Great design, poor durability – not built for serious use
Nemo products stand out for their clever features and thoughtful design, but in my experience they fall short on durability. I bought one of their ultralight tents, and after just over 20 days of total use the metal frame snapped in half. By that point, I had already needed to patch the fabric in several places, and even the storage bag stitching was starting to come undone.
It’s also worth noting that their lifetime warranty is limited to manufacturing defects, which means many real-world issues—like wear and tear or structural failures under normal use—are likely to be excluded.
If you’re only planning occasional, light use, their gear might still be worth considering—assuming you’re comfortable with the price. However, if you camp regularly or need equipment you can rely on in tougher conditions, I’d be cautious about choosing Nemo.
