This is the third time that due to CareADHD's complete incompetence I have missed being allocated medication. This has left me distraught, anxious and wondering how will I cope.
For example, they don't call or follow up with the titration calls. Worse, this week I was promised a follow up email and a new prescription. NOTHING. I've now run out of meds again and will be following up with a formal complaint.

I get very clear reminders of appointments.
The clinician is very patient with me and doesn’t make me feel uncomfortable
Very easy to book an assessment, lots of appointment time options to choose from, everything happened as they said it would.
Great, prompt communications. Very sensitive and personable assessor. Quick feedback from the assessment and suggestions for how to manage during the wait for the next step/titration. I just wish this could be sooner. But thank you
After being on the waiting list for over 2 years through NHS I’ve asked my GP for the right to chose and been put on a waiting list with CARE ADHD for my assessment, which was much shorter to do online assessment request, and was done within weeks! That gave me hope . However no one showed up for my scheduled appointment! Which was very confusing.
Since I am struggling already with perimenopausal symptoms, having HRT in place to manage my symptoms and being overwhelmed tremendously, I’ve taken time before requesting another appointment. I was delt fairly quickly and received apologies for the error. Which again gave me hope for much needed care as at this point I don’t need only diagnosis, I need medication to help me with focus and to be able to carry on with life.
I have received my diagnosis and been told this will be shared with my GP. I was asked if I would consider medication which I’ve confirmed.
I wasn’t advised what to do and how to approach titration though . I went to my GP who said I have shared care created in place indeed, but I need to as them for medication. Again with me already struggling to cope , function and stay on the top of my daily task I’ve taken time to ask to be referred for medication assessment. Everything at this point is so overwhelming to me . I have done that request over 4 weeks ago and being put in the que, which says it takes over 5 months for that appointment to happen in some cases 9 months! I am in daily paralysis, avoiding most tasks and able to do very little throughout each day and yet I burn out very quickly, I am a single mum who is unable to provide care to special need child because of my state of mind and my daily struggle and being told that medication which I believe is crucial in my daily life ,is going to take months to be reviewed! My daughter has anxiety,ADHD annd anwiti autism assessment and is needing my care, support but I can’t get care for myself to be able to help her and my other child, and meet my children needs. It’s very difficult to cope knowing that you are struggling daily for years now and not receiving needed help. Not knowing where else to turn to get help in the form on medication. Never felt left so hopeless in my life as I feel now at age 45 , struggling to make through each day and not knowing when I’ll receive help.

The ADHD assessment service was very professional and well-organized. The team was knowledgeable, patient, and made the whole process clear and comfortable from start to finish. I felt properly listened to and supported throughout. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking an ADHD assessment.

Really quick process, clinician was really lovely, explained everything clearly overall great experience
Care ADHD initially seemed to be a great choice. I completed forms at the start of January, received a prompt response, and had my assessment and diagnosis in February. At the point of selecting this provider, the advertised wait time for titration was upto 15 weeks. I later received an email stating titration would begin between April and July. Although this was outside the original advertised timeframe, I appreciated receiving an update at that point.
However, fast forward 8 months post-diagnosis, and I am still waiting to understand when titration will actually begin. There appears to be a total reluctance to acknowledge inaccurate wait-time advertising or incorrect information, alongside a complete lack of urgency to support individuals clearly struggling with their mental health which is the entire reason for seeking an assessment in the first place.
I raised a formal complaint, which was essentially dismissed (despite them acknowledging that my previous requests for updates had been ignored). Last week, I finally received an email asking for my availability this week to discuss titration, which I provided immediately. It is now Thursday, and once again, I have received no response and have no idea when titration will begin, despite chasing up.
It is alarming that a healthcare provider with specialist knowledge of ADHD leaves vulnerable people struggling without support for months. It feels as though the initial assessment stage is rushed through to secure patients and NHS funding before leaving them stranded awaiting titration, when switching providers would mean starting the entire waiting process over again. I am now on the verge of escalating this matter directly to the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman.
If you are at the start of your journey with Care ADHD, prepare for a long wait for treatment. For anyone currently searching for a provider, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

I had an ADHD assessment today through Care ADHD with assessor Allan Terwane, and could not be happier with the experience. Allan was absolutely fantastic. I received a late diagnosis of ADHD combined presentation at 50 years old. Turnaround from the start of referral was speedy and professional.
Allan conducted the assessment with the utmost respect, patience, and understanding, making me feel completely heard and validated after all these years. Getting a clear answer at this stage in life is life-changing, and Allan made the entire process incredibly supportive and comfortable. Highly recommended.

The non-clinical, informal and conversational nature of the assessment put me at ease. It also helped that my assessor understood and attempted to empathise with my cultural context.

Shocking treatment. No follow up after requesting I make a complaint verbally as a reasonable adjustment. No good if you also have autism. Staff don't care.
I can't believe the reply on here is to double down on the discrimination.

I've been waiting over 7 months to start titration, ive filled in all the forms, answered all the questions now only to be told it should be in the next couple of months. Originally I was told it would be 3 months from assessment to start now it will be at some point maybe by Christmas. Care ADHD more like Care Less ADHD. I would recommend EVERYONE avoid these guys like the plague. Don't bother waisting your time with these idiots!

Very poor service and not worth the hassle it’s well worth looking elsewhere

I wish I had written down the name of the clinician who assessed me so I could thank her properly—though in my defence, I was being assessed for ADHD, so I have a valid excuse! I think her name may have been Suzzet (or Suzette), but I’m not entirely sure.
The entire process ran seamlessly. Only a few days passed between completing my forms and receiving the invitation to book, and the final report arrived just a couple of days after the assessment itself.
I was expecting the session to be overwhelming, but it wasn't at all. She was wonderfully thorough and explained every step of the process—and what would happen next—in a clear, reassuring manner.
If her name was indeed Suzzet, please pass along my sincere thanks to her for making what could have been a stressful experience so supportive.
