Great design, poor durability – not built for serious use

Nemo products stand out for their clever features and thoughtful design, but in my experience they fall short on durability. I bought one of their ultralight tents, and after just over 20 days of total use the metal frame snapped in half. By that point, I had already needed to patch the fabric in several places, and even the storage bag stitching was starting to come undone.

It’s also worth noting that their lifetime warranty is limited to manufacturing defects, which means many real-world issues—like wear and tear or structural failures under normal use—are likely to be excluded.

If you’re only planning occasional, light use, their gear might still be worth considering—assuming you’re comfortable with the price. However, if you camp regularly or need equipment you can rely on in tougher conditions, I’d be cautious about choosing Nemo.

Incredible sleeping pads, better customer service!

I had a Nemo Cosmo 25L sleeping pad since 2017, had a seam break in January 2026, and when I asked for advice on how to fix it or if there’s anything I could do, they covered it under the warranty and gave me a gift card for the full price, which was crazy. Genuinely incredible sleeping pads and customer service.

Great customer service

I needed to replace tent poles, I reached out to the NEMO support which responded quickly and got everything sorted right away. Really appreciated the fast and friendly help.

No meaningful warranty in Europe

I bought the Nemo Hornet Osmo tent last year and initially was happy with it, but the flysheet started to come apart at the seam after a week of use. It is a lightweight tent, but the design seems too fragile. On their website Nemo proundly state "OUR PRODUCTS ARE MEANT TO LAST A LIFETIME". I contacted Nemo for warranty/repair and they told me in Europe it is the retailer's responsibility. I contacted the retailer in France who had no clue what to do so they told me they had contacted Nemo for guidance. Despite my follow-up emails I haven't heard another word from Nemo Customer Service. It seems Nemo's warranty promise is worthless, at least in Europe. For such an expensive tent this is completely unsatisfactory and a hugely disappointing experience. I had expected far better from an outdoors company that positions itself as a high quality, sustainable and trustworthy brand. I would not recommend this company nor trust their products again.

Update: Retailer finally got back to me to say that repair by Nemo Europe will take more than three months!

Buyer be aware- Tensor™ All-Season Ultralight Insulated Sleeping Pad (Very Noisy)

Tensor™ All-Season Ultralight Insulated Sleeping Pad

Buyer be aware, this is one of the nosiest sleeping pads I have had so far. I bought it based on numerous reviewers online and positive reviews. Nemo as a company must have paid a lot of online reviewers or AI bots to say it is one of the quietest tested for 2025, clearly it is not or you need to have your hearing checked. If I had a chance to return it after one use I would, very disappointed in the company and their claims.

Terrible quality, dodging warranty

I bought the Nemo Osmo tent last year after hearing good things, but it ripped the very first time I set it up. It also had weird brown stains on the fabric straight out of the pack, which seemed off.

I contacted Bergfreunde (the retailer), and they told me to get in touch with Nemo. Nemo then said it’s the retailer’s responsibility in Europe and told me to go back to Bergfreunde. This went back and forth multiple times until I gave up. No one wanted to take ownership of the issue.

Really frustrating experience. I expected much better from a company like Nemo, especially for something that was clearly defective from the start.

I would not trust these products.

This is a mixed review

This is a mixed review. I purchased a 2 Person OSMO Dragonfly ultralight tent from Nemo for use on a month long cross-country motorcycle/camping trip from Florida to Utah. The tent was used every night for two consecutive weeks. Lets start with the BAD and end on a GOOD note

The BAD: I was using an ultralight cot to sleep on in the tent. These cots have aluminum tension bars with plastic feet on them that hold the cot open. I weigh 180lbs. Obviously when you lie on these cots there is some flex to them. Towards the end of the trip I noticed that the plastic feet chewed through the floor of the tent, creating over a dozen holes in the floor. BTW, I always used the optional Footprint under the floor of the tent which, interestingly, has no holes in it. Needless to say this is disappointing performance in a $450.00 tent used for the first time.

The GOOD.

1. Upon returning from the trip I immediately contacted customer service. They were GREAT to say the least. They responded promptly and offered to repair the tent floor free of charge one time. Their communications to me were excellent, the tent was repaired promptly considering this is their busy season. The repairs appear to be solid, although I haven't as yet had occasion to use the tent again, each hole was patched on both sides. They use a rubbery compound on the inside of the tent to patch it, likely to insure it is watertight. This compound increases the friction against the floor. Needless to say I will never use my ultralight cot in this tent again over top of this repair, not that I intended to do regardless.

I also had an earlier question for their Customer Service department about the tent poles. My question was handled quickly and professionally.

Bottom line GREAT and RESPOSIVE Customer Service. However I do feel they should have replaced the tent given the extent of the damage due to what I believe is reasonable (sleeping on a cot) usage.

2. The weather in the Southwest United States this time of year can be unpredictable and violent. The tent easily withstood extremely heavy rain and 30 mph winds with gusts to 50mph without issue.

Don’t waste your money or time

Don’t waste your money or time. I was totally into them and then found out that the money I payed thinking that a good warranty and customer service was worth the money was just a lure to get you in and disappoint you. Look elsewhere

Worst Customer Service & Order Fulfillment

I placed an order with Nemo on July 10th. After two weeks of not receiving shipping information, I attempted to contact Nemo to find out what was going on. I left dozens of messages through the ticketing system, 'live chat' agent, and voicemails. I wasn't able to get a response until August 3rd! The rep's response was they had a new hire who forgot to hit a 'checkbox'!? This is the worst ordering and customer experience I've ever had. We're paying premium prices. Increased 'seasonal demand' is not an excuse for this; the company's customer service process & engagement are completely broken. I will not be using this company again.

Romance in the Hornet's Nest

I met a girl. We went camping in her Nemo Hornet 1P tent. Pushing the boundaries of what two can do inside the "Hornet's Nest" we had a magically romantic evening together, and were quite pleasantly surprised. Thankyou Nemo for your love of tents so we can enjoy love in tents

Buyer beware

Buyer beware

The Aurora tent with pawprint comes in two types. When ordering make sure you get the correct one.

I ordered the tent and pawprint at the same time. The snaps do not fit.

After talking with Nemo they say sure we will help just spend more money to send it and say pay for insurance.
I have to go through all the hassle for a mistake that they made.
When all I asked is send me the correct pawprint or at least tell your sales team to put out the knowledge article to send the correct one.
The fix is all on the customer. That is very poor customer service.
All I asked is send me the right one.
