One Star – They Steal Copyrighted Designs!
This website is a scam. PatternStory.com is illegally selling my original knitting pattern without my permission. They have stolen my design, my photos, and my instructions, removing my name and all copyright information.
They are violating international copyright law and damaging independent designers who rely on their work to make a living.
If you’re a designer, check if your work is being stolen too.
If you’re a customer, please avoid buying from this site – you might be supporting theft without realizing it.
I hope this review helps others avoid being tricked. Shame on you, PatternStory.com.
This is a scam website
This site is a complete scam! They steal patterns from various designers, remove any mention of the original creators, and resell them illegally at several times the original price - all under the guise of offering a “discount.”
On top of that, if you get stuck while working on a project, don’t expect any help. These people aren’t the actual authors of the content, so they have no idea how to guide you through the process, especially when it comes to crochet.
They also steal photos of real customers’ finished items from Etsy, post them on their own site, and create fake five-star reviews to make themselves look legit.
It is a fraudulent website selling stolen designs.
This site has used images of my design products and even photos of my daughter to sell crochet bag patterns that are my copyright, using my photos. They are making unjust profits. They are fraudsters. They have put a total of four crochet bag patterns that are my designs up for sale on this site. This is not legal. They are violating my copyright. This website is fake; it steals designs from real designers and sells them as their own. PLEASE do not shop on this site. Consider shopping on reputable sites such as Etsy so that real pattern designers can earn the income they deserve.
This website is dishonest!
This website is dishonest, stealing patterns from actual designers, and selling them as their own. PLEASE don't buy from them. Consider purchasing from reputable sites...like Ravelry...so that legitimate pattern designers receive their rightful earnings.
This website steals designs and sells them as their own
This website has taken my knitting patterns and photos and is selling them as their own, without permission or credit.
I am the original designer, and I even purchased the pattern myself to confirm – it is 100% my work, just with my name and copyright removed.
I tried to contact them, but they blocked me. Since then, I’ve heard from others in the knitting community that this is not the first time they’ve done this.
I don’t understand how they are still allowed to operate. Please help spread the word and support original designers – this is theft.
