One star, because I couldn't leave zero. We initially placed the item in the shopping cart, and then immediately got emails like "hurry up, only 8 left in stock". We purchased online a very nice coffee table for $3500.00. At the time of the purchase, shipping was $325 and then white glove delivery was offered for an additional $175. We declined white glove delivery which was described as bringing the item inside the house because it was heavy. The website clearly stated that white glove delivery was optional, and it stated moving men would carry the item in your house because it was heavy. The order went through, card was charged 3800.00 on August 26, 2025. Five days later we get an email saying that now they want another $175 for white glove delivery. I denied that add on service, stating item is going in the garage and a moving company will later take it to my new house which is being built. Had to argue back and forth about the white glove delivery as it was NOT required at the time of purchase. If it was, that would have been part of the initial charge and order on my credit card. Told Karen to refund my card as the phone call was argumentative as the add on service was not required to place the order when they immediately charge my credit card. Magically upon hearing that I wanted a refund, white glove delivery was not required, as long as I agreed to take the table from the truck curbside, which I agreed to. I never wanted delivery men coming inside my house anyway because the item wasn't going inside. September 22, 2025, approximately 27 days later, no table, no emails, no tracking number nothing. My wife called there today, got hung up on twice. I had to call back from a different phone, and Karen answered and told me that they were on the road and the phone must have disconnected, yet it didnt disconnect during her phone call with me. I asked about the order and she had no information, only stating she would get back to me by the end of the day. I called my credit card company and reported the fraud. While speaking to the fraud department, I came across recent reviews about this company and Karen. Not surprising. I wouldn't recommend this company at all.
Warning shady Sarreid & Our Boat House
Cancelled delivery of trunk bc:
1. first invoice I received literally said “with white glove delivery” along with a picture of the trunk, a breakdown of the price (after a dis unit code had been applied), and description of the BERENGER trunk I ordered
2. AFTER item had been purchased they sent a second “invoice” email saying it was now standard delivery but I thought that was in error bc no info of the transaction (pictures, no description of item, etc included)
3. They mis-delivered the trunk, which they did not bother to tell me. I only discovered this after I called them after 3 weeks asking where the trunk was and was then told about their error. No apologies given.
4. A month later, trunk was delivered. I declined delivery for 3 reasons: no white glove delivery and instead trunk was plunked in middle of my driveway and the delivery guy didn’t even come to my front door to tell me he was as here; trunk came in a damaged CARDBOARD box with obvious holes in it so I assume it was damaged goods (it was); the name of the trunk on the side was SARREID, not BERENGER
5. Called Our Boat House, left a msg explaining what happened
6. Karen Marcel the owner called me back to tell me I was obligated to accept purchase of the trunk despite everything above. She was SUPER RUDE. Spoke over me- wouldn’t let me talk. I specifically told her I DO NOT WANT THE TRUNK ANYMORE
7. Called credit card company to dispute charges. They agreed we did not legally have to accept the trunk
8. Despite making it clear we no longer wanted the trunk, refused delivery of the trunk and cancelled payment of trunk, Karen had the trunk REDELIVERED by Estes the following day!
9. Estes trunk guy put the heavy trunk by our front door then left even though he saw us bike up to the house and ai tried to flag him down
10. We opened up the damaged. cardboard box and the trunk is literally completely smashed on one end, so much so that it isn’t even attached to the base. It is in 2 pieces.
11. Called Karen back again and she said we were now on receipt of the trunk, who indy have contested the charge with our credit card company and there was “no proof” we declined delivery bc we didn’t “sign anything”. Yes there is proof Karen- on my security camera footage.

FORCED TO DISPUTE A CHARGE
Ordered two table lamps on August 10 for $829. Received an email that the lamps I ordered have been discontinued by the manufacturer. I requested a credit for my purchase and five days later I have heard nothing from them so I had to dispute the charge. Very poor customer service and would not recommend them. Sad their website is offering a product that has been discontinued and even more disappointing that no one reached out.

I asked about return and no one replied, 2nd try finally got a response and they charge 25% restocking fee!!! that's absurd, I will keep the rug and never purchase here again!! when buying for home sometimes you want to try something first to make sure it will work and or match decor, colors are not exact online. Everywhere else is so friendly and want you to be happy and graciously accept returns. sometimes even free return label, Buyer Beware.

This order was to re-place a copy that I use to have. I have been into this style for at least 30 years.I also went to Harbour Island in 1975 . The cover is almost identical to a wicker sofa I use to have. I still use wicker and white slipcovered furniture. I love other styles but this has been my favorite overall. I love the mix of styles that work with this, such as pine, English and Asian. The book arrived in perfect condition so I am very happy with my order. Thank you! D. Summers
