Import Tax Not Clearly Indicated & Poor Customer Support
I am very disappointed with my recent experience with Notorious Plug.
I placed order #9638 and, upon delivery, the courier charged me €40.4 in import taxes. However, the website does not clearly indicate that additional import taxes may be required. I contacted customer service to clarify this issue, since the lack of transparency caused unexpected costs.
Their initial reply claimed that my shipment had been marked at a lower value (£55) to reduce import taxes. However, based on my own calculation, the declared value seemed to have no actual effect on the final tax I was charged. I sent them a detailed explanation with exact numbers and politely asked for clarification.
After this, customer support completely stopped replying. No follow-up, no explanation, no assistance.
A company should be transparent about potential extra costs and should not ignore customers once the issue becomes complicated. The poor communication and failure to respond after my second message is unacceptable.
Overall, this experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and disappointing. I cannot recommend this store.

The customer bought an item in the sale with a retail price of £440 and paid just £110 for the item. The order was internationally delivered within 5 working days. The customers country of residence charged him import duties of £35 which are of course out of our control. Unfortunately our explanation regarding import taxes/duties to the customer was not accepted, hence the review. We apologise we could not do more to provide a satisfying experience on this occasion.
