It works great. Holds the shell in perfect spot. Locks it in and holds it. That doesn't mean opening an oyster is easy. It is still a ton of work but it is now safe from stabbing your hand. Love how it works but I still want someone else to do the job.

It made shucking so easy!.. This girl with long nails managed to bang open a dozen oysters so fast my husband could not believe it. It's simple, practical and so easy to use. Great tool with opening oysters. Takes my husband minutes with opening an oyster. We purchased another for our cape cod property. We have mentioned the oyster clamp to our friends and provided them with your website.

I felt confident that the oyster would remain firmly in place as I pressed and twisted the oyster knife. However, I soon realized that I frequently needed to remove the oyster somewhat to slip the knife in far enough to cut the adductor. It didn't take long to make the move routine.

Haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, but it seems very well made and safer than a towel and gloves! We will be shucking oysters soon as we have friends coming to visit that love them as much as we do!

Easy to use - well built.

Was disappointed to find out that it was made in China after reading all about this chef and his design of this product. Probably would not have bought if I knew this in advance.

So far , it appears to be well made , which is why I chose it over imitations which are available from Amazon.
Considering that I'm a newcomer to shucking, as I've only done it occasionally for a couple of years, this tool greatly boosted my confidence. The last place I want a cut or injury is on my hands because I'm always washing them and cuts tend to heal more slowly when they're exposed to water and constantly moving.
I've never had regrets about buying a quality tool , which is what Oyster Clamp is.
