New Lodge Vineyard was created by Joyce Boulos-Hanna in 2000, long before planting a vineyard became as fashionable as it is today. She was ahead of her time and an inspiration to those that follow in her footsteps. On the outskirts of Earls Barton, in Northamptonshire, this boutique vineyard is set on a picturesque, southwest facing slope overlooking the Nene Valley, and is located very near to one of the oldest recorded vineyards of Roman times. Over recent years the ‘Earls Baron’ name has gained tremendous recognition, in particular the Sparkling ‘Nene Valley Nectar‘ and the vineyard continues to enjoy success with Bronze and Silver Awards year in, year out: over 40 of them now, if anyone’s counting!

My daughter and I went to the Mothers Day cream tea special yesterday afternoon. We were made very welcome and although the weather was awful we were warm and dry in the outside marquee. All the food was tasty - especially the scones - and plentiful. The chocolate cake was lovely but one cake too far! We left feeling very full! Thank you for a nice afternoon.

Such a lovely setting, gorgeous wines and delicious food. The addition of a live singer really added to the atmosphere. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely return.
