Today I went to Osbourne Spice with High hopes
Today I went to Osbourne Spice with a good friend, it was our Christmas get together lunch. Was so looking forward to it ! What a huge let down, we were shown to the table, given a drinks menu, ordered our Diet Coke and fizzy water. No one said the buffet is here or there or anything. OMG , this place has a 5 star rating ! I’ve no idea what was in the samosas..... it could have been saw dust as it was so dry, the Bhajis were equally as dry, they’d probably been sat there in the buffet try since opening. The chicken tikka took some swallowing too.... way over cooked... horrible ! The meat in one curry was so dry I couldn’t tell what it was, the chicken one was also dry but could tell what it was. The lamb was edible but tasted no different from the other dishes. I felt totally conned by the reviews they have on their website..... maybe they paid folk to write them ? The drinks were a huge con, £3.50 and £3.25 for a glass of fizzy water ( from a large plastic bottle) and an almost flat Diet Coke. Overall I wouldn’t score this place anything at all. It was vile to say the least, and the cock up with the bill at the end was the last nail in their coffin for me. NEVER AGAIN.
