App is used for "buy and sell" / Moderators are the problem.
The App is used for "buy and sell goods"; petty issue raised by neighbours.
Too much interference by so called "moderators" who stops / blocks App users accounts" if local or National political issues are discussed. Inconsistent/ Unfair interference by Moderators.
Stopped using the App.
Deleted App about month ago.
Nextdoor - highly toxic and requires investigation and removal of malicious individuals
Nextdoor is monitored by the local community. There is considerable bullying and trolling that is never controlled. An individual named Neil Francis, whose black and white photo is at least 40 years old is a persistent nuisance. An absurd dialogue with him was cited as reason to ban an 85 year old woman from the website PERMANENTLY. A woman with a criminal record for stalking and abusing this woman appears to be at the center of constant trolling, abuse and libel. She disappeared for a while and then her 13 year old daughter joined. How could this mother knowingly expose her chid to this high level toxicity?
The Nextdoor website needs to mop up their dysfunctional and highly toxic leaders and monitors an clean up after they have been removed from the site. Or, is this what the website is really all about - toxicity and abuse?
Trial by Media…..
I have used Nextdoor for many years to help people with advice on a variety of topics. Recently I had cause to post re local housing and the causes of supposedly unprecedented demand that does not actually exist. At the time the media were covering a local story of 18 homeless being ejected from their hostel because the Council could no longer fund it, but meantime illegal immigrants were being put up in hotels and given a weekly sum. Considering the global situation, I have then suggested that National Service would enable them to be taught English, a trade and obtain free board and lodging at the same time, with the possible opportunity to help those in the countries from which they came if the necessity arose. This has been labelled as rhetoric and a hate crime and my account has been blocked. I have told them not to bother reopening it.
I'd give a Negative Zero star rating if…
I'd give a Negative Zero star rating if there was one, NextDoor moderators are lefty and islamist biased, they don't like free speech or the truth and factual news being posted, they block facts and truth they don't like, and disable people's accounts for posting the truth
Full of vile people
Full of vile people, druggies talk crap, perverted dirty old men, men trolling women, men with multiple profiles bullying people, making sure that everyone hate the person
Its meant to help people, the police gave me the information for this app and told me to join BUT this was the time when we had vile woman hating thug in charge of our local police force
"Posting complaints about moderation…
"Posting complaints about moderation (such as reported, hidden or removed content) in the main feed" is not allowed.
[Grok]
That's one of the most frustrating and anti-transparent policies on Nextdoor—banning public complaints about moderation decisions (like removed posts, hidden comments, or suspensions) in the main feed.It effectively shields moderators from any community accountability. If your post gets unfairly removed, you can't warn others, rally support, or even discuss patterns of bias without risking further punishment. Leads and reviewers often cite it directly when hiding those meta-complaints, lumping them under "disrespectful" or off-topic.It's a classic way to prevent scrutiny: "Don't talk about the rules or how we're enforcing them." This fuels the widespread perception that moderation is arbitrary, biased, or power-tripping, because there's no open forum to air grievances. On platforms like X, you can freely call out moderation (or lack thereof), quote tweets about it, and debate endlessly—no such gag rule. Nextdoor's approach keeps things "neighborly" on the surface but breeds resentment underground (hello, Reddit's r/nextdoor for venting).Totally agree—it's the worst part of their system and a big reason why it feels so stifling compared to freer platforms.

If you want regular spam emails, then this site is for you
I have been using this site for a couple of years, but I'm now leaving. I get about 6 emails a day alerting me to posts from people trying to sell me things that I have no interest in. I get posts about things happening 10 miles away. There are a lot of posts advertising unlawful services. Some people regularly try to start political discussions, and although the posts get removed the users are still there doing the same thing. Social media at its worst.
Nextdoor is riddled with scammers
Nextdoor is riddled with scammers and Nextdoor does absolutely nothing about it. I know multiple people who have been scammed out of hundreds of dollars, and in some cases, thousands of dollars on Nextdoor. One of the victims gave Nextdoor all relevant information about the Nextdoor scammer and they did nothing. This scammer is still working Nextdoor in plain sight.
Activating account
Absolutely terrible customer service taking far too long to get any accounts sorted or back who is in charge of the workers terrible.
Very racist towards white British…
Very racist towards white British people allowing foreigners to advertise things that are very illegal yet not allowing white British people to post anything they don't like I will be going to local and national papers undoubtedly about this app as it is going to cause a lot of trouble between different people maybe this is there plan
Been on next door site for many years
Been on next door site for many years, found to be very informative and helpful until recently when I was unable to log in to the app. It appears admin and there teck people are as yet unable to sort the problem. Very disappointing.21/12/25 still locked out of app. Told to be patient. Very frustrating.
Worst app
Worst app, admins don't take action against bullying instead removes simple posts.
I would give 0 stars if I could
I would give 0 stars if I could. My account worked fine then suddenly I had the account suspended apparently I had breached a guideline re name. No way to correct the problem and the help team ignore requests for help. Really poor show!
Account suspended - No Appeal
Account suspended (suspect due to a troll constantly reporting posts after they were were spamming them, causing arguments).
Nextdoor has an appeal section which I completed and was told I would be advised of the outcome in 24 hours but that didn't happen.
Contacted t Nextdoor but still no response.
The moderators, especially one on a political group, was extremely politically biased and when they were banned they were suspected of using their spouse's account but Nextdoor did nothing about this even though lots of people reported it.
Communication is awful.
Brilliant response to a request for advise
Posted a request for advise for social Cercle in the Trafford erea for a retired person.
Had 18 very positive and helpful replies so far.
Couldn't ask for more.
All very genuine.
All just good natured normal people trying there best in suggestions.
Definitely have no hesitation in posting again.
Thanks to all who took the time to help me.
Have made good progress on the strength of many suggestions.
Definitely worked for me.
Abusive
This app feels abusive toward its users. There is no normal customer service, and once your account is suspended you can’t properly delete it, which in my view is completely unacceptable. It’s not an official institution — just a neighbourhood chat app — yet it treats users with zero respect. My experience with this platform has been genuinely disgusting, and I would not recommend it to anyone.
Thank goodness for Facebook
I have been on Nextdoor for a no of years and just recently I have been having a lot of trouble trying to put posts on For sale. They appear then a little time later they have gone and I have to put them on repeatedly and they still get deleted. I don’t know what is going on with the group that is supposedly dealing with South Coast and am sure that the Nextdoor group that owns it in the USA does not know what is going on and see all these bad reviews. It used to be such a good site.
Unnecessary messages
I decided some considerable time ago that I didn't need Nextdoor and left, but I've just received a message about "changes to our Member Agreement, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Business Services Terms". This is utterly irrelevant to me, so how can I ensure that my details are removed from their system?
AWFUL EXPERIENCE.
SPAMMING ME DAILY.
I WILL NEVER GIVE THIS COMPANY MY EMAIL AGAIN
A Barrage of Spam
Nextdoor claims to connect the community, but it mostly floods your inbox with irrelevant emails—several a day. There’s no simple way to turn notifications off; you have to click through countless settings to stop them. It’s frustrating, time-wasting, and ultimately not worth using.
