One of the worst companies I have ever…

One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I was told I was in a 30 day rolling contract until I tried to cancel, after requesting my PAC code they suddenley decided I was in a 12 month contract. They have provided no proof I'm in a contract and refuse to respond to any corrispondence except for removing themselves from a WhatsApp group I created.
My number is for my business so I'm stuck paying for 2 contracts as I cannot risk loosing my number or getting bad credit.

I was never told I was in a contract

I was never told I was in a contract, in fact I was told it was a 30 day rolling contract. I complained about issues in December and nothing has been done since. I've been told to email not WhatsApp but I only ever get a response by WhatsApp telling me to only use email to which they never respond. Once I went to cancel they have said I'm in a contract for 12 months and since I questioned this they are not doing anything to discuss it. I've asked on several occasions if they record calls so they can listen to the conversation where I'm told I'm in a 30 day contract but not once have they acknowledged this or whether the conversation went ahead.

Fantastic service. Highly recommended. Could be the answer to you phone/broadband problems.

NotSpot provided my Mastband aerial and router at the beginning of 2017, after BT Openreach admitted they simply couldn't maintain a line to my rural location. As there was a grant available via the local council, the set up charges were minimal. It's portable too. I bought an additional antenna, and use it in our village hall. It's all worked extremely well until recently, when, I suspected my router might be failing due to inconsistent speeds and dropouts. I phoned for help, and although nothing showed up with a remote check, Lawrence mailed a new router out, which I received the next day. This didn't solve the problem. As they were on another call in Shropshire the following day, they called in and diagnosed that the EE network had been at fault all along, not my equipment. Now back to full speed! Fantastic service.
I've read a couple of others reviews here, and can't believe they're referring to the same people I've been dealing with. I would highly recommend.

Doesn’t solve everyone’s needs

What started off well and served our needs a few years ago , went steadily downhill after the first router failed last year. Plenty of excuses and high cost of new router and “far better” aerial we went from 30mbs to 8mbs in 2022/23 and continually dropping off signal. Not great when you work from home and signal dies mid Zoom call, or half way through a Tesco order. After 8 months of severe frustration, change of location of aerial and loads more excuses, we have given up trying to connect with Notspot and paid far less to get Starlink Wi-Fi and superfast connections. Now seeking a refund for the aerial and router which are less than 12 months old

ZERO

Unfortunately there isn't an option of 0 stars!
After experiencing an issue, as stated in the email which we have saved, the proclaimed MD of this company proved to be a rude / obnoxious being who should be avoided at all costs.
His email correspondence (although 2 months late) was extremely hostile toward myself and the service I contribute, turning to combative with threats of removing the substandard service he supposedly provides? Is this really the way a mentally sound person runs a company?
He states the word 'derogatory' in his email to myself yet he is the one composing belittling accusations toward another with his comments!
Lets be honest he cant even provide the HMRC with his correct DOB when incorporating his company?
I seriously hope I never have to deal with a parasite of this magnitude again.

Extremely poor service

First attempt to instal in July 2019 was unsuccessful - engineer couldn't find a 4g signal. I agreed they keep the £470 deposit and make a repeat attempt some weeks later; 4g signal was found but unfortunately inadequate for broadband, so no installation. It then took until Sept 2020, after numerous phonecalls and emails for my deposit to be returned, following the message I would pursue this through small claims court/legal action. Not ideal.
The staff answering the phone/replying to emails were all pleasant and tried to be helpful and forwarded requests to owner Lawrence...which seemed to be where things stalled.
I would strongly advise not to use this company - unreliable.

Frustratingly Poor Service

I first made contact with NotSpot in mid-December 2020. The initial call went well, they seemed to be helpful and knowledgeable, I looked forward to giving them my business, then nothing.....silence..... no call back.
I tried on a further four occasions to speak to Laurence who I had spoken with on my initial call, there was no response to any of my calls.
This is a classic case of a company that either has too much on their plate and can't cope or have become complacent with success.

Used this company twice now

Used this company twice now, once back in 2018 with a house installation that solved a long standing poor quality broadband issue. I`m told we are so far away from the exchange that even a bonded fixed line broadband solution didn`t work properly. Notspot provided robust 4G mobile connectivity that resolved our issues. Kids have never been happier. Only issue we had was the data limits which are now a thing of the past. Our second installation was a business one for the same issue and have never looked back. Would recommend this company if they get the solutions and service we have received. Paul Green, Managing Director, Revolution Oil Ltd

There's something seriously wrong with…

There's something seriously wrong with this 'company'.

Spoken to the 'manager' on a number of occasions who comes across very abusive and unhelpful. Loosing their cool mid phone call because they are unable to help is not what I ordered.

Other reviews say the same, AVOID!

I will NOT be recommending you guys to anyone, not even my worse enemy.

Beware. Avoid NotSpot like the plague

Beware, Notspot Broadband are a dreadful organisation. Very good to deal with when you sign up, but the technical support and service is abysmal. They actually are rude and unhelpful. We were left without broadband for a month while they incompetently tried to resolve a problem that they were unable to resolve.

I think it is just a few people working out of a bedroom. They are disorganised, inept, rude and lacking any form of customer service. Avoid like the plague.

Overall a terrible company

Overall a terrible company. Initial response is good and then goes downhill from there. I seriously think they operate out of someone's bedroom. Their routers are old Teletonika ones that are next to useless and they lock them so you cant even access them. The first one they supplied failed, they then sent someone out to replace it that didn't have a router on board, I then had to wait for 3 days without any router/connection for replacement. Then the router stopped letting me have my last few 1gb of data so I could not top up with EE as it wouldn't run out and didn't have any internet access to. On top of that it also kept dropping out and continually need resetting as it was failing to recognise connected things such as speakers and printers. I paid for port forwarding that they never got working for 2 months of clueless trying.
they continued to take 2 months of port forwarding fees for which ive been chasing a refund for the last 6 weeks speaking to someone once a week about getting it back. I still haven't got my refund hence this review....

MY SOLUTION..... Ive bought a new Huawei router, binned the Notspot and started again. The Huawei router is getting better speeds, not dropping out and doesn't need resetting.

I would give Notspot no stars but am not able to so the one star its got can be for their pringle tin receiver that im still using. If I could do it all again I would just get the EE contract myself (as that's who your contract is essentially with) and buy a compatible router
