I’ve been using Original Caveman charcoal for a while now, and I can honestly say it’s some of the best I’ve come across. The quality is consistently excellent — it lights easily, burns hot, and lasts far longer than many other brands I’ve tried. Whether I’m doing a quick grill or a longer cook, it performs reliably every time, which makes a huge difference.

What really stands out is the value for money. You’re getting premium-quality charcoal at a very reasonable price, which isn’t always easy to find in this space.

It’s also great to see them expanding into kamados. From what I’ve seen so far, their models look incredibly well-designed and promising — definitely something I’m keeping an eye on for a future purchase.

All in all, Original Caveman have really impressed me. High-quality products, fair pricing, and an exciting range that’s continuing to grow. Highly recommended.

Couldn't have been more helpful when ordering a stainless steel rotisserie basket.

Even went to the trouble of getting one from stock to measure it and ensure it fitted my Kamado.

OC charcoal is great quality use it all the time.

Ordered some spare spare new gasket, pizza stone and new deflector plates. All fit perfectly and just as good as kamado Joe parts only cheaper. My only problem was the deflector plates were so cheap I thought they came as a single, I now have spare deflector plates not a bad thing. Pizza stone is thicker than the original one I had. Really happy and so is my wallet.

Used their charcoal for the first time. Large chunks on the whole… cooked overnight on low heat and still glowing in the morning.

Amazing Charcoal, the only brand I used on my Kamadoe

Bought the barbarian and haven't regretted it. The build quality is second to none. The customer service was exceptional from start to finish and they were on hand to answer any questions I had. Replacement parts are all available at a very reasonable cost unlike the other big name brands. The charcoal is also some of the best available. Lastly there is a strong community who are always happy to answer questions and share hints tips and recipe.

From their charcoal to kamados all are brilliant products - including the bottle opener!

And their customer service is five star too.

I’ve ordered charcoal from these guys previously… I must say it’s bloody good stuff! It burns well and provides fantastic heat output without much smoke and it also doesn’t have that chemical taste that some brands transfer to the food when used. I’d definitely recommend it as being a top contender for a go to charcoal for any cook type whether it be a long cook for that brisket and ribs or a quick smash burger!

I've ordered 4 bags in total (2 orders for 2 bags each) of lumpwood charcoal from OC and cannot fault it. Large lumps (some very large!) with a good distribution of smaller bits too- consistent with each bag. Excellent fuel source for long cooks. Ordering was easy and delivery was super quick. I highly recommend and I will.be back for more!
