This was our first safari experience back in September, 2018. As Canadian newlyweds in our 30’s, we chose the adventurer safari due to our budget and desire for an active adventure. This safari exceeded our expectations beyond our wildest dreams - we would highly recommend Okavango Expeditions to anyone interested in doing a safari for the first time and are comfortable with tenting/camping/getting your hands a little dirty. Setting up our camp each day helped us feel more connected to the experience. At no time did we feel unsafe; however, it is an indescribable thrill to hear lions roaring throughout the night as you drift asleep in your tent. We saw so many animals - more than we could count - including elephants, zebras, wildebeest, antelope, lions, leopard, hyenas, hippos, and dozens of different types of bird species. Morgan and Snake were shockingly talented in tracking animals, helping to explain the process, and understanding when each of us passengers needed photo stops (which was a lot). The animals were often up close which took our breath away. The landscape was diverse and beautiful - each day different from the previous. Riding in the jeep was fun - with usb chargers under each seat (very handy for charging your camera!). Morgan and Snake’s personalities alone, made the trip a socially enjoyable one - considerate, intelligent/knowledgable, polite, generous - they made you feel taken care of throughout the trip. Moreover, the food (Snake’s cooking) was delicious - each day completely different meals - all freshly cooked, good quality. There are no words to describe truly, how this safari was for us, other to continue to thank Okavango & feel grateful we chose them for our special trip.

Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end of the trip ! Staff, organisation, food, tent, etc. It exceeded my expectations !

The expedition was brilliant. We saw nearly all the African wildlife. The guide was extremely knowledgable about the animals and the birds. The food was delicious and they catered for me as a vegetarian. The only downside was there was a lot of travelling in the jeep but we did cover a lot of Botswana so you can't have it all.

Let's be honest; the total experience of a safari depends on a lot of different things; animals showing up, weather, individuals in the group, your own mood, etc.

All things Okavango Expeditions could take care of where handled outstanding. That made our safari experience after seven days in Botswana brilliantly.

It was really great organised safari. Better then I ever expected. Morgan was perfect guide and his colleague Snake, really great chef. Everything was well prepared, without any problems at all. And camping inside national parks was really great experince. I will always recommend.

Great safari week with Okavango. Alexis, Joe and T.H have been really great guides, professional, highly knowledgeable, but also fun and relaxed. Together with Chicka, greatest bush cooker, and his team, fully dedicated and nice, they enabled us to spend wonderful time in wildlife under the stars. Always taking care of kids, always keeping safety in mind, Joe, TH and Alex are the perfect guys to go on mobile safari with. If we come back (kids already asked for it), we will ask to go with them. Very professional yet relaxed. Our guide (Max) was extremely knowledgeable, obviously passionate about wildlife and had a good sense of humour. Well equipped outfit and excellent food! We felt that we were in the wild, but safe.

The trip exceeded our expectations in every respect.
Friendly, considerate staff who could not do enough to help us enjoy and understand the environment they shared with us.
There was a lot of driving as we expected but lots of well timed and often imaginative pit stops.
The camp sites got you close to nature. Very close.......which was what we wanted. Tents were better than I expected.
The cook worked His magic on very basic equipment and fresh ingredientts and every meal was a delight.
We were lucky with our fellow companions the majority of whom pitched in and we jelled instantly as a group. We saw lots of close up wildlife and not one mosquito. We saw a variety of landscapes and very friendly and welcoming locals everywhere we went.
It is one of the best holidays we have ever had and I am so glad we didn’t splash out on a lodge based 5 star trip which would cocoon you from the realities of bush life and where your often find 50 + trucks around a waterhole.

It was a very great Tour with our Gides Morgan and Snake.
We get many Informations about the animals and the Nature in Botswana. All questions were answered also.
So we have to say thank you for all and we will came back again to Botswana😀

My trip to Botswana was wonderful. From the start our guide Morgan and cook Snake were fantastic. There wasn't anything that they wouldn't help with. Morgan was a kind, gentle man who had a passion for his work with animals.

The travel arrangements were very good and the agent was very helpful at all times.

We had an amazing trip with Okavango Expeditions! Our guide, Morgan, was very knowledgeable, patient, and willing to answer any question. We enjoyed incredible game viewing during our drives - a group of five young lions, a pride of 11 lions, a pack of hyenas eating an elephant, a cheetah (on our first day!), a leopard, plus lots of elephants, hippos, zebra, impalas, and birds. Both camp sites were in great locations - one near water where we were able to listen to hippo calls all night and one in a major pathway for elephants (seeing elephants walk right past our tent is indescribable!). The staff at the camp site did a fantastic job taking care of us and the food they prepared was the best we ate on our entire trip. The tents were large with room to walk around and comfortable beds. This was a great way to experience Botswana and we highly recommend booking with Okavango Expeditions and Morgan!

We had a great experience, a sensory overload of sights, sounds and smells. Fantastic guide, very comfortable camping and good food.

My tour with Okavango Expedition's Morgan and Noga was the first class experience. Everything was under their control, driving comfortable, excellent food, safe. Places for tents were picked at interesting points.
I also have the luck to travel with great people and enjoy every minute.
The whole trip was organized as I imagine the real safari: driving around with an open car, seeing animals from a close perspective, building tents, showers, toilets by ourselves, eating freshly prepared excellent food (great Noga Scheff) and having chat around the campfire. Morgan proves as an experienced driver and Guide with great knowledge about the Botswana, animals, nature around us.
I will recomend them to everyone I know going to safari in Botswana.
