Looks like a local shop, but it ships from China without saying so
I ordered on ortorex.cz thinking it was a regular local store: a Czech-language site, .cz domain, products marketed as orthopaedic, discounts and free shipping. At checkout it was not clearly stated that the parcel would come from China.
After paying, I received tracking from a Chinese carrier. For several days the status barely moved, and the parcel still did not show as handed over to a courier. I could not find a clear notice on the site that the goods come from outside the EU.
This is not just a delay. Ortorex.cz is part of a network of similarly branded shops in different countries: it looks like a European health store, but it is Chinese dropshipping sold at a marked-up price, with unconvincing on-site reviews and an opaque operator — not a clearly identifiable Czech company. Returns, from what others report, are often sent abroad in a way that discourages refunds.
If you want a real orthopaedic product in the EU, skip this shop. If you are fine with a cheap item from China, buy it somewhere that states the origin and the real price. I would not order here again.
