I've been working for Outlier for two months now, and honestly, I've had a great experience so far. I won't lie, the pay rate is really good, so I definitely feel like it's worth my time. Because of that, I've always wanted to do my best and contribute as much as I can. I'm genuinely grateful that I had the opportunity to work here.

I hope I can stay for a long time and that there will be more projects to come. I also found fellow workers from my country here, and we even have our own group chat where we can share experiences, information, and support each other.

That being said, I also hope Outlier can continue to improve, especially when it comes to the review process and quality management. I hope reviewers can be treated with more fairness and consideration. I understand that some people may try to cheat the system, but there will always be workers like me who genuinely try to do their best and follow the guidelines.

I'm not saying I'm perfect. I still have a lot to learn, but I'm always willing to learn, improve, and do better.

Remotask platform. Project leadership needs significant improvement. The leaders are not very responsive, making communication difficult and delaying progress.
There is a strong need for improvement in project leadership. The project leaders are rarely responsive to questions and concerns, which leads to communication bottlenecks and confusion. To make this a better experience, leadership needs to improve their response times and proactively support the team.

I was in search for side income, and what capture my attention is being a data annotator. Through public research and recommendation, I found Outlier and joined this mid year. The onboarding is simple and easy by following their instructions and guidelines.

To be honest, it was difficult for me at first on one of their project, but along the way, their actively updates on guidelines and community helped build confidence on completing their task.

Speaking of the earnings, I am satisfied with the fixed rate for my contribution and their weekly payment is accurate, as well as exact in timing.

To conclude, I would definitely recommend Outlier to whomever new to AI annotation and seeking for higher earnings on side hustle.

The availability of OH for remote workers makes the workflow more secure, regular webinars make information more up to date. The community is quite helpful if there are technical problems.

My timer was frozen for 10 days for no reason. It took about 15 emails for the issue to be resolved.

I was removed from a project; even so, I had a 3.73 Feedback. This feedback does not appear on my Outlier feedback, where 273 tasks are recorded, only in Aether

I am complaining because I really take my work with Outlier very seriously, and I sincerely hope things could be smoother for me.

I've been working as an AI trainer and evaluator on Outlier, on Portuguese-language projects. What works well: the platform pays on schedule, the task instructions and rubrics are detailed enough that you know what's expected, and there's real flexibility — I fit it around a full-time job without conflict. Onboarding and qualifications are clear about what each project requires before you start.

Honest caveat for anyone considering it: pay varies a lot by project and language, and task availability isn't constant. Some weeks there's plenty of work, some weeks very little. Treat it as supplementary income rather than a salary replacement.

If you're detail-oriented and comfortable following written guidelines closely, it's solid work. If you need predictable hours and volume, it may frustrate you.
