Package arrived damaged and Difficult return process

I ordered a shirt that arrived vis USPS in a ripped open package. The clear bag containing the shirt was also ripped but the shirt appeared ok. However, I still decided to return it. I had unknowingly, because it self populates, purchased the shipping insurance (SavedBy Claims) so they sent me through that channel to deal with it. After several emails and exchanging of pictures, SavedBy Claims said it was not their isssue to resolve since the shirt seemed ok. So I requested a return thru PP, and PP sent me a USPS label. Then the USPS tracking showed "undeliverable becuase business was closed." Two days later it tracking said, "delivered to garage or alternate location." Strange. I have reached out to PP customer service with no answer so far. I really hope I get my refund. Maybe it's mostly a USPS issue but I won't order from here again.

Yogi Shearling

I made an order of the shearling Yogi Bear jacket and Defend the Bears Nalgene bottle on December 12, 2025, the order showed confirmed and shipped on the same day. It arrived today, December 16, 2025, the jacket is super cozy and soft, fits great and is a quality item! I am already using my Defend the Bears water bottle. This was a gift from me to me and I LOVE IT!

Does not ship your order, doesn't respond to contact

They used to be trustworthy a few years ago, but we've been waiting two weeks for an order to ship and in the meantime we've been completely unable to contact anybody from parks project. it's like they took our money and ran away with it. The products were solid but since I won't be promoting this brand any longer i'll be sanding their logos off of everything.

Their chatbot lies, they don't answer emails adn they don't answer the phones. All in All there's nothing they sell that's unique enough to put up with this poor service, so see you later parks project, I'll celebrate when you go bankrupt shortly.

Great quality shirts

Great quality shirts. I will say some shirts are different than others on sizing, and texture but the quality itself is great. Some mediums fit me perfectly while others I know right off the bat I'm only going to get one wear out of them before they shrink up on me. If in doubt size up with them, the shirts do run slightly shorter than some other brands but the quality of the over all clothing is great, and i love alot of the muted and pastel colors. I don't understand these 1 and 2 star reviews. Sounds like some people had issues with online orders, I have ordered many shirts and hoodies and have had no issues with deliveries. Many large clothing stores and online stores carry the brand, so any of these people saying it's a scam are maybe speaking out of frustration, but they are a legitimate and respectable company.
If your concerned about shipping or sizing maybe go to Tillys or any other store that carry the brand and try the clothes on and then you dont have to worry about shipping etc. Parks Project is my favorite shirt company and the money goes to a good cause. Don't let these negative reviews push you away, I'm a frequent customer and have 0 issues other than some mediums running slightly short (talking only like an inch).

I'm a little confused by all the…

I'm a little confused by all the ratings here. A buddy of mine was wearing a Park Projects fleece at a party, and it looked really nice. So nice that I decided to ask him about where he got it. I hadn't heard of Park Projects before.

I made a purchase the next evening and had a FedEx tracking number literally the same day. Granted, I'm on EST and they seem to be out in PST. Point is ... they seem incredibly prompt and literally shipped it the same day I bought it. It's going to take in total a week to get here from the moment I bought it, which ... yeah, wild. All this to say ... maybe they responded to negative feedback? Because my experience has been wildly different than the ones I read online. And I almost didn't buy because of the reviews I found here.

Misleading return policy - USPS says the label they provided will cost me an additional $76 to send to the address on their label.

The return fee is $9 which they are clear about, but when I went to USPS just now with the label Parks Project provided me, they said it only covered .75 oz which is the weight of the box, and it would cost me personally $76 to ship the massive box they sent back to the address on their label. Not sure what to do because I never would have ordered from them had I known how expensive a return would be. That's nearly the full cost of the item which is too small for me to wear.

Insanely low quality for the price

Insanely low quality for the price. Returned the fleece I bought because it was so incredibly disappointing, and ended up losing about $20 on their stupid return fees and the shipping I had to pay for the item originally too. Avoid their clothing

Cool Designs, Terrible Quality

Order was on time. Cool designs (Got the Big Sur and California Parks). But the t-shirt quality was extremely poor. These are not well made t-shirts. They're standard t-shirts with cool designs, the same quality a graphic design t-shirt shop would have. Nothing wrong with that. But for $40 a t-shirt, the quality AND design should be top notch. You can do much better for $40 per t-shirt.

