Outstanding NOMOS customer service — fast, thoughtful warranty support

I recently bought a NOMOS Club Sport neomatik Worldtimer Grid through Watches of Switzerland after being on the waiting list for around 4–5 months. When WOS emailed to say one had arrived, I replied immediately and the watch was with me within a couple of days.

Unfortunately, on arrival I noticed the seconds hand had come off and was floating freely inside the watch. After checking the photos WOS had sent before dispatch, it looked like the issue was already present prior to delivery (so not something that happened in transit).

I called Watches of Switzerland straight away and they were helpful and proactive, arranging for the watch to be returned so it could go for a warranty repair with NOMOS.

This is where NOMOS really impressed me. Their team were clear, responsive, and reassuring throughout the process. They kept communication straightforward and timely, and as a thoughtful apology for the inconvenience they also sent me a free fabric strap.

The watch was returned to me in about six weeks, which I think is an excellent turnaround considering it had to go back to the factory in Germany. The watch is now perfect — and it’s genuinely stunning.

I’m really grateful to both NOMOS for the superb customer care and Watches of Switzerland for staying on top of the return and ensuring my experience wasn’t tarnished. I have only good things to say about NOMOS, and I’ll definitely be purchasing another one in the future.

Many thanks.

Avoid not quality

Bought nomos metro datum, had to go back as stopped working, that was done under warranty, then had to go back as stopped working after I got caught in the rain....shocking, then the strap broke, ordered a strap...there is only one choice of strap for this model, waiting time 5 months, cost £100 ...so I ordered the strap. It arrived....it is not supplied with the pins, you can't use existing pi s as the strap doesn't fit the pins.....avoid avoid avoid.....nobody to speak to about it.

How is it possible that Nomos has only…

How is it possible that Nomos has only 3 stars?

Nomos, aside from making truly stunning watches at a price point far below what they could charge, has some of the best customer service available in the horology industry.

I wrote them asking about a special edition watch, a watch that I KNEW was all sold out everywhere...and they literally rummaged through drawers in the workshop to see if they had missed one. They found me the last watch and I was able to purchase it and pay for it over a year with no additional interest.

Absolutely an above and beyond company and should be a strong consideration for your first or last watch, if you admire bauhaus design philosophy

Less is More - The Beauty of NOMOS

I got my first NOMOS watch in 2017, and now I proudly own 6 in total. They are not only beautiful and fulfill all I need in terms of understating, minimalistic Bauhaus design, either sporty with the Club or classy casual with the Tangente, but also offer great wearability and accuracy. The team at NOMOS has always been fantastic whenever I’ve needed support. Once, they even helped me find a model that had just been discontinued and wasn’t available in their store anymore – I really appreciated that! Plus, the fact that they offer full in-house movements at such a competitive price is impressive. I own watches from various brands, but if I had to choose just one to keep, it would definitely be a NOMOS.

These watches are abysmal

These watches are abysmal. Mine has been back to Nomos three times due its appalling accuracy, It gains minutes overnight, on one occasion it gained 5 minutes in one day, and Nomos were, to put it blunty, rude and dismissive despite my recording all of the issues I have had. As a test I have recently worn it for the first time in about a year and the accuracy is as awful as it was previously. Do yourself a huge favour and buy a Swiss or Japanese watch.

Avoid Nomos like the plague.

Poor quality watches

Poor quality watches. At more than €3000 my Ahoi neomatik has never been accurate and even stopped working before 2 years. After a 3 month repair it runs now +10 minutes fast/ month. Very frustrating customer service in Germany.

Lovely watch, shame about the service

I bought a NOMOS Tangente watch 5 years ago. It is a lovely design and keeps time well. 2 snags: i) the Cordovan leather straps are poorly made (feeble stitching) and at £80 each are expensive to replace; and ii) getting it serviced takes AGES - so be prepared to live without it for eight to ten weeks if, like me, you unfortunately drop it and need to have the glass replaced.
