  1. Internet Service Provider

Written by the company

NiceNIC is an ICANN-accredited domain registrar providing domain services since 2006. As a registrar, our role is to manage domain registrations, support transfers, and follow ICANN and registry policies, especially in areas such as abuse handling and domain compliance. Domain-related services often involve multiple parties, such as registrars, hosting providers, website operators, and third-party reporters, and the differences between these roles are not always clear to customers. Some experiences described in reviews may involve website content, hosting environments, or server-side issues rather than the domain registration service itself. We continuously work to improve response times, clarify processes, and provide better support experiences for our customers. NiceNIC supports individuals, businesses, and resellers managing domains across 2,500+ extensions, with a focus on transparency, stability, and long-term domain ownership. If you have questions or need assistance, our team is always available to help.

Nicenic promotes drug trafficking on its domains.

I want to share my negative experience with Nicenic. Unfortunately, the company ignores the serious problems associated with the sale of drugs on their platform. I have repeatedly sent complaints about domains that engage in this illegal activity, but unfortunately there has been no response.
This is of great concern, as such actions pose a threat to the safety of users and society as a whole. I was hoping for Nicenic to take a more responsible attitude towards such issues, but it seems they are not ready to take action.
I urge everyone to be careful and not remain indifferent to such situations. I hope that the company will finally pay attention to these problems and begin to act.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We understand why repeated reports without a clear outcome would leave you with a very negative impression.

NiceNIC does not support illegal activity, including the use of domains for drug-related abuse or other unlawful purposes. Reports of this nature are taken seriously and are not treated as unimportant.

At the same time, registrar-level action must be based on what can be verified at the domain level and on the actions available to a registrar in the specific case. That said, if your experience was that you repeatedly reported these domains and received no meaningful response, we understand why that would feel unacceptable.

We are sorry that this was your impression of our handling. If you are willing, please share one of your report references with us directly so we can review the case again and better understand what happened in the communication and assessment process.

Hello Jaden,

Thank you for sharing your concerns.

We want to respond clearly to the main point in your review: NiceNIC does not allow or support scams and fraud.

At the same time, we understand that if abuse reporting feels ineffective, unclear, or does not lead to the outcome a reporter expects, it can create a very negative impression of the registrar. We understand why you feel strongly about that.

Abuse reports are reviewed through our internal process, and actions are taken where appropriate at the domain level. That process may not always be visible from the outside, but it should never be understood as support for abusive activity.

If you have reported specific domains and believe they were not handled properly, please share the relevant domain names, report dates, or reference details, and we will be glad to arrange a further review.

Thank you again for raising this.

Facilitates cyber crime - AVOID!

First of all, all the recent 5 star reviews are clearly fake! From Russia etc, do you really think people are that stupid!?

All the 1 star reviews stating that they do not act on abuse complaints are all TRUE, Nicenic actively facilitate fraud!

I reported (ticket number: #514550) a scam site selling "cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and ketamine." - this was obviously a scam site. So I said:

"This domain is advertising the sale of illegal controlled substances, including cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and ketamine. The sale and distribution of these substances are illegal in most jurisdictions and violate Nicenic’s Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits using registered domains for unlawful activities, including the promotion or sale of illegal drugs.

Additionally, websites of this type are frequently used for advance?fee fraud schemes, where victims are asked to pay for products that do not exist. The site provides no verifiable business information, no legitimate contact details, and appears designed to solicit payment for illegal goods without any intention of fulfillment. This constitutes deceptive and fraudulent activity, which is also prohibited under Nicenic’s AUP.

I am reporting this domain because it is being used to facilitate illegal drug sales and fraudulent commercial activity in violation of Nicenic’s policies"

and they came back with their standard:

"After reviewing the materials submitted, we regret to inform you that the information currently available remains insufficient for NiceNIC to verify the reported issue or to determine whether the activity falls within the scope of actionable DNS abuse under ICANN policies.

