Misrepresentation to Buyers

I ordered Nordic socks for delivery at a site seemingly based in the UK on 11 December. The items were shipped on 15 December with a Royal Mail Tracked 48 tracking number. No items arrived. I requested a status update and they stated that the mail system is delayed because of volume (but I’ve had no issues with any other orders nor has Royal Mail stated any issues with delivery). They also said it would take 6-16 business days to arrive, while on their website, the stated 6-16 days for delivery are for orders to CA, AU, and NZ, not European countries.

Doing more research on the company they vaguely state that their socks are produced in Europe and that they will not pay for any returns. Customer who bought socks from other companies in previous years (nordicsocks.uk and theNordicsocks.com) had similar experiences and I suspect this is the same company, rebranded.

Unfortunately this means their customers who thought they were purchasing from the UK will now has to pay double the cost to return the items with international shipping.

The company can improve by clearly stating the exact address where the items are shipping from and being produced. Furthermore, if they believe in the quality of their product, they should offer paid returns, otherwise it appears skeptical that they are legitimate.
