Bullies!!

Bullies!!

When you cancel a Nexus Networking, you're told you need to cancel via their web form. But that form clearly doesn't go anywhere.

Even after I had paid the fee for cancelling. In my case £200 because I had left 2 months before my 12th month. I was (and am) still receiving invoices monthly. They now have their credit control company contacting me daily to reclaim £700 for outstanding invoices that shouldn't even exist.

On top of all of this, I raised a dispute with them because their contract stated that I was able to continue using their services during the 2 month cancellation period. Yet just after their next meeting (which I did not attend), which was about 2 weeks after I cancelled, they removed me from their dedicated members only WhatsApp group. Although not listed in their terms and conditions, this is an implied service and should have been upheld within the agreement as being able to use for the duration of the cancellation.

On top of this!! When challenged about this being an implied service, they decide to change their terms and quote the change back to me as if it was part of the original terms that I had signed. They then requested that I pay £350 cancellation because their terms also stated a 3 month cancellation. This was in fact also changed at an earlier date, just after I had joined. When asking current and past members if they were aware of the changes made. None of them were made aware that they were now a member under those new terms.

As the terms and conditions are purely web based, it's very easy to change without notice. And given that one of their main directors also runs the web design business that controls and hosts the website, it's even easier. Oh yeah, and the credit control company that are now harassing me for £700 is also owned by the same person. That person is Danny Dean Nevill, someone who holds approximately 48 appointments on Companies House and many of them named slightly different names. Curious as to the tax implications on this.
