For over 30 years Out of the Ark Music has been writing and releasing songs, nativities and musicals for primary school children. In 2021 we were proud to launch our subscription platform Sparkyard.
Good songs leave a lasting impression and contain huge potential to make a difference to our lives. The importance of music and the arts cannot be emphasised enough and, though often overlooked, they are a vital part of our children's education.
What began with only a tiny desk under the stairs, has grown over 30 years to become a thriving business, which now supplies over 18,000 primary schools and prep schools (not to mention nurseries, churches, theatre groups, etc!) across the UK and countless others around the world. With publishing offices and a warehouse in Middlesex, a recording studio in Sussex, 'Out Of The Ark' is reaching out to the corners of the earth with good, positive songs, that everyone will enjoy.
After 30 years and over 1,000 songs in the Out of the Ark Music catalogue, Mark and Helen are still enthusiastic about writing and are keen to develop the potential that music has in the context of education and beyond. They receive hundreds of wonderful emails and phone calls each year from those who have caught the vision and share the enthusiasm.

Great songs. Prompt service.
The products are always top quality and service is very prompt. The children I work with absolutely love 'Out of the Ark'. I find the words on screen invaluable in teaching new songs, especially songs in parts as it's possible to isolate the harmonies to teach them.

Anglo Saxons assembly
It was a quick service and a good bank of resources. However, I bought the download version and the downloaded mp3 music is very distorted. At first I thought it my equipment but everything else plays perfectly well.

Good songs
Good songs, the streaming site is a bit iffy as can't use on phone very easily. Absolutely fine if on a laptop in a classroom but I use it in my classes outside of a classroom, so a bit tricky.

Shakespeare bringeth much jollity to Year 4.
My Year 4 class have loved learning the songs and lines for their performance (Assembly about William Shakespeare). They are buzzing and full of interest and enthusiasm. I liked the fact that there is scope for some ad libbing and extra lines. This has been my first ever class assembly and I would definitely use Out of the Ark Music again.

A Hint of Snow White.
We love how easy it is to access the songs and the script with Singchronize. The songs are catchy and have optional harmonies and complexity that make them interesting and fun for the children. This is our third Out of the Ark musical and each has been a real joy to teach - I am looking forward to seeing how this one goes!