Parks Project Problems

Ordered on 12/13/22 through Park Project's Instagram store and didn't expect to get my items before Christmas because it was late in the month. I followed up on 1/13/23 after hearing nothing about my order. They gave me a gift card code, so I ordered an additional shirt and paid $10 on top of the code. The shirt came a week from that day. It didn't feel very good quality for the price they were charging. I followed up via email again and got a response about my order. They said there was an Instagram bug that day and other orders got stuck as well. They said all they can do is now cancel the order. They gave me a $25 gift card to reorder. I would've needed a $100 gift card to get close to the amount needed to reorder with the now non-discounted items after the new year. All around terrible experience even when I wasn't worried about their speed within reason. If they had an error with the instagram orders that day, why didn't they cancel them all and/or contact the customers to resolve the problem?

National Parks Wonderland Puzzle was delivered on Dec 22nd.

We were skeptical at first because we had received an email saying our shipping would be delayed and then we saw all of the reviews on this website. We did receive our National Parks Wonderland Puzzle today, however, after placing our order on Dec. 9th. The puzzle looks beautiful, but it is a gift so we haven't opened it yet. I would take a picture but I don't see how to add that to this review. It looks just like the picture from which we ordered it on the Parks Project website.

I too am waiting for my order from…

I too am waiting for my order from Parks Project, having placed mine 12/6. I just wanted to write this in response to a few Karen reviews on here calling them shady. They are actually a legit company and do donate a ton of money and volunteer hours to the National Parks.

Yes it is inconvenient and sucks to have placed orders intended as Christmas gifts not arrive in time. But, there is still time to find gifts, or to print out a picture of the item and wrap it up, with an explanation to the receiver that is was delayed but on the way. Most of us would still be appreciative and understand.

However it’s always dicey ordering from these small companies just a few weeks before Christmas and hoping they arrive in time. ESP with knowing how shipping companies also have delays this time of year. I placed my orders with my fingers crossed it will make it. Out of three orders made the same week, only one will be sure to arrive on time.

They did send out emails to everyone and posted on their Instagram of the issues they unexpectedly faced. They are a small team of 26 people. They seem truly sorry and have owned up to this, stating they will learn from the hard lesson. This isn’t Amazon or Walmart. I am also having issues with these companies too tho.

In a time where a good amount of us have turned to online shopping, these kinds of delays are to be expected. It’s not fair to try to ruin a business or sway people away from shopping these legitimate smaller businesses, especially one who is doing so much good and giving back, and who only has 26 employees, over something like unexpected delays and processing issues.

Things happen and we all have to know that by now. If this company was a scam, REI, Active Threads, Urban Outfitters, etc etc wouldn’t be carrying their products. Even tho 2 of my orders intended as gifts won’t be making it, I still will be happy to spend my money with this business. I’ll happily support them due to their mission and the positive things they are doing.

Shady company - go elsewhere

My order confirmation and the Park’s website stated ship dates within 24-72 hrs. A day later, I receive an email notification stating that my order will most likely not make it before 12/24 due to “challenges with a recent fulfillment center transfer”. The order was placed 10 days prior with no messages of delivery cutoffs or delayed shipping statuses mentioned on their site. Completely shady on their part to send that email shortly after I order. Not to mention, operating under the guise of the National Parks System. I now question what actually goes back to NP’s after reading their Trust Pilot and IG reviews. I have now requested a refund, but don't expect them to respond. I’m currently filing a dispute with my credit card company. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

Do not order from Parks Project

Ordered a beanie for my daughter Christmas on November 23. Received an email saying it had been shipped with a tracking # on November 26. After it hadn't arrived in the first week of December, I checked tracking, which said it hadn't been generated. Did a little research and the tracking # they sent was too long and didn't exist with any company. Emailed support at PP with no answer (and no phone of course). Sent a second email a few days later and received one back saying they were looking in to it. After not hearing, I sent a third email requesting immediate shipping with REAL tracking # and I just received a poor us email saying that my order has "MOST LIKELY" shipped and that they were experiencing "glitches" in their system. Sending emails with fake tracking #s are not glitches. Emailing promotions of your products daily with promises to arrive before Christmas when you know full well they won't is shady. Operating under the guise of the National Parks System is unethical. I have now requested a refund, but don't expect I'll get it. This company appears to be a scam. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

