Cute but won't keep younger kids occupied unsupervised for long
It's a cute well produced magazine, but for the younger kids (5 to 6 say) that it's targeting who aren't independent readers yet, most of the content requires a fair bit of help/reading/supervision for them to get value from it. A better fit for stay at home parents looking for regular supervised activities to do, but not so much if looking to keep them busy unsupervised. (There are a few things like mazes they can do, but it won't take them long.) As for the comic strip bits, they're probably fun for an independent reader although by the time they reach that stage they might find the characters etc a bit childish. And I don't think this kind of stuff works as well if the parent needs to read it to them like a book, personally I'd rather read a more cohesive story book to them than explain slightly random comic strips etc.
For slightly older kids I expect the story is different and this kind of thing starts to come into its own, but for now for us, not really worth renewing.

Avoid! Terrible company
I paid for a years subscription for my niece. It’s been two weeks and she still hasn’t received anything. Haven’t received any confirmation of my order via email although the money has left my account. I have been unable to make an online account through the okido website so no way to check my order, cancel subscription or change address. I had one reply to an email asking for more information but now they have stopped replying. Can’t find a phone contact anywhere.
I have never written a bad review for any company before but unfortunately seems to be my last resort at getting their attention.
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever! Everything looks fine until renewal. Then they start ghosting all your emails so you can’t manage your subscription properly.
It’s a trap.
The magazine itself is good for a few months, then it gets boring because the content is pretty much the same every month (a part from the topic), so it’s not worth it to renew it and they know it!
TERRIBLE COMPANY. I purchased a 1 year subscription for…
I purchased a 1 year subscription for OKIDO magazine for my granddaughter for her birthday 2 years ago. They said it was due for renewal 2 months early. I couldn't get anywhere with customer service so my son renewed for a further year. Now they are saying it is due for renewal 4 months early. It's a scam! The magazine is good but customer service non existent!

Unreliable and disappointing!
I ordered a 12 month magazine subscription back in September to begin In December. The first issue never arrived and, despite many messages and promises, I haven't received the December or January issues. Very disappointing service ! Would not recommend this company to anyone!

Fantastic magazine for little learners
My son has loved getting this magazine for the past couple of years. Fantastic educational content with beautiful presentation.
He has now grown out of the magazine, but I had great customer service when it came to cancelling the subscription at the renewal date.
Fabulous magazine for young children.
My son has been receiving the Okido magazine subscription for about 3 years now. Firstly, he absolutely loves all things Okido, from the stories to the crafts to the recipes. Over the years we have had a few issues that needed sorting, things like payments and confusion on my end, however any queries have been dealt with promptly, kindly and to a very satisfactory level. I honestly cannot fault okido as a company, or their product.
Excellent communication when needed
Excellent communication when needed. Great magazines, my daughter always looks forward to receiving it.
Subscription refund.
My granddaughter became too old for the magazine and I left it late to cancel my annual subscription. I contacted the company by e mail and they sorted it out immediately. My granddaughter enjoyed the excellent magazine for the previous three years.
Nephew loves it
Recently bought a magazine subscription for my nephew and he loves it so much! The content is great, and engages him so well he doesn’t even realise it’s educational (bonus!!)
Absolutely love this magazine

Educational Fun for Kids !!
I love OKIDO, the magazine is brilliant and I recently found out they have a mobile app too. My son’s favourite is the monthly recipes!

My children absolutely love the magazine and we've been subscribed for 6 months.
Felt I had to leave a review after…
Felt I had to leave a review after seeing the less than complimentary comments about subscriptions. I’ve not experienced that, I pick up my copy at WH Smith in Victoria station. But most importantly I wanted to say that in this day and age of cynically mass produced mainstream magazines that target my 7 year old, normally shipping with them a good deal of plastic destined only for landfill, Okido is a breath of fresh air. It’s original, seems to be made with care and has acted as a catalyst to the imagination of my kid who has not only enjoyed ‘making’ but ‘creating’ as a result of it. Thoroughly recommend.
We love getting our Okido mag
We love getting our Okido mag! It arrives on time every month and my three children (3,7 and 9) can always find something to enjoy in it.
It is a great learning resource, full of activities and lovely colouring. A welcome break from screen time and a great way to keep them entertained when out and about.
Excellent magazine!
I ordered a subscription for my nephew, and he absolutely loves it! He’s just turned 4, which we thought was a good age for the magazine, and it did not disappoint! It’s so engaging and he gets so excited every month when it gets delivered. Such an excellent idea for a kids magazine - thank you!
Brilliant magazine for curious kids
My eldest had a subscription for some years as a birthday present. She loves every copy and still returns to them now for the recipes, boardgames and arts and crafts activities. This is such a lovely magazine and it's clear a lot of time goes into making the activities age appropriate, educational and fun.
Great magazine subscription for kids
I’ve been subscribed to OKIDO magazine for years and my boys their subscription each month as well as the World of OKIDO app.
