I felt so foolish and betrayed
I felt so foolish and betrayed. It all started on Twitter/X. I connected with someone who offered to show me the ropes of algorithmic trading. To build trust, they forwarded 10.54 BTC to my wallet to register on their platform. I followed their lead, traded, and actually withdrew 16.08 BTC. Convinced it was real, they urged me to scale up. I risked a business loan totaling $94,910. My dashboard skyrocketed to $714,399. Thrilled, I attempted to pull out $534,618, only to be hit with a 6% liquidity release fee amounting to $32,077. Desperate, I scrambled to pay it, relying on my previous successful withdrawal as proof it worked. Then came a demand for a 30% risk control deposit. The illusion shattered. I contacted authorities who pointed me to a blockchain intelligence agency (FiscopAdvisor). Their investigators tracked the BTC straight to KuCoin, identified the culprit's bank details, and successfully recovered the stolen funds.
