Unfortunately, not as good a shave as Harry's
I signed up because I like the idea of supporting a conservative thinking company. However, I wont send my money to a company with an inferior product just because of their voting ideology. I had been a Harrys customer for years and was unsure which blade to try with Patriot. I went with the 4 blade thinking that it was a good starting point being in the middle of their blade offerings. The Harrys blades I had used were 5 blade. Your 4 blade doesnt shave as close, even when new. I am of Italian ancestry so my beard is a bit coarse. I generally shave downward first then upward, against the grain immediately after. The Patriot blade left stubble spots on my face. I'm not sure if it was visible but I could feel it when I rubbed my face after shaving. I took a 1 month old Harrys blade, shaved upward against the grain and it cleaned it up. I thought of trying the 5 blade Patriot so I am comparing apples to apples but the 4 blade catches even more hair and requires much more cleaning and tapping on the sink to clear it of hair than the Harrys 5 blade. Harrys will bog down but only if I wait too long between shaves. If I shave twice per week as usual, it cleans just with water. No tapping needed. And the Patriot 4 blade took ALOT of tapping and rinsing. So, there is my unbiased opinion of your blades. I am still stuck with two 4 blade razors but I guess that is the hazard of trying new products.
