Oticon warranty isn't

I purchased a pair of Real 1 miniLite R on June 8, 2023.
In Aug or Sept, I began to have a problem with the right aid in that it would intermittently turn on and off.
I went back to the audiologist I purchased from who could not duplicate the problem.
I went again and the problem was acknowledged and I was told that the aid would be replaced. It was not. There was not one available.
I went again in Dec. or so and was told it would be repaired but no loaner was available. It was not repaired.
Returning to do business with that company is not going to happen. I will not be lied to.

On Mar. 11, 2024 I went to a different audiologist who repaired the mal-functioning aid at a cost of $100.00 which I paid.
This was paid when the repair should have been a warranty issue.

On Sept 4, 2024 the right aid quit functioning again.

I have spoken to 3 Oticon customer service (?) reps and each told me that any warranty repair/replacement would only be at the place of original purchase.
If I were to go to another audiologist, the repair/replacement would be at my expense.
How is that a warranty?
If you purchase a car in Ohio and move to Georgia and need a warranty repair, would you expect the car manufacturer to tell you to go back to Ohio where you bought it to get it fixed?
Oticon's warranty policy does not cover the product.
If you seek a good hearing aid, Oticon has some.
If you seek a company that stands behind their product-Oticon does not.

Within six months of purchasing my…

Within six months of purchasing my Oticon hearing aids, one of the batteries would not charge. Numerous calls and emails go unanswered after waiting a month for a warranty replacement battery. Very disappointed, would not recommend because of the poor support.

Another pharma racket

Garbage, simply a scam. They are great until you purchase them then the "support" literally evaporates and they act like you are just an inconvenience. Even trying to get a hold of any support everything is confidential and they won't allow you to speak to the people that can actually help. Any other brand I've had people are readily available or can at least point you to a helpful human.

Oticon OPN 1 have been excellent hearing aids

I purchased a set of Oticon OPN 1 in April 2017 from an online retailer. I was told to expect the hearing aids to last 5 years. It has now been over 6 years and the hearing aid are still working perfectly. I love the Bluetooth connectivity with my phone. It is much easier to have conversations on phone via hearing aids. I would highly recommend these hearing aids.

The only reason I didn't give these hearing aids 5 stars is because they don't do well with moisture - possibly that is the cause with all hearing aids. I can't wear them when exercising because sweating causes them to stop working. Otherwise, they have been perfect.
