OrangeX STOLE 85% of my principal deposit! (Ticket #32583)

I am writing this to warn all traders. OrangeX is not returning user funds. I deposited 1000 USDT and had ZERO profit. They froze my account without any valid reason and forced me to sign a 'Refund Agreement'.

After waiting for days, they only returned 152.35 USDT and effectively STOLE the remaining 847.65 USDT. When I asked for an explanation, they claimed the 85% difference was for 'fees'. This is a blatant financial fraud. It is mathematically impossible to have 85% fees on a principal deposit with no trading profit.

They have now closed my ticket (#32583) and refused to provide any further breakdown. This exchange is embezzling user assets under the guise of 'risk policy'. STAY AWAY if you want your money to be safe.

Evidence: Ticket #32583 / Principal: 1000 USDT / Refund: 152.35 USDT.

Ignoring and freezing the account

Good afternoon, I was doing inter-exchange arbitrage on the OrangeX exchange and applied as an affiliate! All my messages are being ignored! I've written to their support and affiliate emails, their Telegram manager, and live chat support! (It's a shame I can't attach screenshots). All emails and messages have been ignored for 25 days now))) and as you can imagine, they'll never respond to them, nor will they refund my money!

They simply deleted my account, and I can't access it at all. The only solution was to appeal and wait for a response! This sounds ridiculous, because they don't even respond to regular questions within 25 days, so how long do I have to wait if they freeze my account?

My conclusion: Don't use this exchange if you don't want to lose your money and time! They prefer to ignore you and freeze accounts without cause. Take care of yourself.

Final Notice

Final Notice – Demand for Full Withdrawal of Funds (636 USDT) or Legal and Regulatory Action Will Follow

Dear OrangeX Support,

I am writing to formally notify you of a serious breach of your obligations regarding the handling of my account and funds.
My account held a total balance of 1169 USDT, yet only 533 USDT was released to me before you abruptly closed the account. The remaining 636 USDT is still owed and has not been returned to me.
This is a clear violation of your legal and financial duties as a service provider, and such action may constitute fraud and extortion under international and national laws.

Legal Basis
1. Breach of Contract and Fiduciary Duty
As a crypto exchange handling user funds, you are contractually and legally obligated to safeguard and return all user assets. Unjustifiably withholding funds violates fundamental principles of contract and financial law.
2. International Standards – OECD Principles on Financial Consumer Protection
You are in breach of established international financial standards which require transparency, fairness, and the protection of user funds. Illegally retaining client assets is in direct conflict with these principles.
3. Potential Criminal Liability – Fraud and Extortion
Your refusal to return the remaining funds may be interpreted as fraud (deliberate misappropriation of user assets) and extortion (withholding funds to exert pressure or gain unjust advantage). These are criminal offenses in most jurisdictions and may expose you to criminal investigations.
4. Regulatory Consequences – Platform Suspension or Shutdown
I reserve the right to file complaints with financial regulators, cybercrime units, and consumer protection agencies in your operating jurisdictions. These authorities have the power to revoke licenses, block financial operations, and shut down non-compliant platforms engaging in illicit practices.

Final Demand
I demand that you immediately release the remaining 636 USDT to me or provide a full written explanation with verifiable documentation within 7 calendar days.
Failure to comply will result in:
* Legal action against OrangeX and its executives for fraud, breach of trust, and unlawful enrichment;
* Submission of formal complaints to international regulators and crypto watchdogs;
* Public disclosure of your actions and platform behavior to inform and warn other users globally.

This is your final opportunity to resolve this matter amicably. I am prepared to escalate this issue fully, through both legal and public channels, if my funds are not returned promptly.

Fraudsters and thieves

Fraudsters and thieves! Don't even think about ever adding your money here, they won't give it back to you! I traded and traded poorly, lost more than $600, but when I decided to withdraw $100, they blocked my account and said that I withdrew more than I deposited! But I only lost there! A complete scam! Don't even look in that direction. And I kept statistics of deposits and withdrawals!

SCAM EXCHANGE

SCAM EXCHANGE. STAY AWAY.

This exchange should not be listed on Coingecko, for shame. Many pairs have fake orderbooks which do not really execute your order.

I read the reviews here stating that people could not withdraw. I was lucky enough to be able to withdraw, but this exchange really is a scam.

