How this company uses Trustpilot
See how their reviews and ratings are sourced, scored, and moderated.
First of all, O2 makes it really difficult for customers to contact them with long wait times on the phone or a bot and app that do not help.
Second of all, when you finally reach customer care, they are unable to resolve the issue whether it is down to a system failure on their side, or the problem requiring further analysis.
This is extremely unhelpful when the service is down or there is a technical fault and customers are left without an internet and telephone connection for prolonged periods.
It is absolutely unacceptable for a communication service, very disappointing.

1 star is waaay too much for such a racist company in Germany. I have been a prepaid costumer for years with O2 and finally decided to get a contract.
Went to a shop and made a contract but the system declined it IMMEDIATELY without a reason.
After talking to people who used to work for O2 I believe they declined the contract because of my east-european passport.
Shame on you

O2 network having some problems nowadays in Berlin. Connection goes up and down. It's very annoying. I hope they can resolve it asap.

No surprise to see all the 1 star reviews here. I have had nothing but bad experiences with O2 from initial connection transfer to help when the unreliable connection decides to disconnect. I wfh and am currently at 5 days with no connection, technician didn't show up, I "should" hear from them within 2 days for a new appointment... What about my lost wages and time?
O2 seem to think that offering a language portal is the equivalent of a service - it isn't. Also all the bot responses here recommend to follow a process that someone has already had a problem with or to comment in another portal that redirects. If I did this with my customers I would have no business.

The worst customer Service ever.
What a mistake to buy from them!
30 min trying to speak with the people and the speak hyper fast and hang up the calls. they should really check and put them out this company. Or build a new one. This systems is so bad...

1star is too much.
Requested a contract change 2 times and all you can answer "you made a mistake". Yes, the mistake is to be your client since 2009.
I understand that the customer care job can be a nightmare, but at least have some basic information about the product and improve communication among colleagues.
I will just change provider because you are not worth my time anymore.

I was changing my phone number/internet provider from WinSim to O2 and through the application I was told that they are going to change it. It didn’t happen tho, they just made it very complicated and in the end I have to do it all by myself because they are incapable doing it right

o2 provides significantly lower bandwidth than offered as average with their 'my Internet-to-Go' product. Whilst purchasing and flexibility are easy and client-friendly, the delivery for 40 % of the time was a disaster with 5 times lower bandwidth than contracted as average (6-14 Mbit instead of 54 Mbit average, maximum 300 Mbit) making it impossible for me to actually use it - at home with a router at a spot with full reception by the way.
Very sadly, there's zero goodwill at o2 but incredibly well organised backend processes for invoicing, default summons, refusals of conciliation proceeding requests and legal matters. Hence, we are in a dispute for over 8 months now. Consider that this is being paid by every client. Shame.

This company's disorganization is hard to fathom. It feels like their website, app, and customer support are deliberately designed to confuse people and trap them into long contracts against their will.
I signed up for o2's home wifi and got the router on time. But the technician never showed up. So, I set up the router myself, but it didn't work. Trying to get help from customer support and visiting a store didn't get me anywhere.
Now, I'm stuck with a router that doesn't work, and o2 wants to charge me for a service they never really gave. I've tried emailing and calling, but nothing's worked to fix this issue. They have designed their website, app and lack of customer support in a way to intentionally do this to customers. It should be illegal.

After several efforts I managed to cancel my phone, 4 months after I left Germany. They are still charging me for two numbers which apparently I have to cancel separately. I do not know what these two numbers are, I have never used them. When I purchased my phone and card I think I was told these two extra cards were free and bundled in as data cards. Now they are charging me 24 Euro a month for nothing. I explained this and they wrote "The phone numbers you are complaining about have been active since July 29, 2021 and cannot be cancelled.
If you no longer wish to use these tariffs, please submit a cancellation online via our website under Your cancellation request | o2 (o2online.de) on. Where on this web site? Mostly it directs me to offers, increased tarifs, or "02 community" where hundreds of customers are complaining that they can not cancel and get no reply for months. There is a search bar - but it disappears when you click on it. However if I just type anyway, it will search - and for the term I was given (your cancellation) it returns "no search results available."

Bought a prepaid simcard for my girlfriend at the supermarket today. They said that the identification and verification process is very simple. Boy it was so so wrong. First, we followed through the process but in the end none of O2 employee answer our call. Then we tried to call again, this time they said my girlfriend name on her passport is wrong and they demanded us to rewrite. Where we are from, the name is written as Last Name - First Name and it is also the case on the passport, which is different in Germany when it is First Name - Last Name. Ok, we were a bit annoyed but no problem, we wanted to get it done. We tried to rewrite to satisfy them but this time their website decided to stop working. All the changes we put in the name was not saved. Thus, even when we reached the employee they kept telling us the name is wrong.
If this is how O2 provide their service and their technical support, we will make sure to far away from them

0 Bro 0, Simple 0 rating. Their technician team does not speak English. Even though It's a UK-based company. The Technical Team cut the call the minute you talk in English. I thought they would have a Technical English Department hence I took this service. I did a huge mistake taking this internet service in Germany. Now I am tied to this horrible company for 2 years like an unhappy abusive marriage.
-They are really rude on the call. They talk down to you as if you are an idiot for calling them. The so-called English Speaking Customer Service Department
-The internet activation was a huge failure.
-I was given an appointment for the technician to come. I didn't go to the office. They didn't come and closed my ticket. 8988969 Excuse me! The Internet is still not working! and how can you make someone wait and don't come? hats off! You sure know how to tick people off
-I get transferred a hundred times between Technical and English Customer Service like a ping-pong just because I don't speak German.
-Apparently, I have to go grab some German Dude from the streets for me to speak to the Technical Team in German. Wow! Brilliant. Make the Customer do all the legwork
Now o2 please don't reply to this saying 'Please call the English Hotline' I swear to god! Do some real customer service help.

I moved from Turkey to Germany 5 years ago. If I compare o2 with the Turkish Telecommunication companies, my opinion is that even the worst Turkish Telecommunication company is much more reliable than o2. My wife's o2 account hacked by hackers and while they try to order something on my wife's o2 account, o2 support team only say that please change your password. When you say that I want to contact o2 fraud team they say you should send a physical letter to our fraud team. What should we do in this case? Should we talk with hackers and say them "hi dear hacker, could you please wait me a couple weeks to contact o2 fraud team? Then you can continue your job. Thank you." The year is 2023 and you are not able to send an e mail to one of the biggest German telecommunication company's fraud team. This is incredible.

I was living in Germany and I did not have any problems over there but i needed to fly home to the USA i still can't cancel my phone .... they don't understand that I don't live anymore in Germany but they just want to charge me a lot of money for no reason even when i did a Abmeldung (cancelling my registration).
