Great camera with loads of features, still working my way through those, like the voice activated commands. Video quality is very good

Whilst this is a well-built camera, I don't believe it is worth the money. 1) The app is ok but not very intuitive - for example - if you are downloading videos from the SD card and want to cancel mid download you can click a cancel button. You then get a pop-up which says "Are you sure you want to cancel?" and the options it gives you are "Continue or Cancel", but they are the wrong options! The continue means "continue cancelling" and the cancel button means "cancel and continue" - they are completely counterintuitive. There are a few examples like this. 2) The next issue is that it's physically HUGE, much much bigger than I thought. It takes up a large amount of space in my window and if you have a small car front window then this will hang halfway down. My car is big and it's still massive in the window, on a small car it would be way too big. 3) There is a red light ring on the camera (I guess to alert someone breaking in that they are being filmed) but this cannot be disabled. I work quite a lot in my car, in the dark and this is very distracting. 4) The live view in the app has quite a lot of latency (10 seconds ish). I bought it on the basis that I could see my car in real time but it is not real time. My previous car was a Tesla and the sentry mode view in that car had almost zero latency. 5) There is NO way to turn off the internal cabin camera. I don't like the internal cabin camera, nor do I need it (I am not a cab driver or ever need to record passengers). There needs to be an option to disable this (again a software issue). 6) Subscription - it is almost useless without a subscription. If you choose not to pay the subscription you get the absolute basics of a camera that many other cheaper cameras do better. Whilst a connected camera requires a cell connection - there is no reason why the camera can't have an option for me to put my sim card in, or use my car's wifi hotspot. And the other features, like the AI modes etc, are already built into the camera. I refuse to have another product that has intentionally engineered out features that used to be built in to force a monthly payment. And the monthly payment will NEVER get cheaper - once you are in with this camera system, you aren't changing cameras regularly... you'll keep the camera for a good few years which you're paying them monthly for a long time to come - and if you stop - well you have bought a very very expensive basic camera. Whilst most of these are software issues and could be fixed, the physical size is simply a no-go. Having an option that does not have an internal cabin camera would greatly benefit this and allow a far neater unit (like a Thinkware U300 or similar). It's way too bulky and on that basis, I simply wouldn't recommend it until it has a redesign and is more discrete.

Its a big beast and seems very impressive, only time will tell if its really value for money (Front + Back is more than twice the cost of many other cams) but initial setup and testing seems to show its a worthwhile investment. The camera itself is very well built and you get the feeling it will survive a car crash better than your car will, whilst still looking good.

This dashcam has no inbuilt screen to view video as you drive and an app is required to do this using your phone as the video screen Since purchasing this dashcam two weeks ago I am not able to use it due to an issue in the iQ app which wants to force me to subscribe to an annual plan for between £69.99 and £99.99 or a monthly plan of £6.99 or £9.99 I should be able to use this dashcam free after the purchase price but cannot get any video for free due the the above mentioned app issue The issue is around the option in the app “Continue for free” which should allow me to use the dashcam in a limited mode not using some of the advanced features but I am in a loop. I choose continue for free but the only options are paid subscription options and there is no way that the support team have been able to help me around this I am currently in communication with the support team but this is still not working after two weeks and so I am without a dashcam

Live view doesn’t work, voice commands are problematic, Bluetooth keeps unpairing, can’t access anything on the cloud. The only thing that seems to work on this dashcam is recording to sd card, so not very good value for £450

Please don’t waste your money on this dash cam. Cabin camera works intermittently & the rear camera never works!! The connected fetchers are expensive & don’t work. It all looks very good in the ads but simply don’t work in practise.

Have not been fitted as the rear camera is not released until 17th of November 2023. Where as their original advertising made it look like the rear camera. Came with it
Amazing Product. However the only thing that lets this down is connectivity. Nextbase have done exactly what you want a dash cam to be without the silly gimmiks. You can buy a laptop for the price of the dash cam but If the connectivity is improved & less errors. It would be the ultimate dash cam. Only then it would be worth the spend

I am impressed with the build quality and also the features. I will now be able to literally 'keep an eye on' a new sports car purchase. It seems a lot of money but in that context, worth it. Yet to install it and I await a rear view camera availability. Would prefer a a suction cup fixing. I don't know if that's coming. Fantastic product.
