I am now taking the online professional…

I am now taking the online professional photography course. It would be ideal course for me to take a synchronous class, where you had to report at 9 AM for the lecture, or whatever. However this is the best I could find and so far, I’m happy. It’s much more difficult than I thought. I just received the feedback from my instructor for the first lesson. It is a 10 minute audio-recorded lecture. The feedback was very constructive and insightful. The only negative I could say, is it doesn’t allow you to immediately reply to the instructor. I think it’s possible to send him a message on the system if you log out of the course. But I understand, if you had endless go-betweens it would overload the instructors with work.

I took the portrait photography course…

I took the portrait photography course this year. The critique that is given is honest and very constructive in moving you towards exceptional portraiture. The instructors are very fair and honest. And when a question arises, there is always someone to answer it. If you really want your portraiture to stand out. Then this school is what you should seriously consider. Years ago when it was just film. took the original photography course. If i did not find the original course rewarding. Then i would not have ventured further doing this course. The instructors make you think of what image you are trying to show to others. This school is a very worthwhile investment, if you want to become top notch in this field. Thanks N.Y.I. Highly recommended

I really enjoyed theProfessional Photography Course. It was really well organised and I learned a lot from the lectures and course notes as well as the links they provide to delve even further into areas which are sometimes masterclasses by well known photographers or documentaries on photographers such as Ansel Adams. It started out with improving technically but then it ventured into specific areas of expertise such as weddings, portraiture or architecture for example and discussions about camera equipment and running it as a business. I’m really glad I took the course. I feel like my photography reached the next level.

I feel happy and full of gratitude for being a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography, having completed the course in its Spanish version, I set myself the goal of doing it with the New York school itself, thanks to its Director Jacob Boller, and to the Registrar Sandra Darien, I also want to thank the teachers Deborah Matlack and Philip Mauro for their advice and collaboration in the practical tasks, proud to be part of the family of the best NYIP school, God Bless you !!!

I have truly enjoyed all my courses, But

I have truly enjoyed all my courses, But.

I have so far taken 2 courses and looking into my third course, I will say all the teachers have been a great help, very informative, super supportive as well I have been able to connect with some of the teachers VIA social networks, and they still help even after you complete the course. really enjoyed it. I do wish though there was a way to talk back with the teachers, and ask questions during the actual courses. Mainly on projects. that way you have that human connection, I am a mom of 3 step mom of 2 so the study at your own pace has been the best thing ever!! I have seriously enjoyed it all.

Again I just wish their was a way to connect with the teachers better, during the courses and such to really get a full experience in the course, there has been times I have had a few questions and it wasn't like you can email them or anything, that I have misinterpreted the project and had to redo it.

Rather then that I love the school, the programs are great full of information to take your photography to the next level overall its been a great experience for me as I grow my technique and business.

Study at your own pace

I love the fact that we can create our own schedules and study at our own pace. My personal and work life are very hectic so I don't have much time to study. Also I really love that they offer extensions, which gives us extra time to finish the projects required to graduate.

Very good

I graduated 3 years ago and now I'm a professional photographer making advertising photography, portraits and have also covered some events like beauty pageant Miss Teen and a couple of soccer championships. Some years ago the online instruction option wasn't available yet in NYIP, so all the books were sent to me via FedEx. Books that I keep and review from time to time as they are full of very good advice and are an invaluable source of information every time I get into a new type of photography I'm not used to. I want to thank my mentor: Ms. Deborah Matlack, she is a very nice person and very skilled professional photographer.

Best Photographic Institute

My experience doing the Professional Photographic course was amazing. It covered all aspects of photography which is not always easy when you don't know what to ask. My photography has improved tremendously. I would recommend these courses to anyone who wants to start out in this profession. The course content was clear and informative. The mentors fabulous and always gave excellent advice.

Good, not great!

Taking a photography course online is a great way to build a solid foundation of knowledge and the assignments are well thought out. The reviews depend on the reviewer and sometimes they don’t look at the parameters that they were meant to review on, which is a bit frustrating. Also, the ability to go into the field and experience a shoot with professionals is missing when you do online training and that is more valuable than anything that NYIP can provide. If there were some time available for students to go in and work with, let’s say, flash, and experience it with a mentor, it would make the course more valuable and better their students prospects after graduation. I feel that this course makes you book smart, but not necessarily street smart.

NYIP - the best online class available..

I have taken 2 classes through NYIP and am currently in a third. NYIP is the most comprehensive, in depth school available on line and one I would recommend for others to check out and enroll. Awesome, caring and wanting to see you succeed Professors. So, if you are even a little bit interested in photography, I highly recommend New York Institute of Photography.
