Personal Service

You can raise a ticket and get a real assigned person to answer the question which they do very quickly. This is a VERY efficient way of handling simple questions no need to hold onto a phone call or wait ages for an online chat.

Online chatting is available when needed for maybe more detailed analysis and step by step help.

Another very important advantage over all AMERICAN hosting you need to be aware of is that their website enables you to not only buy a service but also to CANCEL a service without fuss or requiring you to go to a call or chat and have to go through the ridiculous routine of having to explain why you want to do something. In OTHER words they know who the CUSTOMER is and recognise them as IMPORTANT. This makes all the difference as well as that the staff are capable and knowledgeable AND they are really stationed in the Company which hosts its own services and support. THIS makes Netcetera both outstanding and exceptional.

Netcetera have saved my website from disaster.

On a number of ocasions Netcetera have acted quickly to resolve problems with my website. Although they may not be able to answer the phone (we are now in Lock-Down!) they respond to emailed queries or requests for help with in a few minutes at any time of the day.

Following an awful experience of having our Domain name purchased by someone in Bulgaria and having to buy it back from them; moving the Domain to Netcetera was a painless and very fast process. It really reduced my stree levels. Thank you!

Personal Service

If you send an e mail you get a direct answer from a real person that is good news and unusual nowadays in the age of AI or any automated service. As a hosting company though they do not always keep you up to date with their new services and make it easy to upgrade you tend to have to do this yourself.

Nominet increase domain name prices by…

Nominet increase domain name prices by 15p per domain yet Netcetera increase theirs by 100p more than 6 times the Nominet increase. How is this justified?

Nominet continues milking .uk registry cash cow with 4 per cent price rise for... what exactly?

The business in charge of the UK’s internet registry has decided to raise the price of all .uk domains, sparking fury among domain owners who accuse the non-profit of milking the registry to fund executive pay rises and unrelated business expansions. “Following the annual review of pricing by the Board last week, the wholesale cost for a .UK domain registration or renewal will change to £3.90 per year from 13 January 2020,” Nominet said in an announcement on Tuesday.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs.
You cannot ring them as their direct number hardly works. If you do get through then you cannot raise a support ticket as you should already have one created via the chat support!!
Costs for additional extra's are exorbitantly high. (£89 a month for 8gb of ram)
Chat support seem disinterested.

Response from Netcetera:
1) From my understanding you had a self managed server with us - and suffered 2 x Ransomware attacks. Each time, the Netcetera support team rebuilt the server for you - at no cost to yourselves, even though you do not have any Managed Service with us, nor did they ask for Server Admin time.
2) I am also aware you have spoken with one of our Senior Admins, Chris, directly - even having his direct private number.
We did this as we regarded you as a valued client and wanted to help you as much as possible.
3) I would also like to mention that our 24/7 Live Chat service is not a substitute for our Support Ticketing system.
4) For the RAM pricing I believe Chris came back to you with a much better monthly overall price for your server.
5) I am disappointed to read your review, which I do not believe is a true reflection of the service we provided you.

My responses
1) Yes but when there are 10 customers who use this server and rebuilding from our end takes a full day. It has a severe impact on their live service. I do not want the ransomware attacks to happen in the first place. Having moved to AWS now since we left we have had 0 ransomware attacks and a much better service all round.

2) I only received Chris's private number on the second attack.

3) Yes but you have to contact chat to raise a ticket only then can you ring the number to further escalate the ticket. Plus on multiple occasions the MAIN phone line for Netcetera was not working so I had to resort to chat. And Charlie one of the support agents needs to go on a customer service training course as his responses were brusque and he seemed irritated at me contacting them.
Feel free to check the chat logs.

4) Yes but only after the 2 ransom attacks and only after I kicked off threating to leave.
5) Up to the ransomware attacks I would rate the service as a 3 out of 5 mediocre at best.

A superb service from an excellent…

A superb service from an excellent company, spearheaded by Conrad the business development manager who solved every problem I had and built in a very short time the sort of relationship that normally takes years to bloom.

Great Service

Never had any problem!
My site and domains is always online and the Support is superfast and helpful! Love the option for Bitcoin payment, this provider will have a successful future I can tell - can't do anything wrong with them imo!

Man and boy I have been with Netcetera since the launch in 1996 - Peter has helped me through some tough times, the first class support as always been there and the BIG thing, as they have grown the exceptional service has remained the same. They are a big operation but you do feel special and the support is brilliant. Here's to the next 23 years - totally recommended

Highly Recommended

I have been with Netcetera for a few years now and am very happy with their service. I have many clients with a variety of websites from personal to ecommerce.
I previously used other hosting companies which left a lot to be desired!
