No login access, and no response to emails. SOLVED!!
I had a very frustrating time trying to gain access to my Next Up Comedy account after they upgraded their systems. No emails came through for resetting my password (apparently there is some issue with some yahoo email addresses) and the 'contact us' links merely opened the Opera browser on a search page. After many weeks/months I found a way to contact customer support from the Opera browser from their link. (I had to actually sign into the browser)
I am happy to say that despite having been quite annoyed at the situation the customer service at Next Up Comedy, once I could access them, came up trumps for me. After a few attempts to give me access my account they found a way that worked and they have gone out their way to ensure they have left me a happy customer with a satisfying compensatory package. Accordingly this review has changed from 1 star to 4 stars.

Fantastic, growing source of accessible comedy
Fantastic growing source of accessible, instantly-viewable comedy, plus live gigs and an ever-growing set of events like the brand new Access Festival (Jan 2023). Incredibly good value for the annual pass, and includes livestreams from things like the Edinburgh Fringe.
Fantastic value for money
Absolutely love NextUp! Thanks to them we got to watch shows every night of the Edinburgh Fringe despite not being able to leave the house due to chronic illness. Even outside of the Fringe they are a great streaming service. The shows available on demand are great but we especially like how much stuff they stream live. Love that they stream the All Killa No Filla live shows!!
There was a glitch in their system that charged me double by accident when my subscription automatically renewed, but they sorted it for me and even gave me a free month to make up for it. Great customer service.
Great value
Great value! Lots of great comedians here and a fantastic way to showcase up and coming comics, ESPECIALLY to those people that can't make it in person. More please!
NextUp is brilliant
NextUp is brilliant, a great source of comedy for when you really need a laugh and their live streams and audience participation put you in touch with the comedians

A night out in your pjs no travelling new and familiar comedy faced what’s not to like?
Cheaper than Netflix and has more laughs than squid games and the Crown put together
Next up the streaming service everyone who likes a giggle should sign up to, it's cheaper than Netflix and has more laughs than squid games and the Crown put together.
Not only do you get access to hundreds of live shows and short sets from established and new and up coming artists but also weekly (more some months) live streams from Comedy Clubs such as Angel Backyard and the Comedy Store.
And if that wasn't enough to be bandaging up your split sides they have been streaming shows live from Leicester comedy festival amounting to almost the whole of February having shows broadcast (and on one Saturday 5 shows) every night.
Great
Great! Streamed the Leicester Festival from my sofa, loved it!
Joined up to see No More Jockeys live
Joined up to see No More Jockeys live. The stream was well filmed and sounded great. Great value for the year!
(Android) Mobile Streaming Issues
I reported issues with playback on my mobile device a few months back (videos are not loading), and was told they were aware of such issues and to give it a few days.
The problem still hasn't been solved.
I paid for an annual subscription, and did so to specifically be able to watch on my mobile. A waste of money it seems.
It's a shame because I'd found some good acts during the couple of months that streaming via the mobile app did work.
Bobbins
Extremely, toe the line, lefty, box ticking, safe one size fits all "comedy". I got a free peek with a month free but jeeezus...it's actually comical that they think this is real comedy. With the exception of about 5 comedian's like Glen Wool and a couple of other TV friendly types you might smirk at when you can't find anything to watch...I wouldn't bother.
Thanks, NextUp!
NextUp was 100% my stand up comedy platform during lockdown! It was jammed packed with new and established artists, plus connected to comedy festivals, and the variety and brilliance easily made up for the bizarreness of watching gigs on zoom. My membership was paid for multiple times over. And the moderators are really lovely, too.
Even though live shows are starting to happen again, I'm still a little bit Covid-cautious - plus I might not always be able to get to venues - so I'm delighted that NextUp is still catering for people watching at home.
The best live comedy - in your home.
Some of the best comics don't regularly appear on national TV, so other than via podcasts there is not much chance to discover and be entertained by some of our most talented acts whilst at home. NextUp bridges that gap. There is a wealth of specials - hour long (approx) live shows to keep you laughing - with more content being added regularly, from comedians that you may have seen on TV, at the Edinburgh Festival or on tour, as well as many that you probably won't have be familiar with.
One of my favourite things about NextUp is when shows are streamed live. Not as good as being in the audience, but it's still live and the next best thing to actually being there.
A wonderful service for fans of stand-up comedy. I have no hesitance in recommending it.
Sanity Saver
Next up has been an absolute Sanity saver during Lockdown .
The live streams have been great.
A chance to enjoy new and already established Comedians.
A chance to become part of a new group of friends, to enjoy “ live” interaction via Zoom.
Loved this year so much I have bought lifetime membership. Great Value
Sanity Saving
Finding NextUp in 2020 quite literally saved my sanity. Not only were their festivals and events expertly run with amazing acts, but the on demand platform always has something to watch with new acts to discover as well as well established ones. Would recommend this to any fan of stand-up comedy.

I stumbled across this platform and loved it ever since. Themed options. Recorded or live options. National and international options. This is the go-to home of comedy!
Live Comedy Beamed Straight To Your TellyBox #netflixofcomedy
One of the best things I did in 2020 was signing up for NextUp! Hours and hours of streaming content to the fantastic live streams you literally can't help but smile, laugh and occasionally wet yourself.
NextUp Comedy - does exactly what it says on the tin!
Excellent value for live comedy fans
The pre-recorded shows are a small fraction of what the membership fee gets you. The real value over the last year is the vast number of live streamed shows that NextUp produces which you can either view via the app/site or participate as an audience member in via Zoom.
This has been a real lifeline during lockdown and the work they put into running these shows smoothly and professionally has been incredible. It’s also been a great showcase for comedians whose work I might not have discovered otherwise. For the subscription fee you pay, this is really is great value for money for the comedy fan.

There are so many reasons ro recommend Next Up comedy. Firstly, it's great value for money; weekly live shows, hundreds of shows that can be watched on demand and the occasional cheeky festival thrown in. Secondly it's incredibly well run; I've seen a lot of live comedy over lockdown and the tech gys with Next Up are the best. Finally, in a terrible year for live comedy, they've continued to support comedians.
Give them a go, you wont regret it.
Incredible value for money
Buying a Nextup comedy membership was one of the best things I did over lockdown. The vast amount of on demand shows, weekly online shows, and online festivals makes a membership incredible value for money. All the online shows are so enjoyable and very well run by the amazing tech team and hilarious lineups of comedians.
I'd highly recommend nextup to any comedy fan, they've helped keep stand up comedy alive during the toughest year for the industry, and I can't thank them enough for that.
