NopCommercePlus developer for…
NopCommercePlus developer for NopCommerce
Do not use this vendor to build a new NopCommerce website. We selected NopCommercePlus to build our website and add custom features that we had on our old BV Commerce website. The website was launched on July 9, 2024. The migration was terrible, and many features did not work at all, and our sales decreased by 65% compared to the previous monthly sales. Customers could not login or create a new account, thus many repeat and new customers could not place orders. The photos that were transferred from the old website had a lower resolution, and they migrated the photos to a higher DPI, causing all photos to appear blurry on the new website. The vendor owed us $250 for hosting our website for the last month and has never paid us to date, though we requested a refund many times. We had to hire a new NopCommerce developer to fix all the problems that we had with NopCommercePlus, as they never completed the build or finished the custom features that we paid for. The website never worked properly. To date, it has cost us over $2,500 to have the new developer fix the problems. The owner of NopCommercePlus threatened to post negative reviews about us if we posted negative reviews about their incompetent work. They promised to fix all the problems since January 2025, but months and months went by, and the problems were never fixed. I would rate this vendor at 1 out of 10. If you need a reliable, good developer for NopCommerce, you can contact us, and we will provide you with the contact info.
A very solid & complete solution.
A very solid & complete solution, but to less documentation to complete custom plugins. Also avoid using the badly generated api that they sell incomplete for almost 1000$ without support.

I would like to pay respect nopCommerce…
I would like to pay respect nopCommerce for being an Enterprise eCommerce platform that is free. Our developers' team use this software for 5 years already for developing various solutions. It is quite a serious competitor compared to paid solutions.
Recently, we have finished developing a store on nopCommerce for a large wholesale company. We had been working on this project for the last 8 months. The client was fully satisfied and so were we.
I definitely recommend nopCommerce.
Good choice for B2B websites
We've been using nopCommerce for running a B2B eCommerce portal. Flexibility and scalability are among the best features as the platform can easily adapt to different types of product catalogs, checkout workflows, CRM and ERP integrations.
The core development team receives feedback and make the required adjustments based on it.
A new version is released each year and utilizes the latest Microsoft .NET technologies.
Though, there could be more plugins and themes. Technical support comes at an additional price.
This is a Russian made platform
This is a Russian made platform, the main developers are Russian citizens, they state being from Armenia lately.
The software has default settings cross-linked to yandex.ru (a Russian attempt to be an alternative for google with similar functionality, a company intricately interwoven with the FSB, the Russian Secret Service. For proof look up the phrase 'yandex.ru' in their source code)
If you don't want your business data get into hands of Putin, stay away from this software.
Update on 10/14/2020:
I received an angry reply from the developers, three main topics are mentioned in their letter.
1. they insist that their company registration is indeed in Armenia
2. acknowledge that the software contains links to the yandex.ru search robot server
3. claim that my view is malicious and a foul play by some of their competitors
My point of view to these:
1. I don't care about their new company registration (there are dozens of other places where they can do it), it does not change the fact that the developers are Russian citizens only trying to hide it.
2. I still don't want my or my customers' any internet data, like IP addresses, domains visited, URL parameters (including articles bought or interested in) to get into the hands of Putin's regime. Why is not their reply that they changed/took out these dubious links? or at least working on it? If the developers themselves claim to have distanced themselves from the Russian regime, why do they think it is still OK to expose their customers to a .ru based search engine and the FSB database and intelligence service?
3. Come on guys, you're trying to distance yourself from Putin with an exact example of Putin's rhetoric?

One of the best open-source eCommerce…
One of the best open-source eCommerce platforms. User friendly, clean, modular, easy to extend & an excellently active community have taken the platform to next level for both Store owners & developers.
Plugins are not good
This is a bit of an unfair review in a way as the basic system is actually good. But my experience with the plugins has been terrible.
I am now leaving this bad review because after trying to leave negative but honest reviews on their market place Nopcommerce just keep deleting them so it is impossible to let people know how bad some of the service and product are that they promote on their website.
I have been using Nopcommerce for 5 years and the plugins have been, in general, an expensive mistake. Many don't work. If there is a Nopcommerce revision to fix bugs or improve the system, you can't upgrade because some plugin makers want you to pay IN FULL again.
If you just want the basic system then it's fine. It is very USA based, for example the included shipping plugins do not have the correct products for the UK
The best Asp.net open source e-commerce
By far the best Asp.net open source e-commerce out there and one of the best in general.
Very fast, pluggable, easy to install.
Working well for my small customers
I am using this platform for small customers, and it is working pretty well for me.
I am IT Engineer, luckily that I have some programming skill, I can save some money. Some knowledge about coding is a big advantage to use this platform.
Very well designed eCommerce platform.
Very well designed eCommerce platform.
If you have a dotnet background then you will find this very easy to understand the code, and to work with and extend.
I would say it is an excellent choice for someone with a technical background who is comfortable developing and deploying dotnet websites.
This gives you a very nice framework as a starting point to build a comprehensive ecom platform on top of.
Being honest, if you are not a proficient dotnet developer then you might struggle because the documentation and forums are not the best; they are littered with unanswered posts from people with little technical expertise who are attempting to develop and maintain their own website.
If this is you then you may be better working with a partner or looking for a fully hosted platform like shopify.
Well-structured and stable platform
Well-structured and stable platform. We’ve been working with it for a few years already. I can compare: before that, our company made the projects on a well-known PHP platform, and when developing a relatively complex store, we always faced performance and customization issues because of the platform’s bulky architecture. As a result, both our clients and we were unhappy. We were looking for a replacement option for a long time, then finally chose nopCommerce, and have no regrets about it.
The previous review amused me a lot, by the way. If someone can’t set up server updates properly, without crashing the site’s work, since when it is a problem of the platform, and not a particular worker? We have no such problems with our sites. The same for bugs. Actually, it’s very frustrating when inexperienced developers start to blame everyone except themselves, especially when they start writing negative things about really great and also free, open-source projects with a huge community around the world like nopCommerce.
Nopcommerce may be a good platform
Nopcommerce may be a good platform. It is not free. To download and install is free. However, you must display a powered by NopCommerce link on every page in the same format and style you would place emphasis with your store and content listings.
We learned that customers are more reluctant to purchase from a store that can be opened and created by a third party vendor from Russia. The PCI Compliance is not necessarily out of box. Our PCI Compliance with this product is less than secure and we have had to make many fixes to correct the constant errors with this platform. The site crashes whenever Windows performs an update since the product is best hosted on Windows Server. Between the buggy software and expensive plugins, we have learned the hard way about the expense Nopcommerce does not offer for a steady online business. Many glitches and very buggy. Your customers will not refresh the page just to check out when the bugs randomly occur. The error logs associated with Nopcommerce do not represent the true errors when your site is experiences issues. Therefore, regular testing is a must, I mean at least twice a week.
We have spent thousands of dollars with Nopcommerce and Nopcommerce vendors. They lack support! Every time there is an issue we never get a response. Even though we have purchased annual support packages, they either ignore the simple response or do not have an answer. We manage to fix every problem they have without their continued annual support. Thing is, when you are an online business and you rely on a platform such as Nopcommerce, when you purchase annual support plans with your plugin and themes and spend thousands of dollars every year just to have the insurance the product will function, don't trust Nopcommerce to follow up with any support request.
Go with a more stable open source product that is not so much as concerned with funding and more on a open source product that maintains performance and stability. This product is very buggy.
Good Framework but expensive with plugins
NopCommernce is good platform but plugins are costly as compare to open source platforms. So enhancements most of the time become costly.
This platform is very fast and flexible.
