All good but please one option needed.

All good but please add the option to increase the connection time when traveling by train with several trains included: to be able to select the trains with longer intervals. Default options usually include very short connections that aren’t sufficient, especially for Deutsche Bahn.

I strongly warn anyone considering Navan to look elsewhere. Booking errors, unresponsive support, and unexpected charges have ruined multiple trips. They take no responsibility for their mistakes and offer zero compensation. Terrible service, not worth a single penny.

Credit Booking Nightmare

Here’s a tight, Trustpilot-style version you can drop in:

> I booked personal travel for my wife and me through Navan. We had to cancel the trip, leaving flight credits. When trying to rebook, I couldn’t apply both credits myself, so I contacted Navan to handle it. They rebooked the trip incorrectly as business travel and didn’t apply the credits at all. I then had to cancel and rebook *twice* through Navan, and I’m still on hold trying to get this resolved. What should have been a simple credit rebooking turned into a frustrating, time-consuming mess.

Shockingly bad platform

It's a very unfortunate feature of trustpilot that 0 stars isn't possible. Navan is one of those companies that defines hair pulling experience. How something so egregiously bad is nowadays a sub-par substitute for a service and a public company is beyond me.

I don't even know where to start:
- Mis-sold rooms, that get you in trouble with hotels. The pricing you see is not always accurate, because their system is badly implemented behind the scenes.
- The UX of it with refreshes every 10 seconds is something from a horror movie, I have never ever seen anything this bad on any major website I use
- Support is courteous, just largely useless
- Their "expense feature" is modern torture, something extremely badly done, as is their corporate card feature.

For the last 40 minutes I've been ripping my hair out trying to accomplish the simple task of paying for a hotel room. Nope, not with Navan. Avoid this piece of trash like the bubonic plague is chasing you.

False sale, powerless support, no complaints process

Navan sold me a hotel room that was misrepresented at the point of booking. The room was clearly shown and confirmed in the app as a Club Room with lounge access, but the reservation actually created was for a standard room with no club access.

Navan later confirmed this themselves after contacting the hotel. Despite this, the same incorrect room continues to be advertised on Navan’s website and app, meaning the issue has not even been corrected at source.

What makes this worse is Navan’s support model. They offer three contact methods — chat, email, and phone — yet none of these channels connect you to anyone with the authority to actually resolve the issue. Every agent I spoke to promised a resolution and said they would “get back to me”. No one ever did.

There is no visible complaints process, no way to escalate to a supervisor, and no ownership. The only “solution” offered was to rebook the correct room at a higher cost, despite the error originating entirely on Navan’s platform.

This is not an upgrade request. It is a false sale, followed by a frustrating support experience designed in a way that prevents meaningful resolution.

Based on this experience, I would not trust Navan to accurately represent hotel inventory or to stand behind bookings when problems arise.

I used Navan for the business travel and it is less convenient than booking directly

I used Navan for the business travel and didn't like the experience of booking flights. The flights were more expensive than when bought directly and you need to pay the change fees afterwards that are also higher than when changing directly. I'm also not allowed to manage flight upgrades through my personal profile on BA website since this requires a code from the travel agent.

No help at all, wasted experience…

If you’re just wanting to book flights the software is good and does its job. The moment anything goes wrong or you need chaging just forget about it. Wet toilet paper would be more helpful. No matter how many times I rang and got different people they have no clue, there not travel agents, the don’t listen to what your telling them and unless you guide them step by step it’s pointless asking. Just use them as a platform to get flights but anything else is a waste of time and money

Navan has got a lot to offer for individuals and for business users however the platform is so powerful it is difficult to get an understanding of how it can benefit individual needs and business users. Especially where policies are set up.

Honest Review: Navan is horrible

Highest level summary: Navan is horrible for actual users/employees/startup team members who have to use the app on a daily basis for travel. It's great for the business owners who don't want to be involved in the tax reporting and expenses portion of their business. The app is more functional than peers.

