Northern Renewable Centre Reviews

Great service, neat installation and very friendly staff in the office and on site

Excellent service from Northern Renewable Centre. From start to finish, the team were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made the whole process straightforward and stress-free.

The quality of work was excellent and it’s clear they genuinely care about their customers and the service they provide. I’d have no hesitation recommending Northern Renewable Centre to anyone looking for reliable renewable energy solutions. Great company and great service!

Based on a recommendation, we asked Northern Renewables to quote for and then install a solar panel system with battery. We found them really straightforward to deal with. They explained everything clearly and did everything they promised. The team on the day could not have been more helpful. I would recommend them without hesitation.

From start to finish it was a brilliant experience. I knew nothing about solar panels until I spoke to Rachel who is very knowledgable and explained things in simple terms.
The lads turned up on time and worked tidy as they went along and did a first class job with everything. They were all polite.
I would recommend NRC if you are looking for solar panels.
Thanks to everyone concerned.

I went with Northern Renewables date being let down repeatedly by Octopus. They responded quickly to my query and from the start were able to guide me through the various options to select the solar and battery system that was right for us.
Staff were friendly and knowledgable and quick to respond. On the day of the install of my solar system, the team just got on with the job in hand, they were polite and friendly, cleaned up after themselves and got the whole install done in a day. Very pleased with the service and price was competitive. Glad a contacted them.

Northern Renewable staff returned twice in the last month to answer our request for further development of our remarkably successful solar and battery system serving our all electric house built to passive house standards.
Jamie and his assistant have just completed the most thorough ASHP service since the device was installed 9 years ago.
The various service engineers who came annually in that time never once removed the cover on the ASHP but simply gave it an external cat lick. It is now restored to pristine condition with all layers of accumulated detritus, spider webs and grime removed . It inspired us to ask ,"Do you also do ovens?!"

The apprentice showed absolute interest in and commitment to his work and was very well supported by Jamie as his mentor.
To complete our transition to almost zero electricity costs we also had an e.v. charger installed in preparation for a move from fossil fueled transport. Dan from the NRC successfully negotiated the tricky business of getting approval from the Northern Power Grid.
I thoroughly recommend the company to anyone looking for a first class and highly experienced team.

Thank you to the N.R.C. once again for another job well done.

King regards,

Pete and Joy Smith.

The company were very efficient in following up my CheckaTrade enquiry with a personal phone call ( more than one in fact ) and showed a genuine desire to help me get the job done. They were equally good at carrying out the job and I cannot fault their service.

The team was professional, efficient, and easy to work with throughout the process. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking

Great service. Such helpful and friendly people. Always good and trusted advice to arrive at the right product for the job. Wish we’d used this company as opposed to a competitor that proved to be wholly unreliable and left us with a mess to sort out!

I initially contacted Northern Renewables for a quote for a solar panel and battery installation, but before going ahead I asked for some advice about a room in our newly purchased house that was noticeably colder than the rest of the property. They arranged for Jamie to visit and carry out a thermal imaging survey. He quickly identified the issue and gave practical, sensible advice on how to resolve it without major work or expense. After a quick trip to a well-known DIY store and fitting a radiator around four times the size, the room now heats perfectly. Without that expert guidance I could easily have wasted a lot of money chasing the wrong solution.
That experience made choosing Northern Renewables for the solar installation an easy decision. Having a knowledgeable, trustworthy local firm mattered to me, and they delivered throughout the whole process.
The installation itself went very smoothly — Tracey and Rachel kept me well informed with scheduling and updates, scaffolding arrived the day before, the system was installed within a day and a half, and Dan took the time to explain everything clearly once it was up and running. The scaffolding was removed promptly afterwards — the whole process felt efficient and well organised.
After running the system for a month (Jan-Feb), it’s clear the specification was spot-on for our usage. The battery capacity feels very well balanced — not oversized and wasteful, but large enough to cover almost everything we use day-to-day. It only really runs down in exceptional circumstances, such as heavy cooking on a poor solar day, and even then we’ve easily adapted by shifting things like washing or dishwashing to the day before or after. It’s genuinely changed how we think about and manage our electricity use.
Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Northern Renewables — knowledgeable, responsive, and professional throughout.

Fantastic company, from Rachel & Tracy in the sales room to the lads fitting everything, what a fantastic bunch, 100% recommend them

Northern Renewables’ team were very professional and accommodating, answering all my queries at the survey before installation of the solar panels and batteries. All work was done on time, cleanly, safely and in budget; the installation crew were great to deal with. There have been no operational issues. I highly recommend this company and would use them again.

Gave them a call and Tracey had two engineers at my door within 24 hours, service carried out by two pros Jamie and Brogan, was so pleased with my experience I’ve already booked up for next years service

Affordably priced, and Solar Panels + Battery were both installed within a week. Friendly staff too. Would definitely recommend

Sorted out a fault on my Mixergy HW tank, competent workforce who knew what they were doing. Dealt with manufacturer to source required part. Great communications and arrived promptly as scheduled. Would definitely recommend and will use again.

Straight forward from the start, really happy with the entire process. From filling the quote out to visiting their showroom, the staff where extremely knowledgeable and helpful, gave me all the information I needed and showed me exactly how much electricity we would be generating each year, even broke it down into specific months.

The engineers came out to install it, all very polite, left no mess behind, and they were in and out faster than I expected.

Couldn't recommened Northern Renewable Center enough.

I recently had a solar and battery system installed, and I couldn't be happier with the all the work they done. The team were incredibly professional from start to finish. They kept me updated and I was always in the loop regarding progress and any minor updates which made the whole experience stress-free.

Once the installation was complete, the team took the time to show me how everything works. They answered all of my questions and I felt completely comfortable and confident in managing my new system.

I highly recommend them for anyone considering solar or any other renewable energy as they have an amazing centre to visit right on the seafront in Redcar which was extremely helpful as I didn’t know anything about solar.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is a company that takes real pride in it's work and everyone we met, both office staff and the installers were careful, prompt, tidy, friendly and competent.
The job turned out to be bigger than first anticipated but they dealt with this with grace and good humour. We feel like we have gained friends.
