I have used this company a few times now, their gear is made with quality materials that are built to last and the fit is always spot on. If you looking for high end quality hiking gear I completely recommend you check them out. You may have to wait a week before you receive your items but this is a Canada based company and delivery is usually free.

There is no rating for this company except for a MINUS 10. I needed to return a pair of slacks. BTW, don’t be fooled into thinking their gear is made in Canada, it’s manufactured in China.
1) email was necessary to request if I could return them. What??
2) days past, NBG (northbound Gear) requested photos!?? Again, What??
3) emailed photos, days past
4) received permission to return slacks
5) boxed them up and went to USPS. $68 and completion of USPS customs paperwork to return $102 slacks.
6) tracking number indicates they received the package on 02/08/2026 at 3:42 pm. It is now 3/18/2026
7) NBG claims it isn’t registered in their returns “yet” even though they acknowledged my tracking number information receiving it on 02/08. WTF 🤬
8) I recommend to AVOID NBG!!!! I can’t prove it’s a scam, but if I see a dog, and it barks like a dog, and 💩 like a dog, I’m pretty certain it’s a dog.

This jacket is nice blend of functionality, rain protection and comfort. I find that this jacket, used as part of a layering system for late winter a very effective for protection from winter winds and temperatures. I often use this jacket for hiking, but ventilation of trapped warm here from backpack straps can lead to sweating. Even with the issue of ventilation, I am still using this jacket as a primary outter shell for all my outdoor adventures Overall 4 stars out of 5

Here’s my update on this company. It took them a month and a half 25 emails they still did nothing about returning my money. I called customer service and the person decided that I better get my money now which I did and now you lost me and a lot of my friends because we found the other side of the company that makes the same stuff just uses a different name and a different style same exact material for less than half the price their other name they go by on Amazon is Postropaky

Great for Deer stalking
Bought some adventure trousers for Deer stalking in the UK, I’m really impressed with them. Love the thickness, really warm for cold conditions in Scotland. I really like that the are elasticated and fleece lined. I will buy these again in future, I prefer them to my Kuiu trousers that are more than double the price and not as durable. The only negative is the postage time to the UK was around 2 weeks.

Absolutely terrible customer service
Absolutely terrible customer service, string you along, delayed responses, and rejected warranty claim is the reason for my bad review. Buyer beware, they dont care about thier customers just want to ship products out the door.

Quality of product poor
Quality of product poor, service also poor. Bought a pair of adventure pants. Initial impression was good, if quite loose on the waist, but that's what belts are for. They didn't last very long before the outer started detaching itself from the inner material. Also they are advertised as water resistant. Initially they will resist the water being poured over them test as in the videos, but that doesn't last long. Even then when new, they will quickly soak through in a rain shower. This gets worse and worse and after 10 wears, they are pretty much a sponge and it's better wearing almost anything else. I tried reproofing and that didn't help. I did contact Northboungear, but the response was that the pants had been washed and worn so they couldn't help. Silly me buying trousers to wear them instead of framing them and putting them up on the wall.
Edit based on reply: I didn’t expect gore tex, but after about 3 wears these just absorb water. Jeans are better. I didn’t expect gore reach out and they didn’t try and help, just got fobbed off. Buy some off AliExpress instead

Just to clarify, the adventure pants are water-resistant, not fully waterproof, so they can handle light moisture but aren’t designed to stay dry in heavy rain over time. That said, I completely understand your concerns about the wear issues you’ve described—it shouldn’t feel like a “sponge” after only a few wears.

Absoluted disgusting company to deal with
Ordered a pair of trousers on Nov 29 fit was so bad arranged to return at a cost of £23. Received tracking number from R Mail. The item arrived in Canada on 18th December an attempt to deliver was made on Dec 18th. Tracking says No Answer and note left stating item avaialable for collection or contact to arrange redelivery. After 5 or 6 messages via contact page I keep being fobbed off with "we look into this". This sham company know my item is ready for collection and no advice regarding my refund. AVOID

We purchased a pair of pants and the arrived on time. The quality was very poor so we returned them. It has been 7 weeks and still no refund even though every week we get an assurance that the refund is being processed.... this is a total scam site, run from a garage in Ontario...no warehouse or even a business address....just a UPS drop off box...a total scam....avoid.

Poor Customer Service…
I purchased a pair of the Adventure Trousers, it took weeks for them to be delivered and had to chase them. When they eventually arrived I was very pleased with the product, so much so I thought I would purchase two additional pairs as Christmas presents for a friend and as part of their Black Friday Promotion. They failed to honour the promotion and when I tried to place the order they were at full price, I have sent several email requesting they honoured the promotion but response to date from Customer Service has been poor.

Northbound Gear Adventure trousers and belt
I ordered a pair of the Adventure trousers and belt after reading several reviews on YouTube and the Internet. I ride a recumbent trike and walk our dogs so I've been looking for a pair of rugged, warm and comfortable trousers to cover both. Other trousers I've bought have been very lightweight and usually too tight even with the largest size and have worn out within a very short period of time ie a few months. I ordered the belt as extra security for when I lose a bit of weight. The price of £88 (discounted from over £130) may sound a lot but in comparison to what I've seen elsewhere that is a very reasonable price. They are very comfortable and warm with a good fit and some give thanks to the elasticity of the material which is of a very high quality and heavy duty. I've been walking and out riding my recumbent trike and they are fantastic. There was some confusion over the tracking link that I was sent but I emailed their customer service and it was resolved in a few hours. I have since ordered another pair in camouflage pattern

My first impression:
I have been an outdoor writer/photographer for over 30years here in Canada. Over that time, I have had the pleasure of testing, promoting and writing reviews for all kinds of outdoor products, from fishing products to hunting products and apparel to safety kits for the outdoorsman/woman.
During that time I've found and featured products that met the description of same. Some of those products worked well as intended, while others just worked well at attracting consumers.
It is, in my humble opinion, that I can write (and am pleased to) with all the conviction and commitment I can muster, your 'adventure pants and cap' not only met product expectations in the outdoors but exceeded them thoroughly. The pants were a great fit. They were warm and dry, even in a heavy wind and rain soaked photo excursion.
There was no hindrance of movement or riding-up of the pant legs. The material for knee protection proved to be a blessing while kneeling on soaked grass/stone. Your extra, zippered pockets kept wiping cloths dry and within reach for cleaning camera lenses. The 'N' cap kept the rain off my weathered head and camera while shooting.
I believe it's time for another pair and a look at a winter jacket that would come in handy during our -20F winters that last for 4-5 months.

Took far too long to recieve my order. Order shipped from China from this "Canadian" company. Once I finally did recieve my order it was underwhelming for the price.
I did find the identical pants on temu, I ordered the temu pants to compare and they are indeed identical. Don't waste your money.

I took advantage of a special offer knowing that ordering on line can be risky as it pertains to size and getting what you think you are paying for. These are exactly the kind of quality I've been shopping all over for. The exact same materials as the more extreme priced brands in the outdoor markets. Bought a pair of their trousers and within 45 days the zip on the rear pocket came away. Considering how expensive they are I would have thought they would have lasted longer that that. Think twice about buying them as in my experience the quality had gone downhill since I bought some about 3 years agow
