I would love to give Openpay a good review, it has potential. The only horrible thing, is the support.
The support team has to be the most useless thing in the entire world.
My account was locked due to supposed fraud, and I had no notice about it. Not even an email. I then contacted support on Monday, and received a reply on Wednesday asking for a picture of me and my drivers license. All good, done.
I was then told I have to pay off my remaining plans before I could use the service again. I had a $450 spending limit, and no late payments. I replied to their email telling me that the account was unlocked, and asked why I couldn't use the service. No reply.
Not to mention, no notice for ANYTHING. If Openpay is down, they won't tell you. The status page doesn't even get updated with an incident report. If your account is locked or limited, when trying to purchase something it would just show the error "We are having technical issues. Please try again in a few minutes".
Absolute horrid service at the moment, it's barely even being maintained! It's just easy profit for the founder.

I paid everything up to date after coming back from overseas and this week what I owed but that wasn’t good enough you had to take 6x payments of $9.50 out equaling $57 which is absolutely crap and screwed me over as that money was for another bill which now I got charged extra fees for dishounering😡.

Unfortunately when you leave payments unpaid for more than 3 days without notifying us you may be charged late fees. I can see you have had all the late fees refunded already.

Ability to amortize payments
Having had problems with cash flow in the past, it was great to be able to amortize the cost of my dental surgery across affordable payments out of my government benefits. Now it is all paid for!

Comfort at one’s doorstep
Openpay provided friendly reminders for payments. Also, when one of my payments was a little late Openpay did not charge me with a fee. Upon finalising my payment plan Openpay emailed to say “congratulations”.
