The park itself was wonderful and worth…

The park itself was wonderful and worth the trip but it was horribly crowded, you could barely see the animals because they were scared and hiding. I don’t recommend to visit during the weekends. I am very disappointed because I expected pairi daiza to actually take care of their animals by not having so many visitors at the same time

Leaders of animal welfare

Pairi Daiza is, without a doubt, the best zoo in the world and an extraordinary leader in animal welfare. What makes your park so unique is not only the breathtaking experience you offer to visitors but also your deep commitment to the well-being of animals, both inside and outside the park.

The projects led by the Pairi Daiza Foundation, spanning across the globe, showcase your profound dedication to conservation and animal welfare. Your work goes far beyond caring for the animals within the park; you actively contribute to protecting and restoring endangered species in their natural habitats.

One particularly emotional and remarkable achievement is your role in bringing the Spix’s macaw back from extinction. Seeing this species return to the wild is nothing short of a conservation miracle and highlights how innovative you are in protecting wildlife.

Your holistic approach, encompassing conservation projects, habitat restoration, and breeding programs, demonstrates that you truly understand what modern animal welfare and conservation should look like. It is rare to see an organization combine such dedication, scientific knowledge, and passion into everything you do.

You set the standard for what a zoo can achieve and deserve immense praise and gratitude for your tireless efforts, day in and day out, to protect animals and secure their futures. Thank you, Pairi Daiza, for being a shining example of what is possible when conservation and passion come together.

Quality is going down in short period, customer service very incomprehensible

we have been staying overnight with the family several times a year, but this last time was unseen. where we normally have nothing to complain about the room, the park and the food, it was now disappointing and the reaction of the customer service to these inconveniences even worse. in the room the door between the room and the bathroom had disappeared, so there was no privacy here. the relaxing bath did not work properly and light fixtures fell out of the wall. the buffets were not replenished enough or at all, so we were left feeling hungry. due to a planned operation we had to walk through the park with a wheelchair. what an impossible task in many places. roads that end with a staircase or are simply not accessible. on the last day we wanted to eat something an hour and a half before closing before traveling home. this was no longer possible. the customer service takes no responsibility and answers with a cheap "umbrella" answer. we are looking for an alternative for our annual weekend away...

The zoo is a beautiful blend of lush…

The zoo is a beautiful blend of lush gardens and carefully curated animal habitats that create an immersive experience. The attention to detail in each exhibit is impressive, and I could spend hours simply observing the animals in their surroundings.

One of my favorite spots was the tropical rainforest section, where exotic birds flitted above us, and the sound of rushing water from the waterfall added to the ambiance. The guided tour was a fantastic addition, as the guide shared intriguing stories about the animals, their conservation efforts, and the importance of biodiversity.

I also appreciated the zoo's commitment to sustainability. It was heartening to see eco-friendly practices implemented throughout, from recycling stations to solar-powered facilities. I left feeling inspired and eager to support their mission!

Fantastic park, very disappointing accommodation service

Fantastic park. Great zoo; exceptional animal enclosures; amazing architecture throughout.
Problems: poor customer service. Accommodation is extremely expensive - nearly €900 per night for a family of 3! Food is not great. It is Ok but not the experience the price leads you to expect. Cold buffet food with unappetizing skin from sitting too long; mushy shrimp that had gone bad. Breakfast is excellent but ends at 9:30 am. We had no working heat or hot water. Our sauna didn’t get hot. Someone came to fix it which made getting to breakfast in time very stressful. The morning was not at all relaxing as we had hoped. The fix allowed for one warm bath and the other two people had no ability to bathe. The lighting did not work in one of our toilets so it was unusable unless you kept the door open. They asked us if we wanted someone to come fix it again but we wanted to enjoy the park and not sit inside in our bathrobes waiting for the fix which seems to require a 45 minute wait to get night hot water for one shower. So we gave up. We were compensated with 3 free coffees in a paper cup. Getting our bags picked up seemed to be a major problem for them too and required multiple phone calls. Upon check in we were directed to the wrong accommodation which was about a 15 minute walk from where we needed to be. The quality of the accommodation is very high in terms of construction / architecture but for €900 a night I expect to be able to bathe, have the sauna I paid for inside our unit working, have working heat (the fireplace kept us warm. and have a very high quality meal. Our unit sleeps 6 people and we only got 2 coffee cups - a minor but irritating thing. I stay in a lot of 4 and 5 start properties. It’s all about the service! I would go back to the park but the accommodation experience almost ruined my milestone birthday. It was a very stressful morning. Appropriate compensation would have been 3 tickets to return for a day visit as opposed to 3 coffees in a paper cup outside in the rain when free coffee is available a few steps from the checkout desk. It was an insult and when we tried to use them required a 5 minute phone call by the cashier for verification. SKIP the stay; enjoy a day at the park.

WARNING

WARNING: a french speaking one, so that means most of the time, no service and service is the key to success. They don't care about you, just about their own rules.

Yes it is one of the most beautiful zoo's we know, but the attitude of the workers is really bad.

Shameful customer service when booking a lodge

The way the manager of the customer service (Pauline BOISDENGHIEN) is treating people who have booked an extremely expensive stay is unbelievable!

Because of serious medical reasons, I had to cancel our New year family trip.

Pairi Daiza kept the whole money we had paid including extras like flowers in the room, the little train for us 4 and the tourism tax (illegal since we never stayed overnight).

As discussed with her in January, she said she would speak to the director general for us to be able to report the stay.

She made me wait more than 2 months (until March 2023), and she finally called me to inform me that they could make a commercial gesture because they both had pity for me!!!

Guess what? They offer as little as 10% off (out of the 1550€ that we lost) if we book another stay in 2023! But who would pay again when losing so much money in 2022?

This is how they made 3.7 millions of benefits last year, by stealing people!

Shame on you! I hope you treat the animals better at least (which is actually not what I have heard and read so far)!