THEY ARE SCAMMERS DANGEROUS SCAMMERS

I stumbled on a strange name in my WhatsApp and the number was an old mobile phone number of mine. I was surprised as it didn’t occur to me that it was my old number. So I said hello and that was how I fell into the net of this person. As soon as I realised that it was an old mobile number of mine I tried to cut the conversation by apologising and moving on. She apologised and said that her name was Alice and she was of Chinese and British parentage
She said that she needed to speak to me on video call so that she can put a face to the name. I was happy.
She said that she was in business and doing very well. I responded that I was in business but not doing well as I had a mountain of debts to clear. She immediately offered to help by introducing me to one of her successful ventures. She said that she had a restaurant in Fulham where she was born and grew up. She said that she was also setting up a second restaurant and sent me pictures of the progress of work on it. Then she said that she was also investing and making a lot of money from Crypto trading. As soon as she mentioned crypto trading as her other source of income I became alarmed. I told her that I was not interested as I had suffered losses with every crypto investment.
Then she started sending me images of successes on her platform. I asked her which platform it was. She said that it was orangex. I immediately went to Trust Pilot and to Google to find out more. I told her that it was not a reliable platform and I sent her the results from TrustPilot and Google. She said that she had been having a great relationship with them and that I shouldn’t bother as she had me covered. She said that they have nodes which come up once or twice a week for about 30 seconds and I had to make my investment within the 30 seconds and whatever the outcome will be shared amongst all the investors and the returns vary from 10% to about 50%. All of these interactions lasted over two months. I invited her to my church and she promised that she would eventually come. Anytime that I asked for a physical meeting in her restaurant she found a way to dodge the question.
She kept on encouraging me to take the opportunity to pay off my debts assuring me that within two to three months all my debts would be cleared
Then I decided to take the plunge. I started with a small amount. Then she asked me to put in more money. I told her that I didn’t have. Then one day she switched the conversation to cars and asked me the car that I was driving. I told her that I was driving a car on loan. She told me to sell the car and invest the money since I will recover the money within a short period of time. I told her that I couldn’t do that as the loan company had a lien on the car so it was not really mine and I couldn’t sell it without their permission.
But her request made me think this must be real and working for this ‘friend’ of mine to suggest that I should raise money for it by selling my car. I thought that no human being could be so wicked as to want to dupe knowing that I was already indebted. I forgot that the bible describes the heart of man as ‘desperately wicked’
I therefore decided to raise money to invest I started with £5000 which I borrowed and within few weeks my balance was over £10,000
Then I tried to withdraw and the website disappeared.
This was a danger signal as one of the reports on TrustPilot had indicated that it was their pattern. I was shocked and told my ‘friend’ She said that something must have gone wrong along the line. She then sent me a link and the site was alive again. I should at this point have counted my losses and left.
As I was contemplating my next line of action my ‘friend’ suggested that I could borrow money from the platform to invest. This was a surprise to me. While I was still wondering on the implications of this I got an email:
Dear Orangex users: The platform is now vigorously launching loan services and trust account evaluation, which are open to new and old users. According to the personal account credit score, the loan amount can be up to 200,000 USDT! If the first loan application is approved, there will be an interest-free discount. Welcome to consult the customer service hotline to review and evaluate the loan amount!
Upon receiving this I fell hook line and sinker into their trap.
My ‘friend’ kept urging me on. As soon as I applied they approved a loan of 10000USDT which cannot be taken out of the platform.
I took the loan and refunded it from node proceeds within 14 days. I was shocked when I was told that I could not withdraw unless I paid in 10000USDT
Unfortunately I did and as soon as I did the withdraw button disappeared. My friend disappeared
I cried non stop, I was dying by the day. I couldn't tell anyone. I must be the most stupid human on earth. They killed me.
Please be on the look out. Orangex? Run for your life. They are wicked and heartless scammers and murderers

SCAM! I can't belive that they are listed on coinmarketcap and coingecko!

They sent me a KYC request, giving me a 3 days deadline otherwise I won't be able to use their services anymore. I said fine, I'll withdraw my money then. Then the hell started. They are now keeping my funds hostage, demanding that I complete the KYC! I've seen this before with another Chinese exchange ncwallet.net where they not only steal the funds, but also the personal information! Same SCAMMERS, same idea? W.T.F.?
I sent my withdraw request with hours after they sent me the email and now I am forced to do the KYC?
SCAM!
