Middle Eastern Feast 5*

Delicious meal. So good and full of flavour. Fed 3 of us royally. Mushroom shawarma, fluffy chewy pitta - hands down the best gf bread EVER, and pomegranate polenta cakes were the highlights but it was all great. All the sauces such a luxe addition. Will be very very back. (NFC chicken meal next)

Delicious and So. Much. Food!!

I ordered the 'NFC Bucket' for 2-3 people. I optimistically joked with my partner about how there was no way it was going to feed the two of us, much less a third person. I was wrong!
The box contained SO much food-- we have leftovers! LOTS of leftovers! (no complaints from me about that!)

Everything arrived in a box with ice packets, and we chose to put it all in the fridge as we wanted it for dinner that evening.
Food was in foil trays with film coverings, and sauces were in little plastic tubs. Very convenient!

Preparing it was very simple-- everything uses the same temperature, and we just staggered the starting times for the dishes due to the cooking durations.
(the beans didn't have any cooking instructions, though-- so we went with the microwave)

My only feedback here is that we had to leave everything in a little longer as it didn't all feel 'hot', and we chose to move the chips and mozzarella sticks to a baking sheet to help them crisp up more, as they were still a little soft after the recommended cooking time in their foil trays.

Mozzarella sticks: good, but needed to be eaten with the included dips. By themselves, they were a little bland. There were 10 in the tray, so a very generous portion!
Popcorn Chicken: delicious both with and without dips. My partner dug out some bbq sauce and loved that with the chicken.
Corn: corn is corn? But it reheated well and was still crunchy. Two cobs, so if you wanted this meal for three people, it would have been a little awkward.
Chips: seasoning was very nice, although we felt it needed salt (but that's actually a good thing! Always easier to add salt than deal with too salty chips!) Again, we chose to spread on a baking tray to cook longer, as the 20-25 mins in the foil tray wasn't enough time to get them crispy.
Beans: reheated in microwave, as there were no instructions on the label. Tasted very nice!
Coleslaw: good flavour, but very wet. Lots of extra liquid in the tub.
Chicken gravy: This was the only thing we didn't like. It was just 'meh' compared to the rest of the meal and didn't add anything.
NFC main course: heaven! Crispy breading, fantastic seasoning. Not as good as eating at Niche directly-- but this was as close as I could imagine!
Cookie sandwich dessert: If everything else had been terrible, this dessert would have made me say 'this was worth it'. If you've ever had an American 'cookie cake' (gluten-filled, but something I had in my childhood), these tasted exactly like that. Creamy frosting smooshed between soft cookies with generous amounts of chocolate chunks. And more frosting drizzled on top. Actual pure bliss, and I want more. Lots more.

Sauces: all the sauces were good, although they separated quickly. We kept a chopstick on hand to stir them frequently. The best one by far was the garlic sauce.

Our order also included a small gift of rocky road bars, which were devoured in seconds.
I hope Nice does a cookbook someday and includes those and the cookie sandwiches...!

Overall, amazing food and a delicious meal! I will still always prefer eating out at Niche directly, but this is definitely something I'll go for again in the future!
