Misleading subscription

I had a very disappointing experience with New Faith Network and feel misled by their subscription setup.
I signed up for what was presented as a 14-day free trial. I made sure to cancel within the trial period, and the system confirmed that my subscription was cancelled. However, only later did I discover a less visible message stating that the cancellation would only take effect after paying for a full year subscription.
This was not clearly communicated during sign-up. It gave the impression of a standard monthly subscription with a free trial, not a binding yearly contract paid in installments.
When I contacted customer service, they refused to help and insisted that I am obligated to pay for the entire year, despite cancelling within the trial period.
In my opinion, this is misleading and lacks transparency. Customers should be clearly informed upfront if they are committing to a full year, especially when a “free trial” is advertised.
I would strongly advise others to read all terms very carefully before signing up, or avoid this service altogether if you are unsure. This experience feels like a subscription trap rather than a fair service.

Giving one star is being generous

Giving one star is being generous. I wish I could give them negative zero stars. These company is a scam!!! Once you subscribe you can't end your subscription and they will automatically renew it without your permission.

Do not sign up to this streaming platform

I signed up to Faith Network from my mobile phone as the movie i wanted to watch was advertised as this is the correct streaming platform that has the movie. However once i signed up, there was no sign of the movie in the streaming platform. So i decided the same that that i signed up, to cancel my subscription. What a surprise to find out not only can’t i cancel from my mobile phone, it has to be from a computer, and sorry…. You are having to pay a monthly subscription for a YEAR before this can be cancelled! If i could give no stars… that would be too much. What a disappointment from a streaming platform.

Not good enough!

I try to support Christian content because I desire more of it but let's be honest the content on this site is insufficient but that's not my problem here

Clearly they have a problem with people not recognising that when they click monthly it's a yearly contract paid monthly which can be confusing. Nevertheless, the unprofessional response I got back from them shows that this company does not deserve a single penny more from me and to still charge me after I already complained and told them to cancel only adds insult

Let me give you the copy of the email I received from their customer service....

*****
Dear James,

Thank you for your messages and helping us to find out that you registered your year subscription with ****
It is amazing to read your first email, blaming us that you choose wrong subscription plan. Really in trend with nowadays trend to always blame somebody and never look in the mirror.

We really appreciate the feedback and want to ask you what we need to change in the 3 options we present. (added the screenshot below). What do we need to make it more clear what options there are? And make the nature of the subscription more explicit going forward.
Do we need to add more sentences? Do we have to present "Yearly subscription" bigger? What can we do to make it more transparent?

We really want to make this better, we have added the year subscription with monthly payments, because of a lot of request from members that are supporting our network for years and years and missed out on some other discounts. You choose to profit from the discount instead of choosing the monthly subscription which can be cancelled every month. So please let us know what the issue is here.

Kind regards,
Robbert from New Faith Network

Is this business really Christian

Is this business really Christian? The behaviours of this network is in direct opposition to the standards expected when using the name of Jesus or Christianity. I wondered if the company are Christian at all or whether they have got into financial trouble and that is why they are using deceptive means to extort money from people. There was a man who stole from a church for many years while working in their finance department, it was in the news last year that he choked to death on some food. Judgement does come, Yeshua, Jesus, Our Father does indeed see all and judgement will come.

Caution! Subscription details unclear

Don’t sign up for a free trial unless you are careful to scroll down and select the actual monthly subscription. What appears to be a monthly $9.95 subscription is actually an annual one charged monthly.
Selecting that option will lock you into a year long subscription.
It’s a very unusual way of structuring a plan and easy to sign up for something you don’t want.
I would expect a lot more content too.
I had to have my account terminated after cancelling the membership to prevent the automatic monthly charge.

good movies

good movies. but the app and website always has problems. I expect it to work when the subscription is so expensive. now I cannot even watch the movies. only 3 tv shows show up on the website

edit: I think it was because I used vpn on a country I did not create my account in. I think you can only see from the country where you made the account

Sadly they are scammers

Sadly they are scammers! I have disputed and cancelled several months ago but they keep taking money!!! Saying I signed up for a year I've NEVER heard of something like that for a TV channel and even though they said they will "do me a favour" and cancel they Still take my money every month!! I will avoid them at all cost they have like 2 nice shows only 1 season and some super weird low budget stuff. I can watch everything they have on y-t and cancel when ever I want. Just avoid scammers im sure there are better Christian TV channels out there that's not scammers very sad though! People should have a choice of when they want to leave and not get scammed!

Non-transparant subscription, stuck to a year against my will.

As other reviews say, not at ALL transparant about the free trial. I literally have no clue how i'm stuck to a year contract now. They've must've done it in some scummy way, because I definitely read it as being able to cancel it monthly. Don't get a subscription here, not worth it. Definitely as a 'christian' network should not be this scummy. Which raises the question who actually owns this network.

Watch out for payment obligation

Their app worked great on my Apple TV. The trial period worked hassle-free as promised. I intended to use it only to watch season 5 of The Chosen (which I love!) as it came out.
However I was mislead by the quotes on their website: "No obligation - you can cancel anytime" , "You can easily cancel your subscription at any moment" and "Your subscription is monthly terminable". It appeared I ended up with a yearly subscription. Easy to cancel, but payment obligation stays. Advice: read carefully and choose Flexible subscription.
I did not expect this from a company that calls itself Christian.

DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS "CHRISTIAN" APP :(

DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS. like others, i was charged for a yearly subscription without any notice beforehand and when i cancelled after my first payment was taken i received an email to say sorry to see you go etc. which obviously sounds like its been cancelled. but they have continued to take payment the following month and when emailing them to ask for assistance/for it to be cancelled i was basically just told no we will be charging you every month for a year. even though i dont used the app. was not expecting to be scammed by a "christian" company. i am so disappointed.

Same thing happened to me as the…

Same thing happened to me as the reviewer who said that they charged them yearly, no warning, no email, just straight up $95 from my bank account. Disgusting to say the least. They are refusing to fully refund me!

Don't subscribe for two week trial

Don't subscribe for two week trial, I got charged yearly fee without any notification, no email notification of charge either, there is a monthly option but they chose to charge me the larger fee of course😞, customer services ignored my request for refund. Have called my bank to block further charges. Very sad to be treated this way 😞

Terrible network, works more like a scam

Just thought to drop a review to protect someone else - don’t do it, don’t drop your card details, this operates more like a scam than Netflix, transparency is zero and even after you have paid for the month against your will and they refuse you a refund, you still can’t watch anything for the month. Your subscription goes on even after you have gone through hell trying to cancel it and they tell you it’s been cancelled - DON’T DO IT - in my candid opinion - more of a waste of my money and time as I got zero value for money , I’m just hoping they stop charging my card, if not I’ll have to change bank cards -

Scam

Would have put 0 stars if possible. Have had multiple charges under different company names so didn't recognise it being charged to our credit card up to 3 times a month! It's a total scam or using the company to scam. Not very Christan!! Have had to cancel credit card completely!

Cancellation/Contact

Loved the content I was able to watch but realised it was too much for my use so tried to cancel. The cancel button was nowhere to be found so I used their contact site letting them know I wanted to end the free trial. Despite 3 attempts, I've been charged twice with no response to my email. I haven't received any of the email verifications either but the pathway to cancel is now showing up. It appears the only thing that did work well was their ability to take money that wasn't theirs.
