J.Burrows Ultra Stick-it Notes 76x76mm Yellow.
I know this is small beer, but I bought these because the 3M number wasn't avaiable.
They are labelled "Ultra Adhesive"...the poor girl writing that must have had too much to drink the night before.
These are crap. You stick them on once, and if you have to reposition it, you're done!
Now I've gotta chuck these out and spend $15 on the 3M stuff.
"Ultra Adhesive"....absolute joke, Officeworks......absolute joke?!

I ordered a device online from…

I ordered a device online from Officeworks in the morning and paid EXTRA for same-day afternoon delivery because I urgently needed it. Unfortunately, the delivery never arrived as promised.

I called Officeworks before 5 PM to check the status, hoping to ensure it would still arrive on time. Instead of helping, I was simply told that if the delivery failed, the shipping fee would be refunded — but I would still have to wait until the next day for the item. That defeats the whole purpose of paying for same-day delivery.

The following day, I called again to follow up, only to be told I’d need to call back in the afternoon for updates. This is not only inconvenient but also incredibly frustrating. The reason I opted for same-day delivery was because Officeworks advertised this feature and I badly needed the device that day.
If Officeworks cannot provide what they promise online, then they are failing to meet their own service commitments (SLA) and misleading their customers. Simply refunding the shipping fee does nothing when the actual product is urgently required.

Honestly, this behavior should be audited by the ACCC because it looks like Officeworks is breaching its own terms. Customers shouldn’t be lured in with “same-day delivery” if it isn’t actually reliable.

I’ll think twice before trusting Officeworks’ online delivery again. Extremely disappointing experience.

2 had to prove that I actually paid for it
3 after leaving for 1hr for them to find it
4 still not found had to show that I actually paid for it again
5 now they see I did order this poster they print it while I wait.
6 no cylinder or envelope to protect it, but given a rubber band,
Not happy with how this was all conducted.
7 then told have a good day. Really??
This was at your Fyshwick store in Canberra

AVOID - Staff don’t know consumer law - Refused refund on dud product

I purchased a modem router from Officeworks about 3.5 years ago. It ceased working. I took it back to Officeworks Joondalup for a refund as one would expect under the Australian Consumer Law, 3.5 years is a shorter than expected life for a modem router.

One particularly officious staff member first sought to deny me on the basis of warranty. It was claimed the Officeworks warranty was 1 year - for a router which cost c. $300.

I pointed out the box had “3 year Warranty” printed on it. The officious staff member was joined by another equally officious (although not as nasty) staff member.

When I raised the Australian Consumer Law, the staff claimed they knew nothing of it. I find it hard to believe a Company like Wesfarmers, which owns Officeworks, is not training its staff on the Australian Consumer Law, if it be the case.

I will be avoiding Officeworks in the future, and suggest you do too.

Shocking customer service from the head…

Shocking customer service from the head office customer care team over the phone. Wasn’t able to pay for my online order for printed documents. Error message kept saying payments with a credit card are unaccepted at the moment. I called customer service to then be told to clear log out clear the cache and try again. Same error. I called back and she told me to try it from a different device so I tried on my mobile while on the phone to her. Error again. She then asked what engines I was using (I tried both chrome and safari) she then wanted me to download edge (not willing to do that) she said there’s no problem on their end. I asked if I could just pay over the phone, apparently you can only process stationary products over the phone but can’t pay for print. Looks like I’ll be going to my local printers instead. Thanks for not helping officeworks!

Poor Display of Product

I wanted to buy a Kindle and was debating between the colorsoft or new Kindle scribe. Office works advertise that they sell both and upon research I found which location stated that both were "in stock". I drove an extra 20 minutes to the location only to find that they dont have them available on display. I was told that display units were not available so even though the products were in stock i was unable to test them.

Their monopoly is the only reason they survive

Officeworks is a failure of the free market tbh. The website for this company is a barely functional nightmare. Purchases made via your business account sit under the 'other' label of the breakdown of your next purchase, so the website comes to the conclusion that it owes you money and will thus not let you complete the purchase. Contacting customer service is a waste of your time and effort - they won't help you. Only advice I got from someone who had an audible shrug in their tone was to download an entire separate browser and try there, which, outside of being nothing close to an actual solution, didn't even work!

I've never been overly impressed by…

I've never been overly impressed by Officeworks but am obliged to use them for ordering at work. For 3 days I have tried to place an order but keep getting logged out, or the website is so slow it lags for ages and by the time it loads there are no items in my cart. I can't even get to the checkout stage. By that time my cart appears empty & because I was logged out involuntarily so many times, my account eventually got blocked.

There is a message on their website that 'some' users are experiencing intermittent problems but to just try again as if it's not a problem on Officeworks end. I have tried to order with different computers with different internet providers with no luck.

The website should be offline until it's fixed. Don't waste people's time telling them to try again when doing so is a complete waste of time.

I've decided to do some blocking of my own. Blocking any further orders to Officeworks and taking our business elsewhere.