To proceed further, any additional submission must include clear, specific, and verifiable evidence directly linking the reported domain to the alleged activity. General descriptions, unsupported assertions, or indirect references are not sufficient for reassessment.

If materially new and relevant evidence becomes available, you may reply to this email with the updated information for our review. Otherwise, no further action will be taken on this report at this time.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Kind regards,

You only have to research Nicenic (google - "NiceNIC Exposed: The ICANN Registrar Powering Global Cybercrime" and find that they are in collaboration with Russian cyber criminals, through newsletters they state which are bulletproof domains, and actively work with cybercriminals

Any reply to this review will by lies by Nicenic, but all you have to do is look at the 1 star reviews and research them and you'll find the TRUTH!

So if you're cyber criminal, use Nicenic because your domain won't ever get suspended, since they blatantly facilitate fraud and crime.

Hello,

We’re sorry to hear about your experience — what you described does sound concerning.

A website redirecting unexpectedly after payment, missing order details, and no delivery or refund are all clear warning signs of a potentially fraudulent site.

NiceNIC does not support scam websites. If a domain is found to be used for this kind of activity, it will be reviewed and appropriate action is taken.

If you can share the domain name involved, we will check it again as a priority.

NiceNIC Facilitating Cybercrime via Deliberate Delay Tactics

This is an official statement from Kryptonsafe Solutions (HK) regarding NiceNIC’s systematic failure to mitigate high-level crypto financial fraud.

Our security analysts, along with several partner firms, have provided NiceNIC with irrefutable forensic evidence regarding a cluster of malicious phishing domains: app-blazeswap.com, app-kineticmarket.com, and usdt0.today.

Despite receiving clear proof of "CryptoGrab" malware and financial theft affecting Hong Kong and US residents, NiceNIC’s compliance team continues to employ intentional stalling tactics. They are currently demanding "one-by-one" reports for a coordinated criminal infrastructure—a classic bureaucratic maneuver designed to keep malicious domains active for as long as possible.

NiceNIC is now on notice: Your refusal to act on actionable intelligence makes you a facilitator of these crimes. If the aforementioned domains are not permanently suspended within 24 hours, Kryptonsafe will initiate a collective legal action. We are prepared to submit our consolidated evidence and a formal complaint of gross negligence and "Breach of Registrar Accreditation Agreement" to:

Hong Kong Police Force - Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB).

Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team (HKCERT).

ICANN Compliance Department.

We will not tolerate the deliberate protection of cyber-syndicates at the expense of innocent victims. Take immediate action or face the regulatory consequences in the Hong Kong SAR jurisdiction.

Hello,

Thank you for posting this. We understand the seriousness of reports involving alleged financial phishing and the concern about potential harm to victims.

To address the main point directly: requests for domain-specific details are not made to delay action. They are made because registrar-level decisions must be based on verifiable facts for each domain, the current status of the reported activity, and the scope of action available to a registrar in that case.

A grouped report may indicate a broader pattern, but that does not mean every domain can be treated as permanently suspendable on the same timeline without review. A demand for suspension within 24 hours is also not, by itself, the standard that determines registrar action.

NiceNIC does not protect cybercrime, and reports are not dismissed simply because they involve multiple domains or coordinated allegations. At the same time, we do not treat a domain as resolved or permanently suspend it based only on an assertion, a deadline, or a threat of escalation. The decision must follow a review of the evidence and the applicable obligations.

We understand why this process may feel too slow from the outside, especially in urgent cases. If you are willing, please share the relevant case references with us directly. We are prepared to review the handling again and provide a clearer explanation of what was assessed and why.

Kind regards,

Hosting criminal activity

Filthy rogue outfit who openly & persistently host stealing Bitcoin mining scam rackets, despite numerous take down notices having been issued. Obviously this is a criminal supporting nefarious company never to be trusted.

