Great service while in the Baxia store BUT when i checked my receipt they had charged my in USD instead of Euros - a classic "trick" used to rip off the tourist who isn't on guard. A 4% mark up and loust exchange rate. I will not be back.
This Wine Shop have been shipping worldwide since 1995 which is extraordinary, they are efficient and clearly a quality assurance shop.
Impressed! I ordered a mixed case of wine from them last week. Ana was very helpful in checking on available vintages -[ I could knock a star off, as the website was not completely up-to-date, but it would feel petty as this is very common esp. for online merchants who also run physical shops and Ana was friendly, quick to reply and offered to source whatever was currently available from the winemakers to supplement what they had in stock - I took them up on this and all went smoothly ]. Delivery was fast and the wines were very, very carefully packed - you could see someone had spent a fair bit of time doing it... they even added a half bottle of vintage port as a gift :) Prices for the wines were standard for Portugal (which is great value) & they have a very nice system for charging for delivery, in which the more you order the lower the delivery charge - I liked that. Would have no hesitation in ordering from them again.
Bought a couple of ports from them. One bottle was no longer in stock and their customer service was quick to sort out a solution. Will probably purchase from them again!