Warranty Lenova Slim line Laptop…

Purchased a Lenova Slim line Laptop from Officeworks Lismore in November 2024. On 10th July 2025 computer battery died, wouldn't charge or hold charge. Couldn't back up anything as there was only 5% battery left. Explained to them about this as well, couldn't have cared less. Sent back under warranty for replacement battery, weeks later get computer back damaged which had a big dent in the back of it and absolutely everything had been wiped from computer, all data files and Home Office had been wiped. Took computer to my local computer repairer to try and retrieve data and he could not believe they had wiped absolutely everything off my computer for a battery repair. Had never seen such negligence on their part. I will NEVER purchase another product from Officeworks. Buyer beware of their terms and conditions of warranty as they will wipe all data from your computer. Absolutely no care for you as a customer. At least I had done a partial backup of some of my files a month before and my photos were still on my phone to reinstall.

selling empty boxes for unavailable product, just wasting time in shop

I just don't understand why shop is selling empty boxes / hard drives with unavailable product in shop including at any other nearest shop and what for is buy and pick up at your local shop option when I need to drive on other side of Melbourne metropolitan area to get that product in far away shop???
GUYS WHERE IS A SERVICE FOR CUSTOMERS???
Why stuff can't pick up a phone??? I called to few shops , zero result !!!
Why you simply pushing me to drive miles away when you should have working buy and pick up option at local store??? why you blocking online purchase ??? you loosing customers !!! If I want to do shopping in local shop I simply go there. I don't need click and collect there but if product in different location - it's you should organise delivery in local shop for pick up!!!
I just in shock you put on shelves empty boxes for product which you can't supply and you don't have .
Half of information on some products is not in english, it is unreadable impossible to understand and plus you are telling me that you can't open a box to check out included items because it's sealed but happy me to buy it first open in front of you and do refund immediately .... isn't it ridiculous????
Do you know what are you doing???
I just so much hope for another shop to come on a market who can take over your bad business and look after customers .... because you can't !!! Absolutely !!!

COMPANY PHONE SERVICE RE PRODUCTS

This doesn't refer to a purchase BUT I tried to ring Office Works today, Warana & Maroochydore Stores on the Sunshine Coast and only got a recording, couldn't speak to anyone at either store and basically a message saying I had to go to the store to check if they had stock otherwise look online......... biggest problem as I have found in the past is that the On Line stock is never up to date. Have gone there many times to find when it states on line that they have stock when I go there NO STOCK !! Why should I waste my time and petrol when a simple phone call will give me the answer !! Most extremely poor customer phone service I have ever experienced. I could be wrong but I do not know of any other major LARGE RETAILER that does this. How to turn people away from your business.

One of the chargers I purchased stopped working after a week, and the equipment quality wasn't quite excellent, and the prices were a little high for what I got. tried talking to the staff but i was told it was my fault like i barely used this charger quite annoying

Officework DOES NOT WORK

I have lodged a formal complaint. I went in to do 4 photocopies black and white 30 pages and wanted just plain black front and back cover and spiral cheap binding for 3 booklets. Also had 4 colour one page photocopies to do. i was told to come back TOMORROW. they were busy and the ONE PERSON IN PRINT had like 4 huge piles of booklets to do so she couldn't do mine. This was like 3pm in the afternoon on a weekday. There were many staff standing round doing nothing. I asked why they couldn't do simple photocopy. NO they dont work in print. I asked for the manager. Danny. He said the same thing but it went from come back tomorrow to come back in an hour. This Wentworthville store is in the middle of nowhere. No shops to browse around it and is at least a 10 minute drive on a workday from work. Then the girl said she would just run it through the photocopier for me. I said thank you and that I would browse in the shop as there was other stuff I wanted to buy. So I went to look at the KEYBOARDS. The coloured clicky ones you usually have on display in other stores. I had wanted to buy one for ages and had a gift card to use. No such luck. Not only were there NONE on display but they told me there is no way they can even open a box to show me what they look like. They had no keyboards on display. Just a bunch of EMPTY BOXES!! I walked off from that section in disgust. No she can't show me one as she cant open a box! How does this shop sell anything. Anyway I went back to get my 4 booklets. No they could not be bound today. But the photocopies were FINISHED. So I just took them in disgust and left. How does this store SELL printing and digital to the public. I would have spent at least over $200 that day in the store but there was NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at all. To make matters worse I rang head office Officeworks and lodged a formal complaint. Got a complaint number and was told the AREA MANAGER would call me back and deal with it. I AM STILL WAITING FOR A RETURN AREA MANAGER PHONE CALL! Such bad service. Shame on you Officeworks as Wentworthville Office Works certainly DOES NOT WORK!

Mahdi at Morley⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Outstanding Service from Mahdi at Officeworks Morley

I had an exceptional experience thanks to Mahdi at the Morley Officeworks store. From the moment I approached him for help, he was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to assist. He went above and beyond to make sure I found exactly what I needed — and did so with a calm, friendly attitude that made the whole process easy and stress-free.

It’s rare to come across customer service that feels both personal and professional, but Mahdi delivered both seamlessly. He clearly takes pride in his work and cares about the customer experience. A real asset to the team!

Thank you, Mahdi — I’ll definitely be returning because of the great service you provided. 👏

All care, no responsibility

I visited the Penrith store on Tuesday, 24 June, and was quoted a sale price of $747 on a laptop as part of their EOFY promotion. The staff member confirmed this price would remain valid until 30 June.
When I returned on Thursday, 26 June, the same laptop was priced at $797. Unable to locate assistance in-store, I contacted them online regarding the price discrepancy. Their response indicated they would not honour the previously quoted price, with a consultant claiming this “couldn’t” be done. Of course it could be done - they’re just unwilling to stand behind what their own staff promised.
As a repeat customer over several years, I found this lack of follow-through on their staff’s commitment disappointing. The dismissive response to a legitimate pricing concern suggests poor internal communication and customer service standards that don’t align with the loyalty I’ve shown this business.