*Update for April 2026*
These scoundrels tried to flag my review as being allegedly false resulting in an attempted removal. Having submitted all proofs of their skulduggery to Trustpilot, Nicenic can no longer try to conceal their criminal content hosting practices. This company failed to even reach out to me so I could verify their wrongdoing. This just proves they have about as much integrity as a burglar, being deceitful to the core, while maintaining to be up to their necks in consistently facilitating hosting of covert criminal asset theft content. The FBI IC3 Internet Crime Division have been made fully aware of this company aiding & abetting criminal activity through hosting such.

Serious Concerns Regarding NICENIC’s Failure to Address Illegal Drug-Related Domains

There is a serious concern that the registrar NICENIC continues to allow domains involved in the illegal sale of narcotics (including mephedrone, amphetamine, cocaine, PVP, ecstasy, and others) to remain active despite repeated reports and substantial evidence.

Such inaction raises serious questions about compliance with registrar obligations and demonstrates a lack of due diligence in addressing clearly documented illegal activity.

Hello Olga,

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We understand why this would be deeply concerning, especially if you submitted repeated reports and felt that the evidence provided did not lead to the outcome you expected.

Reports involving alleged illegal drug-related activity are treated seriously. At the same time, decisions at the registrar level cannot be based on the seriousness of the allegation alone. They must follow a review process that considers the evidence submitted, the current status of the domain, the consistency of the findings, and the actions that are actually available within a registrar’s scope.

We understand that, from a reporter’s perspective, this can feel like inaction when a domain remains active. However, remaining active does not automatically mean that a report was ignored or left unreviewed. In some cases, additional verification or coordination beyond the registrar level may also be involved before further action can be taken.

That said, we do understand your concern that repeated reports should be met with clearer communication and a more understandable explanation of the outcome. If that did not happen here, we understand why the experience felt unsatisfactory.

If you are willing, please share the related domain names, report dates, or any reference details from your previous submissions, and our team will review the matter again carefully.

Thank you again for raising this.

Hello Robert,

Thank you for taking the time to share this. We can see from your message that this has been ongoing for some time, and that you have submitted multiple reports over the past two months. We understand how frustrating that must feel.

You mentioned that you provided what you consider to be government-level evidence, yet did not see the outcome you expected. We would like to clarify that, in abuse handling, decisions cannot be based solely on how strong a report appears from one side. Each case still requires verification, consistency checks, and alignment with the actions that are technically and contractually available at the registrar level.

This can sometimes create a gap between what a reporter expects (for example, immediate takedown) and what a registrar is able to do directly, especially when website content is hosted or controlled outside of the domain itself.

We also want to address your concern that this results in the platform being “full of scam sites.” We do not support fraudulent activity, and reports are reviewed continuously. However, the role of a registrar is limited to specific actions on the domain level, rather than full control over website content or services operating elsewhere.

That said, we do take your experience seriously — particularly the point that repeated reports may have felt unanswered or unresolved. If you are open to it, we would really value the opportunity to look into the specific cases again with more context.

Please feel free to share any domain names, report dates, or reference details from your previous submissions, and we will review them carefully.

Thank you again for raising this.

Registrar riddled with Fraud, Phishing, and Malicious sites

I too, an independent security researcher who focuses on phishing, I agree with all other 1 star reviews. About 40 to 50 % of the phishing sites I analyze are registered with this Registrar. This simply cannot be a coincidence. It's statistically impossible... How is a Registrar not privy to this? How can, after several months or even years of massive amounts of abuse reports being sent, can they still not be privy to this? This is where I can only assume that this particular Registrar is complicit. That being said, they are now ignoring abuse reports again. For a short time they appeared to be minimally reactive to the reports, but now their minimal efforts have subsided once again. I suggest to all like minded individuals to report this Registrar, and every single one like them, to ICANN. Save your email chains, and take screenshots as evidence. Only then will these practices be stopped.
