We purchased a Nutanix solution for the school and unfortunately within a year the hardware started to fail.
The Tech Support at Nutanix were amazing and worked through the night to 'get us back up and
in limb mode', but we need a replacement part and a field engineer to visit site to complete the repair. This is when the service levels dropped significantly.
You can complete lots of emails confirming your address details and complete the online form, but that is not sufficient for the RMA Department. It appears the RMA Dept do not have access to the Warranty department / Support Department systems.
They will continue to email you with requests to complete the necessary validation "of the order will not be processed".
I have completed the validation, sent emails and confirmed verbally with customer support that the validation has been complete but the RMA Departments response is "Computer Says No".
This is my first experience with Nutanix as a vendor and I appreciate things can go wrong, but the level of customer service for the RMA Department (potentially delaying a fix) is a shocking way to deliver any customer facing solution.

We were mis-sold a HCI solution. You wont believe what I and the supplier have and are still experiencing with Nutanix. Without going into to much detail I just want to say that everything that was promised was not met when the kit was delivered and we have been left fighting to return it because its not suitable. We were sent around many of Nutanix representatives who all were trying to solve our issues by unprofessionally throwing suggestions, articles and unpractical out of scope solutions at us. After speaking with other suppliers about this situation they said that this was not the first time that they have seen Nutanix brush their hands post sale! Absolute disgraceful company to their customers and suppliers. Legal teams, lawyers the lot are involved with my case who are going against Nutanix for fraud who yet are still trying to talk themselves out of the situation/avoid responsibility!
We're running Nutanix since early 2017
We're running Nutanix since early 2017, when we migrated our main datacenter workloads (about 600 VMs), both Production and Dev/Test environments. Since then, we are expanding our usage to remote/ROBO sites, on our manufacturing plants and vessels. We're currently running over 70 nodes, across 16 sites/clusters.
Nutanix is an amazing product, that is constantly evolving and launching new features/improvements. Also, their Support team is one of their stronggest points. By far, one of the best support channels I ever worked with.
One of my favorite features is LCM (Life Cycle Management), where you can upgrade both the AOS (Nutanix software), the hypervisor (AHV, ESXi, etc), and the firmwares for physical components, such as disks, BIOS, BMC, HBAs, etc.
It's a 'rolling upgrade' process, where Nutanix software takes care of VMs migration and the whole upgrade process, one node at a time.

I have been learning about many HCI solutions in the market and Nutanix has a very complete solution for his customers.
The Software Defined ideology gives you the flexibility to use the Hypervisor of your choise or migrate to the no cost option AHV allowing to take advantaje of the total integration in their software stack.
Nutanix data protection capabilities (local and remote) enables you with the Bussiness Contnuity and Disaster Recovery that any customer should have in their infrastructure without requiring another dedicated solution for this purpose.
Data Locality, hot data tiering allows a great performance for aplications inside virtual machines benefit the production workloads.
Monitoring and management of all the solution is posible centrally trough Prism so you will have the control of all your infrastructure from one unique web console.

Nutanix Hyper Converged Solution
I would suggest Nutanix as a hyper-converged solution over VMware stuff. It’s one box solution having compute , network & storage and simplify our infrastructure by removing Storage switches and getting excellent performance by having network and compute in the same host.

Nutanix was everything we ever wanted from an HCI deployment and so much more. We envisioned the setup and maintenance to have a lot of overhead but it has been just he opposite. Support has been great from the very beginning deployment providing us with more than solutions but education on why and how. We are still learning new things all the time and welcome the feature updates. The best part about Nutanix HCI is that is has solved problems we never knew we had. For example, the time and frustration maintaining and administering all of the software updates from BIOS/Drivers to Hypervisor Upgrades. This was not as easily quantifiable until Nutanix One-Click Upgrades and LCM became available to us. Thank you NUTANIX.
