This eSIM is really good for China trip ah
Went China for 8 days, bought NPN Travel 10GB plan. Before departure, scanned QR code and installed already. When plane landed at Shanghai Pudong, turned on phone, auto connect, can use immediately. No need to take out SIM card or go find local shop. Superr convenient, even better than renting WiFi.
Good things:
Activation super easy. Email instructions clear, scan once settle liao, don't even need to set APN yourself.
In city areas, connection quite steady. I used in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing – surf Xiaohongshu, WeChat video call, Baidu map navigation all very smooth. Watch CN Douyin also no lag.
Price transparent. Cheaper than my Singtel roaming by more than half sia. Can see data usage in app anytime, wont accidentally overshoot.
One small hiccup: On the highway from Hangzhou to Huangshan, inside tunnels sometimes no signal. But once out of tunnel, connection come back fast. I think this one quite normal lah, didn't affect overall experience.
Customer service: I emailed them to ask about data expiry date, they replied on the same day, quite friendly also.
Overall: If you're going to big cities in China, this NPN eSIM is worth recommending. Next time I go China, sure buy again.