PARKS PROJECT SUDDENLY HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

I am giving 2 stars relative to four transactions I’ve had with this company. The first was ordering a pair of sweatpants over a year ago, where my usual size (M) was entirely too small. I reached out, and had no problems exchanging them for XL (!!) which fit perfectly. My next transaction, and transaction #4 were flawless, with the items being of good quality (if expensive). However, my third transaction supersedes the others: in November 2022 I ordered another pair of sweatpants since I loved the others so much and they had gone on sale. Checking against their size chart (which showed size XL to coincide with my usual size M measurements) I ordered XL. Shipping was slow, but they finally arrived the first week of December, 2022... only this time they are entirely too big for me. I’ve been reaching out to the company: two times last week, three so far this week, both via email and various and sundry “contact us” venues they have on their website (which is a little confusing; which one will work?). In all cases I’ve received auto-emails confirming my reaching out, but absolutely nothing else even though said email (and the places to reach out) said they would get to me within 2-3 business days. After reading reviews here, I am starting to doubt whether or not I’ll be able to exchange the item or not. Thus although the quality of the items I’ve gotten is really good, my rating is for the absolutely horrible customer service they suddenly have. I’m going to keep trying to contact them, however.

UPDATE, 12/28/22: OK, LOL, about two or so days after I had sent in this review, I received a more personal email from Parks Project. I was able to resolve the issues I was having trying to make a return online via my order on their website. I did send back the “XL” (measurements given in their size chart being those corresponding to size “M”) and took a gamble on size M. My exchange arrived yesterday, not bad considering the time of year and Winter Storm Elliott which was wreaking havoc across the USA. The mediums fit PERFECTLY. (Just like my prior pair in size XL, in fact!). I am updating the stars from 2 to 4, as my issue WAS resolved (albeit somewhat tardily) and the merchandise is, as always, superb. I am withholding the 5th star due to their somewhat misleading/screwy size chart. Please: if anyone at Parks Project is reading this ADDRESS THAT ISSUE so the chart reflects true sizing (or at least true ADULT sizing; I’m wondering if the size mixup I encountered with my first pair was due to them being youth sized instead of adult? It wasn’t mentioned anywhere!). The 5th star is also being withheld as it did take longer than stated on their website for them to reach out to me and help resolve this issue. BUT be that as it may, I will still purchase from them. (I gifted my daughters some of their fuzzy socks for Christmas, which were an immediate hit!)

A scam company

They take your money and they don’t answer their customer support emails, there’s no phone number and they don’t send you your items you ordered.

Fully fraudulent as I saw some comments on Instagram with the same experience.

Save your money. Don’t order from them.

THIS WEBSITE IS A SCAM DO NOT ORDER!

THIS WEBSITE IS A SCAM DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. First off their prices are outrageous, their website glitched first time was when I was trying to get my 10% off coupon that took numerous times and then at the check out it put through my order without me confirming at the bottom. I refreshed the page to see the prices in CAN DOLLARS but instead I got a confirmation for my purchase. I emailed them about the issue and was told it would take 2-3 business days. it's been 5 they're ignoring not only my emails but emails from my bank to get my money back as well $270 for a cheap polaroid with stickers and a pair of socks... Really? And the fact that you uphold yourself as a website for charitable donations to help the parks is disgusting. How much of this money is really going back to the parks??? SCAM

My daughter gave me a beautiful tee shirt for Christmas from Parks Project. I went online to the site and bought another tee and a coffee pot and cups for camping. The quality of products is excellent. Prices benefit national parks and I am happy to pay more for the joy the parks have brought all my life and continue to bring through camping. The American Prairie Bison tee is very soft and high quality. They sent a complimentary envelope with 2 compostable trash bags and a pair of very nice gloves to do volunteer clean up at the next park I visit. I am a patron now!! Thanks, Park Project.
