It's a really comfy mattress and great that it packs down into a small bag. It does take a while to deflate and needs 2 people to pack down but that's not a biggie. Overall it's a great buy!

I was skeptical when I opened it and…
I was skeptical when I opened it and saw how thin it was, but it didn’t disappoint me! I’m a side sleeper and my hip didn’t touch the ground at all. It stayed inflated both nights, it didn’t need blowing up again for the 2nd night. If I had been staying a third night I would have given it some air I think. Reason I took one of the stars away is the built in pillow, since I brought my own pillow I found all that did was push me further down the mattress. Other than that, I really like it and happy with my purchase!

Bought for my son to replace his traditional foil backed yoga style sleeping mat. He used it for a weeks volunteering and found it extremely comfortable and warm; very pleased to have the comfort after his long shifts and really appreciated the substantial upgrade. All in all I'd call this a win!

Supplier contact was great - nothing lacking there. Mattress arrived here in Canada from overseas a lot faster than I expected - 2 to 2 and a half weeks which is impressive. Mattress is very firm and supportive - I probably could use less air in it to make it less firm. Yes, it's a bit slippery but perhaps that would only be an issue on a slope. I didn't notice any crinkly noise. I slept on it on a cot for four nights and on my bedroom floor for two and it was much the same sleep on both. Glad I got it. Kind of sad I had to take it off the bedroom floor and put it away.

We also appreciate your comments about the surface. If you ever find it a little slippery, placing a thin sheet or lightweight blanket over the mattress can add some extra grip while making the sleeping surface feel even cosier.

Seems like a quality products. We purchased the small portable air pump that goes with the mattresses. Didn't seem to quite inflate the mattress to a very high psi/firm compression. Would seem that you'd bottom out when sitting or kneeling on mattress. Part of the design to only fill to certain pressure?

The mattress doesn’t need to be inflated extremely hard to provide great comfort and support. When sitting or kneeling, your weight is concentrated in one smaller area, so you may naturally sink further into the mattress than you would when lying down with your weight distributed across the surface.
One of the great things about the mattress is being able to adjust the firmness to find your own comfort sweet spot. Some sleepers prefer it firmer, while others find that letting a little air out creates a softer, more supportive feel. We recommend experimenting with the pressure once you’re lying down until you find what feels best for your sleeping position.
The mini air pump is great for quick and convenient inflation, and if you prefer a firmer setup, you can always finish with a few presses of the built-in foot pump to fine-tune the firmness exactly where you like it.

You’ve also raised a really useful point about inflation on sand. Because the built-in foot pump works best when you can apply firm, consistent pressure, very soft surfaces can make pumping a little more challenging than it appears on solid ground. Placing the pump section over a firmer surface, or putting something flat and stable underneath it, can make inflation much easier when camping on sand or similarly soft terrain.
We really appreciate you highlighting this, Franzi, and we’re delighted that despite the softer ground making setup a little trickier, the mattress still came through with the comfort you were looking for!

I bought one mattress first to make sure the claims are correct after reading all the reviews. I used it 6 times already and ordered a second one for my wife. It’s very convenient to be able to connect 2 mattresses so they don’t move apart during the night. We have the mattresses on 2 separate cots/camping beds and it works a treat. After my good experience so far my brother bought a pair too and my sister will get them for next spring. One night one mattress was leaking air but I found out the plug was not in properly, when you push it in it needs to do a click. It was all good since.

Great mattress and I'm very pleased with it. Although one of the mattresses arrived faulty; the customer service in swiftly replacing it was exemplary. There is no problem with the replacement; just a freak malfunction on the first one seemingly - these things happen and as long as they're dealt with professionally then it's all fine :-)

Great sleeping pad, unreliable shipping times
The sleeping pad itself is excellent! I was coming from a MEC Reactor pad for backcountry camping, which I really liked, but I have to say that this is faaaaar more comfortable. It packs down a lot smaller and is roughly the same weight. My partner has the MEC VectAir, and the NorthPeak one is definitely comfier and packs smaller than that one as well. Very good value for the price. The horizontal air cells make it so that the pad molds to your body's curves, which is very nice. The built-in headrest is a nice touch, too (I don't know why more sleeping pads don't have this). I still used an inflatable pillow since I'm a side sleeper, but you probably don't need one if you sleep on your back.
The downside is its size when inflated. I like the idea of joining two together with the buttons, but it's just a little too big, so there's no way two would fit side-by-side in an ultralight two-person tent. If you're a tall/wide person and have a large enough tent, then it would be excellent. But if you're on the smaller end and don't have a big tent, there will likely be unnecessary, excess sleeping pad space with the corners potentially folding up the side of your tent.
I would have given this a five star rating, but the delivery time was very slow and I received my package two days past the maximum expected time despite paying for expedited shipping. I didn't get it in time for my first camping trip, which defeated the point of expediting it. If timing isn't important to you, that's great, but if you're in a rush, just be aware that it ships all the way from China and the tracking is not very informative (e.g. "your package has arrived in Canada" instead of "your package has arrived in Toronto" or even "your package has arrived in Ontario").

Mattress works great
Mattress works great, took it on a 5 night hike on Hinchinbrook island and it didn’t let me down. I’m a side sleeper and this mattress was plenty thick enough to keep my hip off the ground. It’s nice and lightweight as well, and it’s easy to get back into its bag.
My only gripe is that the free pillow it comes with is way too small for comfort.

We purchased two for a 14 day bike packing trip. We were both really happy with them. We did learn not to inflate too hard for better comfort.
They felt very tough material and not easy to puncture.
The self pump was good and worked well but in future I will purchase a small pump to inflate just for speed.
Would buy again.
