Lovely food and friendly service except…

Lovely food and friendly service except for one girl who was clearly having a bad evening and made it feel awkward at the table. Up until she grated the Parmesan over our laps we didn’t mention the issue. But to stop her covering our friend in cheese she asked her to stop, this clearly set her off & it felt uncomfortable. Otherwise service and food was good, would go again providing this waitress is not on duty when we’re in there.

Scam

Absolut shit. Terrible Food, complete scam. Price says „10£“, we pay 16.95. Bill says „optional 12.5% service charge has been added“, after asking we can’t remove it even though it says OPTIONAL. Don’t eat here.

Double check your receipt.

Very expensive. Continuously pushing us to finish. They charged us two bottles of wine instead of the one we had, plus 'an optional 12.5% gratuity' (shouldn't I be asked first if it's optional?). My bad I didn't double check the receipt before leaving. Food was just ok. Of course, I won't get back.

Delicious

Fancied pasta for lunch and stumbled upon this family run restaurant. Was very busy whiich is always a good sign. I was alone and offered to sit outside, but the chap said no we've got a table for you just there. I ordered one of the specials ie Penne Au Gratin.....this bowl of pasta was the tastiest i've eaten in a restaurant....it was really delicious. Someone has stated it's expensive, but come on this is London. It was about £20 but worth every penny. I wasn't rushed, but the food came quickly....the service was very good. I will definitely be returning. The place was full which speaks volumes in itself.

Absolutely insane prices for rubbish food!

Absolutely insane prices for small servings of mediocre food! I am baffled at how this restaurant stays in business?! I’ve been working in Covent Garden for close to a decade and what was once a reasonably priced quality Italian restaurant has devolved its business model into fleecing the tourist trade. £24 for a small plate of spaghetti and oil is abysmal, I couldn’t believe the portion size and I should’ve declined paying the service charge as there was no service to speak of. Set out to have a pleasant afternoon lunch with my wife and daughter only to leave annoyed, frustrated and utterly disappointed. If you want quality food in Covent Garden at a reasonable price, forget Pasta Brown! The Tesco across the road will have comparative quality in food at a fraction of the cost and you can sit in the garden behind the church for free.

Exceptional quality & service from family run business

I visited Pasta Brown after a recommendation from a friend. There are three menu options;

Dine In, Take Away, Express Lunch

They offer salads and pizza too. The family originates from Naples and has been here 70 years. The service is still very personal, friendly and attentive.

Thrilled at the idea of old fashioned family restaurants (dicipated by large food chains resembling cattle farms) I asked the chefs in the open kitchen for a recommendation based on a love of spicy and strong flavors. I was given the Penne Spinachi. I am a foodie and eat out several times a week, this is officially the best pasta I have eaten in London. The quantities are massive and ingredients are completely fresh when you make your selection.

There is the option to have wholewheat and gluten free pasta upon request.

Whilst we waited (all of about 10 minutes) we where given a plate of gourmet garlic bread with mozarella & tomato with fresh olives at a table.

Highly recommended to everyone, I will be a regular customer from now on!

Thanks to the team working there!
