations! for spoiling the quality and taste of a cake so well..