Here's why Navan is terrible for daily users who have to use it as a functional tool, and not a management device:
1. No actual travel support. Personally I travel for work 3 times a month. 33% of the time I have been stranded in airports, or without a hotel, or rental car issues. 1 time is unacceptable more than 30 is criminal for a service. Their customer support does not help book, they push it back to the airlines, hotels, rental car agencies. Takeaway: You are better off to book without using Navan as an intermediary. If you use Navan for booking, plan to sleep on airport floors a lot.

2. Navan prices for hotels, airfare, rental, are non-competitive compared to consumer level booking sites. There is a clear markup done, and simple searches comparing identical flights on google vs navan will show this. Additionally, full rewards points are not fully distributed to end users - oddly enough.

3. Expense reporting does not work, you will have to resubmit several times as an employee. This is both from a server side (uploading) as well as from an approval side. Navan outsources its approvers to developing countries, and they struggle with reading receipts, documentation. Sometimes things get approved that shouldn't, but more importantly as a user actually on the trips, things get rejected that shouldn't.

4. Navan card is unreliable, turns off mid trip, and is nonfunctional in developing countries. Self-explanatory. What's worse however, is if you reach out to customer service, they will gaslight you and tell you the card is working. This can happen while you have police in a third world pointing a gun at you demanding you pay for taxis. With Navan it is always necessary to have a personal card with a large credit limit, since Navan's business card is not reliable. Prepare to pay out of your personal account for cars, hotels, anything really. *Note: One of the reasons why I was prompted to write this review is because while on a business trip in Mexico, Navan's card stopped functioning. When I reached out to Navan, they said that it is functional and usable.

What does Navan do well:
Consolidate expense reports for business owners (if you trust their systems and approval staff to do the tasks accurately).
The app is functional, but could easily be built by three software engineers if your company has three to spare.

End takeaway:
Ultimately as a daily user doing the traveling, Navan is worse than if I self booked through non business methods. There is no functional support for travel, the card is unreliable, and the expense submitting takes hours out of my day instead of minutes.

If your business needs expense management software, this is an okay solution. But for the love of all that is good, do not subject your employees to suffer using the Navan card, Navan support, or Navan booking.

As a user in Latam

As a user in Latam, the app has shown multiple errors during booking stages. At a point that my last two trips I had to book through chat support. Once it even delete a booking proposal I already had with required internal approvals. I would not recommend this app to your company until they fix their product

I'm a huge fan of Navan

I'm a huge fan of Navan. As an EA who books travel constantly for different people, different companies, multiple airlines-- its a great portal to house all of that in one spot and keep it organized. Great user experience. I think the admin side of the product could use some more development but the day to day UI/UX is right on point!

Dynamic market-based rates for…

Dynamic market-based rates for in-policy travel has helped us ensure that we are spending appropriately in all regions. Auto-approvals for expense reimbursements has allowed us to save time and energy for a large number of submissions. Reporting is granular and enables us to fully understand how, when and where we are spending money around the world and travel and expenses. Unfortunately, VAT recoveries has been a real challenge.

Most things within the app are well thought through from a UX perspective.

The only downside is we occasionally get reports on difference in pricing when going direct to the airline.. although the teams are working through that.

Navan is a very user-friendly and convenient choice

Navan is a very user-friendly and dynamic platform that makes booking travel simple and efficient. The interface is intuitive, and the overall experience feels streamlined, which is great for managing trips quickly.

However, there are a few areas for improvement:

* Hotel pricing - can sometimes be higher compared to other platforms.
* On occasion - the site has crashed during the booking process, resulting in lost reservations.
* These issues, combined with occasional extra-high prices, can be frustrating.

Despite these challenges, the convenience and integrated features still make Navan a strong choice for business travel management.

Lost credit, poor customer service

Seems good, but they're a terrible company to work with. I still had a $372 credit, but every time I booked a hotel, my account was blocked. I contacted them nine times in total. The credit has now expired, and I can't get through to customer service. My advice: don't use this company.
