Glasses never arrived, no communication

Glasses never arrived, seller singulaly unhelpful, ignoring emails etc. Had to initiate a dispute through PayPal and got my £300 back after months of waiting. Do NOT trust this seller.

UPDATE: its a pity that the owner of the site puts less effort into replying to emails and refund requests then he does stroppy replies to honest reviews on here. The games up pal. We've all posted our experiences because your business is so poor. They're also know a as THOMASEYEWEAR.CO.UK, so beware.

Avoid using this company

Initially i was happy when I received the glasses. However I had an issue with them and have been trying to contact the company for a month now. I have been ringing them, all you can do is leave a message and sending a lot emails but nobody gets back to you. Please avoid this company, this is the worst customer service I have ever had

Excellent company..They re-glazed &…

Excellent company..They re-glazed & refurbished a favourite pair of glasses for me.. Ordering new lenses was easy, fill in the form, they send a postal bag, sent frames off, they were back within a couple of weeks.Their prices are fair. I would highly recommend this company, especially if you’re of older years🙂

Great glasses at a good price.

Wasn’t sure what to expect ordering glasses online but absolutely delighted with my glasses! Easy to enter prescription details and measurements given for frames helped make a good choice. I just wanted some bifocals for sewing and watching tv at same time and didn’t want to pay the prices my optician would charge.

I should have read the bad reviews BEFORE ordering!

I should have read the reviews of others before ordering from this website. 3 weeks after an order for simple varifocals, I have not received my glasses (which I desperately need) or any order updates. Requests for information have been ignored or met with defensive, stroppy responses. Awful after spending £400.

UPDATE: the tone of this company's correspondence is singularly bad. See the response below calling me 'disgusting' for leaving bad reviews fro bad companies like his. I had to press hard to get them to cancel my order after 3 weeks of sitting on their hands. They wanted to charge me 70% of the cost! Still no refund. Dispute opened.

Thank you for the review but to repeat as was explained to you in an email, you ordered on the 27th Dec 25, we were closed for xmas which was written throughout the website at the time & we returned to work on the 5th Jan 26 and the order was completed on the 10 Jan 26, 5 working days is as should be expected to deliver prescription glasses.

To respond to the review - this customer received his glasses on the 2nd December 2025 but ordered them incorrectly with too dark a tint.
He emailed us and we replied & addressed this in emails & he replied to us & returned them to us as advised.
They were being remade, however thats now been stopped as would be expected.
NB - This is his second order from us in less than 12 months but he didn't leave any reviews for that order.

A happy mother and a very happy customer!

My mother needed glasses and she thought she'd try some varifocals. The usual sites I buy glasses from don't offer them and found this site.

It's a lot more affordable than what your usual common glass shops sell. The blogs explaining varifocals were so useful to help decide for my mother what she needs.

The only gripe I've had is the delivery times. But, it's actually shorter than the glasses shop I used to use.

Will be buying from here again! Love how easy it was to customise the glasses and prescription makes sense on how to fill out.

My only bit of criticism:
The options for what lenses you want have a * on the field making it look like you're required to select specific options. You don't need to but at first I thought I had to pay ~£25 just for the lenses. Turns out I just didn't need to pick any option haha.

Another point would be that it'd be nice that they were packed with a microfibre cloth, could easily get a sublimed one of the company so it's easier for people to remember your site!

Lastly, having an "out of stock" filter on frames would be nice because it was frustrating seeing a nice frame only to see it's not in stock.

Either way she's VERY happy with the glasses and she isn't doubling up on reading glasses and wondering why she's getting so many migraines.

There isn't really 100% money-back guarantee.

They present everywhere - on google, on your website, on their own website in the headlines - that they give 100% money-back guarantee. When you read the small print (hidden until a checkbox a checkout and in detailed small print) the terms are so restrictive that it invalidates this promise. It is FALSE ADVERTISING in the extreme. Never buy glasses from this online service because if there is something wrong with them (which there was with mine) you have no recourse.

The refund is there as a reassurance for genuine customers should there be a genuine problem.
You are required to return them as received/unused & that's standard for any product and not hidden in any small print. We expect you to try them on and test them of course, but wearing them for weeks isnt acceptable.
Also, if there’s a problem, we expect you to advise us of this as to be fair would be typical immediately had there been a genuine problem.
It took you 2 weeks to contact us, stating the lenses worked at home, but you suddenly just realised they don’t work...whilst at the airport & so you will return them for a refund....once you get back from your holidays.....
The rimless bifocals you ordered have 0.00 power in the distance portion & so if you're unable to see any signs or distance vision, it's nothing to do with the glasses and the 0.00 prescription was confirmed by us upon viewing your prescription.
Therefore, but for the fact you had them for 4 weeks & wore them at home & on your holiday, we would’ve honoured a refund & that’s why we won’t accept the return & the refund was declined for the above reasons

Incredibly slow delivery

Incredibly slow delivery. Took over a month to arrive. Left messages and also e-mailed . No reply to either. Eventually treatened to pursue via credit card company. The glasses arrived a week later. Nice enough but I think I will use a company with better customer service next time.

This delivery timescale crossed over into xmas and we were closed for the xmas period, extending the delivery into the new year as was written throughout the website at the time

Very Poor

Bought frames in middle of September 2025. Returned shortly after delivery as they didn't suit me. My tracked return was delivered to them 2nd October 2025. After 1 initial reply asking me if I had tracking, and which address I sent to, they have neither refunded me, nor replied to any other contact from me. A very disheartening experience.
